Ezekiel strolled into the library, excited purely for the vastness of the of the giant library. He grinned at the head librarian and looked at the huge shelves upon shelves of books. He tried to head farther into the area but was stopped quickly but the restricted section. Damn it... I wanna know what's back there... He thought to himself, knowing he would need to be there one day. He sighed and turned back, heading over to one of the taller shelves and reaching for the highest one he could reach. He was taller than his peers, standing at 5' 2". He reached up, straining for the gilded book just a shelf above him, he jumped and reached, still falling just short. He heard a bit of shouting from above him but didn't care to look up at the moment.

Ezekiel jumped the last time, finally grabbing the book he wanted to form the shelf. He smiled happily to himself, taking a few steps back, before tripping over a book pile just behind him, falling into the shelf opposite of where he was. A few books shook loose and fell down onto him. "Damn it..." He muttered to himself, clearing himself out from underneath them. "Why is there loose books on the ground anyways?"

Kludd scuttled along the shelves as best he could, trying desperately to keep up with Krez as she was hurrying along far ahead of him. He was very clearly not as versed in shelf climbing as her, but he was doing his darned best to catch up and stop her. He'd very politely asked her to not, but she was absolutely determined to see the books on the top shelves. When she'd climbed up, he'd of course had to go after her. Being a fool who'd forgotten his wand again, he couldn't just pull her down with his magic. So, there was only one option.

"Krez! You're gonna get in troublee!" He called after her, trying to speed up even more, but doing a miserable job of it. He kept almost loosing his hold on the shelves and having to be careful not to knock over too many books. He really didn't want to be in trouble with anyone. He didn't want Krez to get in trouble either, they were friends after all. Maybe not the best of friends just yet, but good enough that he was willing to climb around on the bookshelves going after her.

All the sudden, the shelf he was on started to shake, someone below had likely bumped into it. He quickly tried to get a better grip on the shelf, but just ended up loosing what grip he had instead. He scrambled for a moment, desperately trying not to fall, but couldn't right himself in time. He came tumbling towards the library floor, yelping loudly on the way down. But rather than colliding with the hard floor, he landed on some unfortunate soul that happened to be standing below him...

She was going to read those high up books one way or another and there was not a chance in Hogwarts she was going to be stopped, no matter who may be pleading with her on the shelves below! Now, she knew poor little Kludd meant well, and she appreciated his concern enough, but he didn't understand just how much the height of these accursed shelves infuriated her. She didn't really know the basic summoning spells or charms or whatever it was these other wizards used, at least not well.
She continued to climb, ignoring his warnings of imminent detention if she were to continue on.  She was making some distance, hurriedly scanning titles as she went by, kind of getting more interested in going higher than getting books. Her enthusiasm was piqued, and she was feeling extra energetic about this little escapade!
Up until...

She felt her shelf shake, ever so slightly, enough to grab her attention and pull her focus away from her goal. She heard Kludd falter and cry out as he very clearly fell off the shelf, and her direction quickly changed. Kreszentia glanced down to see if Kludd was hurt as she began to prep herself to climb down. She was very concerned for him, but she didn't plan on getting herself injured trying to go help him.

Lucette rested a few feet from the trio, enraptured in her own novel born from the clever inspiration of the fairytales, all stuck in a schooling atmosphere much like Hogwarts. She felt herself yearning to be a part of this school, learning and preparing to be her own character in a tale. It wasn't her fault that fictional characters held more integrity and importance than real life folks. Her introverted nature did not benefit her, however, considering her occupation as a prefect, stamped a "link between scholars and educators". She coveted for some time alone, and some time to just take it easy without having to stay up patrolling or having to turn on her facade of someone confident when lecturing disobedient pupils. Was complacency that troublesome to ask for? A shrill shriek rang through the library, heads collectively turning to a lanky male falling over, seemingly chasing after a student who was scaling the bookshelf. Instinctively, she smacked her forehead on the pages of her book, groaning softly to herself. It apparently was.

