Aziza's eyes seemed to never leave the movement on the field. She had decided to focus on one group of players, finding it much easier than the struggle to focus on every movement happening at once. Her focus had been turned to the chasers, watching their movements as they moved back and forth across the field. Occasionally her eyes flicking to the sudden movement of a bludger, but not giving them too much attention.

The young girl should have paid more attention to what had already been happening, because suddenly the current Keeper of the team was not there and Aziza was being offered a spot on the back of another players broom. She definitely should have been paying more attention, because she suddenly believed she was forgetting everything she had been practicing for this moment. The dark haired girl had not been expecting to actually be pulled into the game at all, assuming she would be on the bench the entire time.

With the deep breath, the girl moved forwards, "Yeah, yeah we can definitely do this." Aziza said, her voice clearly lacking any confidence in the words she said. Deep down she knew she was going to be okay, but she was terrified of letting her team down.

Taking a penalty lap was boring — far more boring than trying to take more people out again. Yet, despite that, the opportunity it provided to clear his mind was almost welcome — almost. Silas flew at top speed, focusing on the feeling of the cold wind on his face, the rippling of his clothes, and the sound in his ears. He tried to steady his breathing as he whipped around the pitch, hoping to get his head back in the right place to start playing properly by the time he was done with the lap. His gaze wandered to the rest of the players and he assessed what was going on so that he could be ready to continue and contribute in just a moment. However, right as he did so, he saw Oonagh get hit again.

He wasn’t sad, nor did he actually care about her wellbeing, but there was the slightest flicker of disappointment as he watched the Gryffindor go down. She was fun and had made these past few weeks a little bit more bearable, despite the fact that Silas still detested being at this school. She was also the one who had brought him to this game in the first place, as well as that previous match, too. Well, whatever, he could still enjoy playing without her. He had just grown used to her presence more than he had realised.

He was just leaving the grass when it happened.

A Beater from each side had taken two bats each. His brain had locked on to the picutre, like an ant to sugar. Four bats, two Bludgers, movement, and far too much violence. They were driving the metal balls through the air and ricocheting them off players in a brutal game of pinball.

He should move. A small, distant part of his mind said it very clearly: go. Catch people if they fall. That was his only job. Keep them in the game. Keep them alive.

But his eyes will not leave the Bludgers.

The crunch of metal into flesh, the jolt when it finds bone, the way a ball tears away from one victim only to slam into another. Every clean impact draws a quiet, terrible yes out of him. It feels right in a way he has no words for. Like watching a perfect race line traced in violence.

He wants it.

He wants the weight of the bat in his hands. He wants to feel the moment of contact, the power running up his arms, to be the one who decides who stays in the sky and who falls.

The wanting swells so hard it feels like drowning.

Then the thought slices through it, sharp and ugly: What are you doing? This is not the time to stand here and enjoy it like some… like some monster. Not the time to be drifting off in these kinds of dreams.

He drags his gaze away from the Bludgers, forces his fingers to tighten on the broom instead of a bat, and kicks higher into the air.

Jake's time feeling like a Quidditch star was short-lived, and while he had found it surprisingly enjoyable to score (empty) goals, he knew he had a job to do, which luckily he could now resume since the other team's seeker had yet to find the Snitch. Finding the snitch, it turned out, was quite hard when there was general pandemonium surrounding you. The snitch was very small, and very quick, and to be frank, it was quite a lot better at flying around than Jake was. Jake tried to rise higher on his broom, which he hoped would give him more of a birds-eye view, but the higher he went the more nervous he felt, and that made things a bit counterproductive.

No, Jake failed to find the Snitch, or really even glimpse it. What he saw instead was much worse. His friend Julian, who had so confusingly passed so many balls to him, now had balls flying in his direction - and unfortunately this time it wasn't the quaffle. Jake cringed as his friend got pelted with the bludger. Even from such a distance, you could still hear the crack. Jake cringed even more when his friend plummeted to the ground. Jake would have thought he was desensitized to this sort of thing. He had been dueling for years. Somehow being pelted with magic spells seemed less disturbing than being pelted by death balls, and he tried his best to resist the urge to swoop down and see if Julian was ok. It wasn't an easy job...

