Today had been a nightmare from start until… well, lunch. He was more than a little distracted and the simple task of sitting down and not talking became quite impossible. He was never a particularly good student, but exactly today everyone had seemed to be on his behind. Questions, tasks and the expectation to be exemplary. All of it was thrown at him and he felt more than a little embarrassed at the lack of performance he had shown. Transfiguration now had been the absolute worst of it. He got back an assignment he barely could remember doing and had no memory of handing in. To say that it did not go well would perhaps be an exaggeration, but not much of one. As soon as class ended he stormed out.

He felt like screaming. And throwing things. On the way down Hogwarts’ many staircases he thought better of the throwing. He usually preferred going outside where he could scream to his hearts content, but the rehearsal room had way better acoustics. So he found himself there without really being aware of the change of plan before he stood in the middle of the room.

Looking around he for a moment considered the satisfaction of smashing every instrument currently lined up. He smirked, but looked elsewhere. Where should he stand to get the best sound possible? He slowly began humming to himself as he moved about the room. Turned out the middle was just as good as anywhere. So he planted his feet there and drew his breath deep. When opening his mouth, instead of the screaming he longed to do only minutes earlier, he flopped down on his back with a laugh.

Lying there like this was surprisingly comfortable. Adjusting his head a bit to see the ceiling above he began drumming a fast steady beat on his stomach as he picked up the humming once again. Sadly his joyous moment did not last. As the door opened he paused his hand, lifted his head and with a sly grin yelled «Occupied!» With that said he laid back down and resumed.

Cordelia was in the transfiguration class which was just about to be over. She didn't quite like this class but she didn't dislike it either. She was iffy about it, Today she got her homework results along with all the other kids. As the Professor was passing the results out she noticed one particular boy, who seemed upset about the grade that he got, while he others didn't seem to mind, this boy looked like he was about to have an outburst but didn't. When the professor gave Cordelia her homework results, she looked down at the piece of parchment and sighed. She had gotten 68% on it.

When Cordelia looked back up she realized that everyone had gotten their results and were waiting to be dismissed from the class. Not even a minute later the professor dismissed everyone. Cordelia got up and someone rushed past her without noticing her. She didn't have time to look at him before he was already out of the classroom. She noticed he had left something on his table. A book of some sort. She goes and picks It up and walks out of the classroom.

As she walks around the castle she can't seem to find him. She was just about to give up, she heard a laugh coming from a room. As she opens the door, she hears someone say occupied. It sounds like a boys voice, so she thought it might be him. She walks into the room a little more and notices him laying down. "Um sorry to bother you, but is this yours" She asks him with a small friendly voice. Holding out her hand to show him the book. she waits for a reply.

When the intruder does not disappear but rather comes closer he sighs lift his head again. Looking her over, then looking at what she is holding out. It was unmistakably his. It was the same textbook everyone in class had. But it was rather easy to remember who this exact copy belonged to, with half the cover missing.

«Oh» He mumbles the word before remembering that he actually needs to confirm by words or action. So he nods slowly, heat rising in his cheeks. «Yeah, it’s mine. Thanks for returning it…» He hesitates for a moment before sitting up and reaching for the book. «I often forget my things when in a hurry, and that class was insufferable!» He drops dramatically to the ground once more before lifting his head with a quirky grin. «Over half the class was stumbling over each other to see who could get out of the door first!»

It was an exaggeration to be sure, but he still found the thought rather funny. Glancing quickly around the room he pats the floor next to him. «You want to join me? Haven’t yet decided wether I should scream or just keep playing with the acoustics» He shrugged a bit. Best he could manage while laying down at least. «If you want to join to help me decide?»
