International Women's Day Errand

Interacting with @Pericles Dralt

Breana tilted her head awkwardly as she pondered over Pericles's question. Having experienced such technologies growing up, she thought that such systems of payment is normal. She scratched her head, wrapping her head around at what he pointed out. "Ah, erm... yeah, mostly 'cause them utility poles are from a different company and what not..." She shrugged casually. She rarely uses such necessities, mostly because she rarely has the need to go out. Breana nodded as she listened his reasoning. At first she was concerned that he was talking to just a portrait of his parents. "Does he... not owl them that much...?" Her mind wandered. Then the worry turned into her stifling her laughter as Pericles's thought of owning his own smartphone. "That'd prolly raise some eyebrows for sure..." She chuckled. "Though they're pretty pricey... Dad had to pool in some money from the bookshop just to get me a decent one..." She sighed, still a bit guilty at the fact her Dad did it only to have it just collecting dust in her family bedroom most of the time now.

"Huh..." She said, nodding as she was surprised that Pericles thought that she's fortunate to be knowledgeable in muggle culture. A thought that she herself didn't think of, since most of her person experiences in Hogwarts so far made having a muggle background a bit of a hindrance. Breana was so hung up on that thought that she didn't even notice Pericles's hesitation of calling her a half-blood. She wouldn't have thought about it too much anyways, since she hasn't encountered such discrimination yet. Her eyes lit up as Pericles mentioned the prospects of being study mates. "Oh!! Of course, I'd be happy to study you-- WITH! W-with... you..." She stammered, clearing her throat as she's internally screaming at such an embarrassing tongue-tied moment. "E-erhm, though I don't know if I would be able to teach you that much... Most of it is kinda like second nature to me, so I guess... it'll be a learning experience for both of us?" She said sheepishly.

She nodded in agreement as Pericles then enthused and started complimenting on the Trasfiguration professor. "Oh yeah! It's really cool that she has a reputation like that in spite of that! I hope I can get on her good side, imagine getting Animagus lessons from her..." Breana said. She then smiled as she gave the parchment to him, relieved that Pericles was happy with what she drew. She personally didn't think of it that much, but she was still happy to help him out with his letter. "Sure, sure! It ain't no problem at all, really..." Breana grabbed the hand that Pericles offered, clumsily shaking it. "And yeah! We gotta plan on that studying venture and stuff! Happy International... Witch's Day... to you too...?" She said, instantly regretting ending her sentence with that. Still, she waved Pericles goodbye, watching him walk away from the scene.

As soon as he is completely out of her peripheral vision, she smacked her forehead with the end of her palm. "Studying you?? Really?" She muttered to herself, groaning as she concentrated on her own letter. Thankfully, her letter for her mother was almost done. She flipped through the school album, wondering if she can find more information about her. Then, she furrowed her eyebrows, as something peculiar caught her eye. Figuring that it wasn't the place to air out such troubled yet, she finished her letter, and quickly scurried off of the Great Hall, the book tucked closed to her chest.

Breana has exited the thread.