The anticipatory bouncing of the boy's leg came to an abrupt holt as he watched different sets of students came hurtling down from the sky, if this was a cartoon they would probably be little balls of fire smashing against the green turf of the playing field. Fire had barely time to process before he was being called up, being pushed up and out, he quickly geared up, snapping the equipment into place. He could barely hear anything or anyone around him, it was all happening to fast for him to properly process what was happening. He stole a glimpse at the field, shards and splinters of brooms decorated the playing grounds, students being quickly tended to as they were pulled off.

This was his very first match, ever, he had gotten on a broom of course during flying classes, and there was no doubt he was good. Fire was very confident in his flying abilities as a whole, but this was nerve-wracking, his first ever game with no previous experience except for what he saw sidelining during different official school games. Cheering and jeering from the bench, at least this was just an unofficial game where they can play amongst peers of all ages and levels of playing. It felt less pressuring, or at least that was what he tried to convince himself as he grabbed his broom and headed to the field. He elevated into the sky, taking his position watching closely his teammates and the rivaling ones, he stuck close to Jake, who was the seeker and the player #24.

The game in the sky was tense. Rosaline fixed her gaze on them, observing all the action they had made and how it changed the game. The girl next to her replied politely. Taliesin, what a great name. She thought. Yet Rosaline was more and more nervous about the game; she could only give a polite reply, “It’s so nice to meet you. I agree with you. Our team lineup is very strong.”

The girl said her wise insight about the game to Rosaline. She nodded along and caught the key information that Taliesin had never played Quidditch before. “Wow, you look like you have played this a lot of times. I’ll never guess that,” Rosaline said with a slightly surprised expression. She really loved Taliesin’s confidence. She then shifted her focus back to the pitch.

At the same time, things weren’t going too well in the sky. Watching four of their teammates fall was a scary sight. The young girl gasped in disbelief. She spotted the opponent Seeker, a boy with black hair, and shouted at him, “We’ll find the snitch first!” It wasn’t really hurtful to anyone, yet this was Rosaline’s approach when it came to booing someone.

ooc: This is a semi-dramatic dying post, you are encouraged to carry on and pass this post.
It was around this time that the earlier jitters on both teams was now lost. Everyone was playing with intensity as the tension rose, eager to see how this game played out. For Sara, while he had to go through mental gymnastics and ethical dilemma's about the game, what never changed was his want to end it fast. Doing what he could He bowed shortly and quickly in haste when the young captain as she handed him her bat. Just aim, angle, hit. If the other beaters were doing their best, so should he. He just… severely underestimated the dance he'd find himself in. Every milisecond counted, where he didn't have room to think. Just move, move, and move again. Not even able to say his usual words of apology with his hits.

@Quentin Gagné
It was just a cross of destruction from both sides that Sara swore he forgot to breathe. And he was caught directly in the middle of it. Desperate, anxious and worry weren't the forefront of his mind. He recalled the last time he had made a move similar to this one years ago. Like a switch flicked, overwhelmed with the want to protect his team. It might've been spurred by the fall of his captain. Or knowing somewhere in his subconsious that if this wasn't done, someone else might be falling the same way his captain did. Like Ginyami. Just a brief picturing of that particular person in Oonaghs place might've done it. Eitherway, he had done it before he had even fully thought of it. Hitting the bludger with all his might, managing to send down, Gagné - one of the many beaters Sara had respected just from their skill level that made his heart race in anticipation, keeping him on his toes with moves they made. Sara didn't know the next time he'd be facing someone like this, so despite his muscles aching and sweat starting forming on his skin, he ricochet the bludger- hard. He hadn't still had much time to really think about what came after that, cause immediately after, there was still things to be done.

He ricochet the bludger once more, not taking another milisecond to waste before aiming for his intended aim from the beginning, just now finding it im himself to take a second to breathe. The adraneline from seconds ago still made his body feel hot, almost dizzying. But he realised another second later that the dizzying was from the source of someone else. Who was it again? God- everything felt like a blur - Sara couldn't think. Crazy from a recovering overthinker. Next thing he knew, he felt his grip slipping from his brom and having only the mental energy to watch a blurred vision of the sky. The usual loud sounds of quidditch playing that he had grown so used to was now fadding, like he was falling asleep. The sort of forced sleep that promised ached his bones and a throbbing head. Oh no.. he was careless. For once though, guilt over not being enough to stay in the game didn't overide him. Instead, he was thinking of a Japanese boy that Sara had grown so used to seeing after he wakes up. Even if it was not a harsh hug this time that knocked him out. He just hoped Ginyami wouldn't … be too angry. For…everyone's sake. Sara just thought to himself that it was just more motivation to wake up sooner and be there for him, regardless of the outcome of the game.