The young Slytherin prefect held her breath, praying that if she ignored the situation enough, she could melt right into the sofa chair and it would just handle itself. A chill then ran down her spine: she began to feel the stares of the nearby students, expecting their "assertive" prefect to do at least something about this disturbance. She cast a nervous glance at the person sitting at the Librarian desk, whose eyes were narrowed. She gulped, apprehensively lowering her novel, and sliding it onto the coffee table in front of the plum-colored sofa chair. *I'll be back for you... Don't you worry.* Lucette dusted off her robes, before striding over, easily slipping into her facade of a prefect. It was an outer shell, one she wore to appear authoritarian to avoid letting inner Lucette from going into a panic attack. She was nearly halfway to them when the scene continued to unfold before her unexpecting eyes

Ezekiel looked up at the worst possible time... Just in time to see a boy come crashing down from the bookshelves and landing on top of him. He did manage to break the boys fall through, with most of his own body. He groaned in pain, it wasn't that the boy was heavy, it was the sudden surprise of him crashing down. Ezekiel had no time to prepare or he could have maybe slipped out of the way before he landed down in his lap.

Ezekiel's usually calm demeanor faded away, something that was difficult to come by. At first, he tried to carefully remove the other's body from on top of his own, to no avail. That's when he heard the footsteps. Someone had heard or saw what had happened and was either going to help Ezekiel remove the boy's body, or to scold him for causing such a commotion and who knows what else. And so, he thrust the boy off of him, using whatever power was left in his small, eleven-year-old body, pushing Kludd, off of him and into a bookshelf. It looked much for violent than it truly was.

Ezekiel, struggled to his feet, only to collapse back down onto them. "Damn, I didn't think I'd forget how to walk from such a small hit." He laughed it off a bit, before placing his hands behind his back as he heard what was, in his ears, a murderous scream from the bookshelf.

Normally, Kludd would have gotten up really quickly and apologized, and would have tried to see if he was alright. But he'd fallen from pretty high up, and was really disoriented at the moment. He couldn't quite grasp the situation enough to apologize or say anything, just kinda groaning softly at the mild amount of pain he was  in. He was sure that he'd at least gained some bruises from the experience. He was a bit fragile after all.

He did make an attempt to get up off the poor kid under him. He barely could push his arms up, before he was suddenly thrust off the other kid. He yelped again, not quite as loudly this time, before crashing hard into the opposite bookshelf. His head banged against it really hard, making a pretty loud noise, knocking his glasses off as well.

He just laid there a moment, grabbing his head as it now was in a significant amount of pain. He curled up into a ball on the floor and hoped it would ease up soon enough.  Krez would probably come to help him in a movement, and whoever was walking towards them would hopefully help out the kid he'd landed on, at least before getting them all in trouble if it was a prefect or someone else in the position to yell at them for climbing the shelves.

Kreszentia barely got a chance to start her descent back to the floor when she witnessed a little exchange she did not like. In her eyes, the stranger beneath Kludd didn't appear patient enough to wait for him to get up and off of him. Impatient enough, in fact, to launch Kludd off and back into the bookshelf in a vicious and unnecessary manner. To make matters worse, she could have sworn he was laughing about it, too.
Oh no.
Oh no no no.
This would not stand, no, not in her line of sight it wouldn't. An actual, audible growl rose up in her throat, and she might've been seeing red. She hadn't heard anything the boy or Kludd or anyone had said at the moment, but it didn't matter. She already knew what she wanted to do next, and no one was up there to stop her.

Krez released her grip on the shelf and pushed away from the structure, positioned in a way that was less for landing and more aimed towards having her boot make contact with his chest. She may have screamed from both the drop and her sudden rage, she may not have. There was no way for her to remember. All her focus was drawn to the sweet feeling the impact. Boot met skin, and she thought she felt a little give in his ribs, but they didn't break. This only infuriated her further. How dare he not be as fragile as she had hoped. How dare he think he was sturdy enough to survive this. How DARE he be strong enough to try and concuss Kludd. Another growl escaped her, curling her lips back in a snarl like that of a dog's.
In the blink of an eye, her tiny fist came flying at speeds faster than she remembered they could go. The boy, of course, didn't just let this happen without trying to defend himself, but she was small and quick, so maybe it was just a little too hard to catch her. Though her gloves cushioned the impact a little, it wasn't enough to keep the audible crack of her knuckles meeting his forehead from ringing through the aisle. It was enough to make Krez happier, but she still wasn't done with him. In her mind, he still hadn't learned his lesson because he was fighting back, and she reared her arm back once more, readying her elbow to get her point across finally and brutally.

