Rose couldn't still believe how helpful Zephyr was to her. Of course they were friends so it was normal they helped each other but would have anyone done it this way? So willingly? Probably but it was perhaps rare to find a reliable person like Zephyr was and had been so far. But them being friends was also the reason she was worrying for him. Actually she was probably concerned for him as much as he might be concerned for her therefore it was all natural to Rose to still think about him first.
It was true she tended to think of others before herself and put them before her as well. This did not apply to her friends only but to mostly anyone she has met thus when it was her friends one could imagine how she would forget about herself. Was it a bad thing? Not really to Rose but others could perceive it differently such as Zephyr for instance.
Rose only shyly smiled at his remark not knowing what to say as she knew he was right. Yet he told her he would stop if he felt unwell which was all Rose wanted to hear. She gently smiled although Zephyr may have not seen it as her mind felt more at ease. Her heart beat slowed down to find a normal pace again. They were off to the castle as she was holding onto Zephyr tightly.
As they were leaving Rose looked at the frozen lake in front of her eyes while her head was resting on Zephyr's back. That's all she could do after all. While looking at the lake she saw herself ice skating. She couldn't remember where nor with who but she was happy and laughing. She didn't appear to be that young neither. How strange was it to have a memory without knowing where it came from. She slightly frowned trying to have a clearer thought about it as she raised her head a bit wondering. Sooner than expected the lake was no longer in sight and she only sighed before letting her head laying back.
"Do you know how to ice skating Zephyr?" Rose curiously asked.
It was probably asked a bit out of the blue from Zephyr's perspective but since it has been on her mind before they had left the lake she didn't realise it.
From being inert and especially not wearing her gloves Rose was starting to feel a bit cold as her hands intertwined to warm itself a bit. However she was letting herself lulling by Zephyr's steps and breathing leading her to suddenly feel sleepy. Her eyes slowly closed down totally entrusting herself to Zephyr as her arms loosened up a bit yet still holding. Her mind drifted away picturing again an ice skating scenery with a blurry unknown person Rose had known before.
“She looked towards the dark, starry sky wishing she could drown in its vastness, the way one drifts in the deep, endless ocean.”

Reducio OOC Notes: Ending this now. Thank you! Will link you to the next RP soon. Give me a couple of days as I am still catching up on my old threads. |
Out of the blue, she asked him about ice skating, which he didn't expect. “Kind of...I only learned the basics recently.” Maisie had been a great help to him and very patient too. Let's just say that his bum took a lot of hit that day and he felt sore the next day it was hard to focus in his classes the whole day. “I’m still trying to get used to it." Tilting his head to the side, he asked, "Why do you ask?" He was trying to remember if they ever talked about this in the past. "Do you know how to?"
The shift in the air reminded him how cold it was that day, he could feel Rose shifting awkwardly behind him, probably from the cold too. “Almost there..." It was the only reassurance he could give her as he continued walking, increasing his pace so they would reach the castle in no time. After a few more steps, he felt her weight changed. It was now slightly heavy, then her arms loosened a bit. She must have fallen asleep.
He slowed his pace without stopping, and adjusted his hold on her so she wouldn’t slip or fall, being careful not to wake her up. If she trusted him enough to sleep like this, he was not about to break that trust and just kept walking until the stone walls of the castle came into view. Once inside, he sighed gratefully, the air was warmer now. He headed straight for the hospital wing.
