Hufflepuff vs Slytherin
SPECTATOR THREAD FOR BROOM RACING - HUFFLEPUFF vs SLYTHERIN - WINTER 2026
Date: 29th January 2026
Time: 2 pm
Weather: snowy with cold wind
The weather was definitely not the best. Cold wind was freezing and she was glad she took more warm clothes. The day she preferred to spend somewhere inside the castle was however chosen for the racing. And just like back in spring, Linda was now commenting on the racing some hours after completing her own race.
Hufflepuff vs Slytherin. Just like it was in spring. But who will win this time? The teams didn't seem to change ever since that time, and Linda was ready to start. After all, the quicker she'll start, the quicker they all could hopefully finish and go back to the warm castle. Welcome to the Winter racing game! It's time for the Hufflepuff vs Slytherin game to start and we're welcoming teams to come and prepare for the beginning of the race. Who will win this game? I expect it to be fascinating to see.
A brief pause to let the students cheer up for their teams and she looked at the players. There as usual was her bestie. And some other faces that she knew. The map seems to be not too hard, but be aware of the Boggart waiting somewhere there. Are you all ready? Then let's start!
This is a spectator thread for the Broom Race. 200 words is still the requirement for all threads. Please remember that you are not able to interface with the players in the race from a spectator thread.

Why would anyone thought this was a good day for a race? It's very cold that day that he had no choice but to wear a scarf, gloves and extra layer of clothes to combat the weather. He preferred staying inside the castle with something warm to drink when it's this cold. But, even with that thought in mind, he kept walking to the race area because no matter the weather, he wouldn't miss watching this for the world!
Ever since his first flying lesson, it didn't leave his mind. When his broom lifted off the ground, he knew he wanted to learn more and do more. Since then, he would watch every match, be that official or unofficial games that some students organized. Lucky for him, he was able to join unofficial quidditch games and broom races. He was not an expert flyer yet but with enough practice, he knew he would get better.
Once he reached the spectator stands, there were already some students cheering for Hufflepuff and Slytherin houses. He went up the wooden steps and took a seat. Once settled, he rubbed his hands together to warm them as his eyes swept around the place and the teams below. One day, he was hoping he would make the house team. But before that, he needs to train harder to be a better flyer. He didn't want to embarrass his house in case. If he's going to join them, he wanted to be prepared.
When the commentator's voice was heard over the crowd and announced the start of the race, he sat on the edge of his seat trying to see the entire game. The cold didn’t matter as much now, his focus was on the sky and the racers. He's excited and nervous for them, and strangely motivated to get better himself. Watching them like this inspired him more to train harder. One day, I wouldn't just be watching anymore.
