Today was Selinas 8 year old birthday. As a present her mother had prommised her a pet. She was absouletly thrilled. She had been begging for one for years, but her parents thought she wasnt responsible or mature enough to have one. But they finally agreed to give her one. The truth was also maybe they thought it was a good idea, to give her a friend since she didnt really have any human ones, and thought she was way too lonely. But she could worry about that later. Right now she had to focus on her desicion.

Selina and her mother was walking in Diagonalley on their way to Magical Menagerie.
Are u exited? Her mother asked. Selina nodded smiling. Ofc she was, this is what she had begging for since she was 5. They arrived at the doorstep of Magical Menagerie and entered. As soon as u came in u could see all sort of beasts. From owls, cats and bunnies to Spiders, lizards, snakes and some more. Selina gazed at the animals until her eyes reached the spiders along with the toads and snakes. She looked at them with disgust, those creatures had always made her skin crawl and still did. Anita Witticker. The owner. How can I help u today? A women in a floral dress greeted them with a warm smile. Selinas mother answered "My daughter would like a pet" She said with a smile pointing at Selina. Selina smiled back at Anita. "Ofc. What r u looking for dear?" Anita asked. Selina thought over it. Seeing as she hated spiders, toads and snakes, that leaves her Cats, Owls, Lizards and bunnys. Now that wasnt really a hard decision. Her choice was Owls. She was absouletley fascinated by the big black eyes, the pretty feathers and their ability to fly. She also preffered the night, making an owl the perfect pet for her. "An owl" she answered with a smile "Certainly" Anita responded and led me to a corner with all her owls. There were a big variety. "See anything u like?" Anita asked and Selina looked at all the cages. After looking for a moment, there was one owl that caught her eye. A brown owl. Medium sized so it wasnt too big. Its big black cute eyes looked at her and she knew she was the one. She pointed at the brown owl. "That one please" "What a wonderfull decision! Shes also been her quite some time, shell be happy to have an owner." Anita Smiled taking the cage down. Selina was confident in her decision as she looked at the owl and her mother payed. "Have u thought of a name sweetie?"They walked out of the shop. Selina looked at the owls brown feathers and one name popped up "Mocha" She said softly smiling at the owl now named Mocha. "Thats a good name" her mother responded. Selina had a big smile on her face carrying the cage. "I have a feeling me and u r gonna be good friends." Selina whispered looking Mocha in the eyes sweetly.

When they came home. Selina walked up to her room setting the cage down. She opened the cage and out flew Mocha. Mocha was ofc a bit hesitant at first, but eventually approached me. Selina smiled. She hadnt been this happy in a while. She spent the rest of day with Mocha. Earning her trust more and more. And ever since then they were both inseparable. Mocha was the first friend she ever had, her best friend in fact. Mocha was there when she cried bringing her sweets and just being there for her when no on else was. She couldnt imagine a life without her
