A Knut for your thoughts?

"The Owlery perhaps... No- Willow may receive letters from her parents and look there first..." Mildred mumbled to herself, where should she go then? One of the classrooms? the Great Hall? did she even have a place to go too? She found it funny how such a simple game of Hide and seek can bring her back to her very first few months of Hogwarts- she felt lost and confused, like an outsider to her own house. There were moments where she still felt lost, was she still lost? Completely lost in her mind, Mildred looked up and saw that she'd ended up at the Great Lake she supposed that this would do, she would hide here.
She rarely visited the place, although she regrets it now as it was absolutely beautiful. Ever since Mildred was young she always found the sea fascinating, the mere thought of someone out at sea- with no rules, no one to control them, she wanted that however reality often stopped her. She remembered how utterly alone she felt often during the day when she first got here, she looked at her fellow peers finding their own groups of friends and once again- she was left behind. She sighed and picked up a nearby pebble and threw it out at the lake, she watched it bounced.
One Ross- her first-ever friend here at Hogwarts, during that time- she was often found at the library a place she considered a haven to her, she felt safe there. She met him in the Common room and felt connected to someone for once although soon afterward, he never contacted her again, although they reconnected recently during winter break. It was clear to her he had been doing just fine and maybe just maybe, he didn't want to be associated with her.
Two Teiki and Sola- two girls she had met at her very first errand. She remembered just how much she wanted to run- run far far away from the place, back into the library although in the end- she stayed. Who knows why though? she craved the approval of others, perhaps she didn't want to disappoint them although she's sure shes has done that now with her awful contribution to the errand they did together.
Three Willow- Her very own roommate, you would have to be blind to not see that Willow was liked and popular, very unlike herself. The girl was gifted at crafts and friendly to all, perhaps willow was upset being stuck with a roommate like her. Finally, she watched the pebble sink deep down and cause a ripple effect into the lake, she looked into the lake and at herself- just who was she?
Mildred remembered that she was supposed to be hiding although it was clear that she would be found anyways, she didn't care anymore though. perhaps, the next round she would do better at hiding, she looked around and found a nearby tree and sat down at the base of it. She didn't know when Willow would find her, for now, she would nap- she found herself drifting off and soon in a deep slumber.

Willow had searched through the castle high and low for her roommate that she thought she knew well in the places that she would hide, but she was absolutely nowhere to be found and she was her last person to find! This was her last place of search and she felt like it was highly unlikely that she would be here. If anything, she could spend some time by the water relaxing after a hard day of seeking.
She was ultimately surprised when she saw her roommate sleeping under a tree. It was rather dangerous to just sleep this far out from the castle, who knows who could come upon her. At least Jorah slept in the hospital wing. A small smile made it's way onto Willow's face as she looked at the peaceful Mildred sleeping under the tree. Since she was the last person found there was no harm in spending some quality time with her roommate.
She joined her under the tree, laying her head on Mildred's shoulder. She had quickly become close to Mildred in a Hufflepuff friendship she didn't see as likely to break anytime soon and she was grateful for that. Especially with all the boys Willow found herself creating friendships with, Mildred was one of her only close girl friends, and Mildred seemed to be even more of a ray of sunshine even compared to herself and she felt like together they could only bring joy. She felt a warmth in Mildred's presence that could only be matched by one other friend in her life.