In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice at disadvantage (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself). Ricochet damage is 75% of the original hit.

In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

Note: For the rules lawyers out there: you are not considered your own ally.

In the role of Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.

Mamori's initial reaction to @Louca Dufort's "I used to be an untouchable starter" declaration was a mental eye-roll and an internal "Called it" about starter privilege. But watching Louca shrug and stamp his feet while staring at the sky with those utterly oblivious eyes just left Mamori feeling deeply resigned. Every instinct told him the bloke didn't even understand why Mamori was being a bitch, which made the whole exchange even more pointless than it already was.

A contemptuous snort was all the pink-haired badger could muster before deciding to focus is attention back to cheering for Sara, who promptly went full Nitōryū mode and took out three players in one spectacular sequence. One of those three was that redhead on save duty, and since the opposing team had brilliantly decided not to assign anyone else to saves, the beater who'd been sharing her broom naturally went down with her. Four players gone, just like that.

Favor swung their way steady and clear, only a couple on the other side stood any real chance now while their side still had options and numbers to spare. "Keep it up!!" Mamori called out to no one in particular. Being stuck on the sidelines wasn't quite so terrible when victory was looking this close.

The snake offered back an equally polite smile before her attention became fixated once more on the game itself. Bright eyes tracked the player flitting about through the air. She'd nearly missed that Rosaline had spoken again and was honestly a bit surprised by the statement.

"Really?" she asked, her eyes breaking away for only a moment to look at the other before coming back to the pitch, "Well, I'm glad that I don't look like I'm totally out of my depth then. Maybe that'll be an advantage for me." she laughed. Taliesin, herself, didn't consider herself to be the most confident person, especially when taking on something like this that was completely outside her skill set. However, nerves had yet to overshadow her excitement over the chance to actually try. The thought that she at least looked like she knew what she was doing was definitely a confidence boost she would accept.

Taliesin couldn't help the anxious bounce of her leg as she watched everything unfolding on the pitch. she gripped her broom tightly, holding her breath and watching as teammates fell from their brooms. This was the part of Quidditch she enjoyed the least. She made her heart feel like it was going to simply leap right out of her throat.

Her gaze followed her bench side teammate's to spot the opposing seeker, joining in with her displeasure with her own jeers and boos.

"The girl who carried her last name like a burden..."

Ginyami had always been a cheater. He had been raised to do whatever it took to win. So when Jake Morris not only seemed to not be looking for the snitch but seemed to be struggling just to stay on his broom, the seventh year admittedly started to get a little complacent despite the importance of his goal. He doubted the other team would be spotting the snitch anytime soon, much less grabbing it.

Able to spare his attention to focus it elsewhere, at least for a little while, the Japanese student noticed his classmate, Sara, pull off an incredible feat with the bludgers and his beater bat before getting knocked off his broom himself. Everything had happened so fast, it had been hard to see what, exactly, had transpired; only the result. Sara had taken down several opponents, but had also been taken down himself.

"SARA!!" Ginyami yelled, but he was too late and too far to try to catch him. His rage began to culminate into a new wave of resolve as he prepared to take his fury out on the nearest opposing team member. Before he could reach her, however, she, too, was knocked off her broom.

Well. That had been very unsatisfying. But he was determined to make the other team pay for what they had done to Sara before he was through.

- In the role of Seeker when you have found the snitch, if someone attempts to use Alley Oop to help you find the snitch, you will not have disadvantage. However, with this broom you do not gain the +1 chance to grab the snitch for rounds that the Alley Oop is used. To clarify, each round someone attempts to grab a snitch they get a +1 to the attempt and this stacks. There is no bonus (or stack from this round's attempt to grab) to grabbing the snitch.

- In the role of Seeker, if an opponent attempts to Bludger or Blatch you, there is a 20% chance that you veer out of the way the last second and another enemy player at RANDOM is targeted instead.

Note: The new target still gets their normal dodge attempt. This is not considered to be an auto-dodge, in fact this roll is done before any accuracy rolls are done.

- In the role of Seeker, when using the search action if you critically fail on your search you get a re-roll in an attempt to find the snitch. In an attempt to grab the snitch, if you critically fail on your attempt to grab the snitch you get to re-roll your attempt to grab the snitch.
