Gryffindor v Ravenclaw 1st Game Finished

As another few players went tumbling from their brooms, Adam tried to swallow back the lump of fear forming in his throat. He hadn't seen anyone else hit the ground quite as badly as Eris had, but it seemed to be only one Bludger away. Was he really going to be able to go up there and hit those things around if he needed to? It was easy enough to swing the bat, but he didn't want to hurt anyone. Not badly, anyways.

Maybe that's just what was necessary to win. His team certainly seemed to think so, as they were still playing full offensive. If nothing else, though, it was working for them -- there was Lavinia shooting the Quaffle through the hoop again, racking up another ten points. She was really killing it today. Cheering for their Chaser as she flew away from the goal posts, Adam tightened his grip around his broom and started to hope that Ravenclaw could win this thing without getting him into the air. He hadn't realized how ruthless it was up there.

ACTION: benched

The pain that followed and surged through Raine’s arm was excruciating. The grunt of pain she let out was louder in her own ears than it probably was out loud but the young girl managed to grit her teeth and get Arlis back to her broom. It hurt too much to move her arm, but she knew she had to make sure it was still functional in order for her to chase and grab the quaffle. She knew the plan and she knew she had to partner up with her team to do it. After getting their fallen Beater to her broom, she made her way back into position; readying herself to finish the damned match.

Neculai Lazar is simply not about that life, and deftly dodges!

Emma Hill has a present for Lamihugh. They're going to love it. Damage to be dealt: 1300/2 (half giants take half damage)=650.

Emma Hill has delivered a mighty blow, and reduced the Fused warrior to 350hp.

The Fusion known as Joruthie has Raine Sage in their sights, and unleashes a Bludger Backbeat attack with pinpoint accuracy! Damage to be dealt: 750.

The mighty Joruthie has proven their power, and blasted Raine right off her broom!

Seekers


Neculai Lazar is going for the Snitch!! He has an Alley Oop boost from Cecily Quinn!

Lamihugh is also going for the Snitch!!

Both Neculai AND Lamik have grabbed the Snitch!! Its a battle between the Seekers! Who's gonna get it?!

Neculai Lazar beats the Snitch out of Lamik's hands! Neculai now has full possession of the Golden Snitch!!!

Lamik is saved by Euphrasia Millie.

While before, the Ravenclaw Chasers, one in particular, were showing their skill in scoring goals, this time, they had something else in mind. Cecily grabbed Neculai, spun once, and threw him forward with huge velocity at the Snitch. Ruthie was still fused with Jorah, and the Quaffle was the last thing on her mind.
Lavinia, the Omega Chaser, abandoned her Quaffle duties as well, this time she flew full force at the Lamihugh fusion. She saw they were going after the Snitch. She was NOT about to have that.
Meanwhile, Griseldis Edelhardt grabbed the Quaffle with no difficulty at all, and flew to the goalposts, only to find them abandoned. Still, she was determined to at least make it look cool, and tossed the Quaffle into the air, performed a forward spin, and knocked it into the goalpost.

GOAL!!!! 10 Points to Gryffindor!!!"

This was Gryffindor's first goal of the match. Griseldis was no doubt happy with herself about this one.

The beaters weren't sitting on their hands either. Arlis bashed a bludger at Neculai, but he was able to see it in time and spun sideways, dodging the attack. He continued chasing the Snitch, streamlining his body to get as much speed as he could.
Emma Hill readied her arm, and prepared an incredible attack. Just short of going Super Saiyan, she let loose and smacked a bludger, sending it screaming for Lamik's head. Thankfully however, Hugh was also there for his teammate. He swerved the broom at the last moment, and took the hit for him. Lamik was sure he heard something break. Even as a half giant, a hit from Emma was nothing to take lightly.
Joruthie, on the other hand, were not focused on Seekers. Jorah was aiming to finish what he started. Ruthie gunned it, and Jorah smashed a bludger backwards in a Bludger Backbeat attack, and sent it straight for Raine Sage.
The poor girl never saw it coming. The bludger blasted her right off her broom, and she plummeted to the ground, impacting it anything but gently.
The medics were out almost before she landed, and carried her off.
Neculai hadn't been this focused in a while. His eyes never left the Snitch, to the point that he had to repeatedly remind himself to blink. He saw Lamihugh coming for it too. They were getting pretty close together, actually....

Both Seekers reached for the Snitch. GODS but it was trying hard to get away. Both Seekers pushed a little harder, and-

Both hands grabbed the Snitch!
Lamik and Neculai exchanged a look. On Lamiks was a fierce determination. He was not about to let this ball go.
Neculai however, saw what was coming, and smirked.

Lavinia slammed into Hugh, knocking both him and Lamik clear off of their broom.
Hugh dropped out of the sky like a lead weight, and this time the medics had to pry him out of a small crater he had made in the ground.

Neculai however, was confused. He was certain the snitch wasn't supposed to be this heavy...
He looked down, and there was Lamik. He was still holding onto the snitch. He meant what he had said in his head about not letting go.
Neculai scowled, and kicked at him repeatedly, and still Lamik wouldn't drop. It wasnt until Neculai pried Lamik's fingers off of his own that he finally dropped.

Once again, Lamik fell to the ground, but was again saved. This time by Euphrasia Millie.

An amplified whistle screeched through the stadium.

"Neculai Lazar has caught the Snitch!!! Ravenclaw Wins!!!!!"

The crowd (well roughly half of it, anyway) erupted into roaring cheers. The game was over, and the Ravens had won.