A Knut for your thoughts?
"But I don't want to go..." She held her mother's hand as they both walked to school. The children were often mean to her at school, she didn't know why. She heard her mother sigh and puff of air came out of her mouth, she did the same thing and breathed out and saw a puff of air come out also, she found it funny. Her mother bent down and kissed her forehead,"Well, In life there are some things you just have and I mean have," She heard her mother repeat it again and said "have" louder, "to do and going to school is one of them." She didn't understand why she had to go but in the end, she didn't want to make her mother upset at her, so she agreed. Both her and her mother got up and she reached for her mother's hand again, and off they both went.
She could feel the tears well up in her eyes as she sat alone in the classroom, she looked at the other kids playing around and sat there wondering what she should do, she heard her teacher sigh and walk over to her. Her teacher was nice and smelled like flowers, she listened as her teacher mention how the kids over there needed another player. She shook her head and claimed how they didn't want to be near her, but her teacher mentioned she was going to tell her parents again and she didn't want that so she walked towards the group of kids and asked if they needed another player. "Miss said you... guys needed another player." she watched as the kids look at each other and whisper, "No YOU tell her!" and back and forth giggling, finally someone spoke up and told her, "We're not looking for another player right now." She knew that this was what they were going to say, "A-ah... alright, sorry to bother you." as she walked away, she heard one of the kids snicker and whisper, "not like we would play with you anyways."
Finally, lunchtime came around. She reached into her backpack and took out Chicken, her parents didn't know of course she often snuck in her stuffed animal with her and hid it inside her backpack. she sat down and smiled- someone who was on her side finally, although someone came up to her and took Chicken. "Playing with stuffed animals are we? what are you? a baby?" she stood up and reached for Chicken and felt like crying- he was her only source of comfort, she watched as the kid raise chicken higher and she jumped and tried to stand on her tiptoes but she couldn't reach him, "Give!" "him!" "back!!" soon after, they kid threw him to someone else and soon- almost everyone was throwing him, and she looked frantically for any way to reach him. When they stopped throwing him around said, "Give him back!" she watched in fear as the last person who had caught him pick up a milk carton and angled it so it would pour onto him. "WHAT NO-" she ran towards them, but the milk ended up soaking chicken and they threw the remaining amount at her- soaking her hair and a bit of her shirt. She took chicken and ran- she pushed through the doors leading her outside and ran away from her school.
She found herself on some random street and kicked some snow, she looked around for any place she recognized. She eventually found a sign that read, "Ben Alder Road" and "Truim View" huh? she didn't really the street she lived on... in her anger, she kicked the sign and winched at the pain. She could feel tears welling up again- she was cold, and drenched and Chicken was also frozen solid due to how it was so cold and he was wet, she ended up picking a random street and walked down it for a little bit. She knew that they didn't live far- she should really pay more attention, her and her mother would walk to school every morning.
She picked up chicken and could feel tears leak, she felt really bad for him. "Don't worry Chicken, I promise we'll end up home somehow!" she patted its head and walked some more, finally- she saw sight of her home. She walked closer and saw her parents were home, which was a rare sight- she hoped they didn't know she left. It seemed that someone left the door unlocked- which wasn't rare as mother and father often had visitors entering and leaving for deals. She walked in and looked in the kitchen for her parents, it seemed they weren't in there. Just where were they then? she walked up the staircase and decided she would just stay in her room when she heard a loud clash. she immediately walked quickly towards the sound and found herself in front of her parent's door. she listened in and heard them talk in hushed whispers, "not my fault... never wanted a daughter..." huh? she tried to listen closer and heard her mother speak this time, "daughter... responsibility." although it was much harder, did her parents not want her? she wasn't sure- she didn't want to get caught and walked quietly into her room. she looked at chicken and it made her think of all the wrong in the world, no one wanted her around them in school, who knows if her parents really wanted her and chicken was all messed up- she couldn't help but sob quietly into chicken.
Awakening suddenly, Mildred jumped in shock and moved her head forward and back- accidentally banging her head onto the tree. she rubbed the back of her head and winced, that would definitely leave a bruise she thought. Immedaility fear set into her and she wondered just where in the world was she? Did she get stolen? she started taking note in the smells and sound, the smell of the lake, the sounds of trees whistling. She realized that she was in the great lake but what for? She looked to the right of her and nearly banged her head onto the tree again, Willow? why is she here? she thought of any reasons and came to the conclusion- oh merlin, they both got stolen together!
Although it took Mildred a second to realize that she was free and not bounded in anything, she gently stood up and hoped that Willow didn't wake up, why was she asleep though? She stood up and stretched and wondered just what was that dream about? it was a long time ago and she hasn't thought of that day in a long time. It was strange she dreamt of it again. She rarely visited the Great Lake and pondered on why she was here... today's date... Willow... aha! she remembered that she was "supposed" to be hiding for hide and seek, she guessed that Willow must have found her and joined her when she fell asleep, eventually, Willow must have fallen asleep- at least that's what Mildred thought she wasn't sure.
She smiled at how peaceful Willow looked, and decided that she should go get some food. She took off her school housecoat and draped it over willow, she smiled- "Sleep well, Willow". First, she'd have to go get another coat and then hit the great hall for some food, it always cheered her up and that's what she needed right now.