The world seemed to dull to a hum as the scene before Lucette's eyes unraveled in a direction she didn't envisage. The climbing boy didn't have time to react as the dark-haired boy- What was with Lucette and not knowing anyone's names? -let out a grunt and thrust the pressure off of him, unfortunately sending that weight to another bookshelf, a disgustingly loud bumf following. She cringed at witnessing the boy's clear groans of pain, felt her body hesitate to step forward, before instantly hating herself. Why was she hesitating? She didn't have time to think about it before a low, threatening snarl escaped a tiny pupil's larynx, the one who had been originally climbing. Like a wildcat locking onto their prey, the figure launched from the bookshelf, delivering a hard blow to the boy's chest, roaring all the way down with an almost animalistic rage. As if in an uncontrollable, violent stupor, the small girl sent a burst of fists, pummeling into the lad, and all Lucette could do was watch in sheer horror. This was not what she signed up for when she became a simple first-year prefect.

But the student needed her. This was her job. If she neglected her duties now, what could she ever do in the future? With uncharacteristic heroism on hanging her belt, she propelled herself forward, snarling loudly like a particular Head of House she knew. "Hey! Get off of him!"

Using her false courage and her instincts, she grabbed the wrists of the student, before feeling her inner Lucette regret it. What was with these freakishly powerful eleven-year-olds? Her determination and stubbornness refusing to back down, Lucette did all she could to keep another fist from landing on the boy, even if that meant receiving a few herself.

Ezekiel looked up just to see a small girl jump down from the bookshelf onto him, her boots coming down and hitting him square in the chest. He cried out in pain from that alone, hearing the soft crack of ribs breaking. Then she went onto his face. Her fists flying too quickly for him to be able to stop. He struggled underneath her, trying to get free and away from what could only be described as a demon. She continued pummeling his face, with no sign of slowing for what felt like hours. "Is this how I'm going to die..." He thought to himself. His face was bloodied, but the girl seemed to be slowing, he opened the one eye he could still open and saw her rearing up to elbow him.

Then from what seemed like nowhere, a girl appeared. He couldn't tell much more than that, all he truly knew is for now that demon child has stopped attacking him. But he couldn't even move at this point. The girl was still on top of him, and from how she had landed on him he was certain he had broken ribs. Everything from his waist up hurt, immense pain radiated from his body. At his point, Ezekiel would have enjoyed being unconscious, but his body forced him to suffer

An actual growl, followed by several more, even more concerning sounds, made Kludd jolt upright without thinking about it. It just made his head hurt more, and he had to be witness to the absolute horror unfolding just beside him.

He couldn't really see without his glasses, but it seemed like Krez had jumped down off the shelf, landing square on the poor kids ribs- which didn't seem good at all. He hoped they weren't broken or anything. Krez's fists flew at the kid so quickly Kludd couldn't even see them clearly at all, and the poor kid seemed absolutely helpless. He was doing his best to fight back, but there was really no stopping her at this point. Kludd would have helped but, he wasn't even sure he could make Krez quit. Not without getting something broken in the process anyway.

Luckily, he didn't have to do anything right away. Another girl came running over, yelling at Krez to quit and grabbing her, trying to restrain her. It was unlikely that just one person could hold her though. Kludd hurriedly felt around for his glasses, his head still spinning a bit from first being knocked into the shelf and then him moving too quickly. Once he found them, he put them back on, finding a crack in the lens. That could be fixed later though. He stumbled to his feet, making his way over and picking up Krez off the poor kid, and just holding her sort of like a child.
"Hey, its okay! I think he got the point..."
"Not that you really needed to do that anyway.."
