On the morning of Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Andrew receives a package while eating breakfast at the Great Hall. Inside the brown-wrapped box is a bundle of letters (most of them computer-typed on white bond paper) and festive cards written by family, relatives, and friends—including two of his best Muggle friends, Cody and Elmer—all wishing him a Happy 13th Birthday. Stuffed inside the box are several bags of storebought Muggle chocolates, as well as Stacy's homemade chocolate chip cookies, for Andrew to feast on and share with his schoolmates.

Welcome to the teenage years, little man. You've grown taller and wiser by the year. We may not be with you on your special day to celebrate, and we won't celebrate without you! We'll be hosting a late-birthday party for you at Aunt Cynthia's when you come back for Easter. The Hills are invited. Be sure to let Emma know.
Until then, enjoy your special day with friends. Eat some chocolate. But don't party too hard. You've still got those grades to keep up!

Happy birthday to you!! I hope this owl reaches you because technically, aren't I sending it to the same place..? I dunno, maybe it'll come tomorrow for the mail. If I don't see you by then, at least you'll get this. As you can tell, I'm not that big of a letter writer. Maybe I should start doing it more often.
Wait, where was I? Ohhh, happy birthdaayyy! Wow, you're thirteen now. You're getting old, time is just flying by so quickly, why won't it slow down?? Hopefully everything is going alright over there. Hopefully today's filled with chocolates, presents, gifts, and parties. Just think, one day you're going to be taller than me. But today's not the day, don't worry, you're still a shortie (:
Hey what did you want by the way? Besides chocolate... And don't worry about the price, I'll just ask my dad to by buy (English isn't working, sorry) it again. It really sucks to have a birthday on a weekday, are you going to be doing anything on the weekend or when you get home? That might be a while, but still.

March 3, 2020: Between a busy schedule of classes, Andrew finds time to scribble a reply to Emma.

Doing well. Nothing special planned today, but I got a bunch of letters and cards from home. Apparently my family is going to throw a late birthday party for me at my Aunt Cynthia's place during Easter break. Don't know if they already told your parents about it, but they said I'm supposed to tell you about it, so that would be cool, if you and your family could come.
Honestly, I can't think of anything except chocolate. Or anything edible. I'm bad at choosing presents! But I'll let you know if I think of anything else.
What about your birthday? Will you celebrate it early, during Easter? Or will you celebrate it at school?
—Parents sent me chocolates, plus Stacy's cookies. So, here ya go.

I wouldn't miss it, of course! Aunt Cynthia as in ranch and horses, right? Ooh, sounds interesting, I've never meant them before. What are they like? Do they know about the whole 'magical schooling in Scotland' thing? I'll be sure to tell everyone, maybe the message just hasn't arrived yet? Because I definitely haven't gotten any word on it.
My birthday?? I don't know, that's a whole month away, I'm still planning my escape and might just risk the detention to hide all day from my cousins. Maybe. To be honest, I really stopped celebrating it as soon as Hogwarts came around. Might just go out and get ice cream just because you get a free scoop if it's your birthday, and I mean, I could never pass that up.
If this paper has a bunch of stains on it, blame the chocolate. It might have started melting slightly... Was totally worth it though. Tell Stacy she's still an amazing baker, not even amazing, like way better. But anyway we're talking about you! What do you want for your present? You have a few days to tell me or I'm buying you a bucket filled with jelly beans, and not the good kind either.

Ugh, I wish I could go to Hogsmeade. I'd go out for ice cream with you, if I could! Next year, hopefully.
Yes, that Aunt Cynthia. Her farm is in Taunton, Somerset (about 3 hours' drive from my house in Romford). You and your family can stay at the farm for the sleepover too! (since it might be a long road trip for you and your parents to get there… Unless if you Apparate?) Will Abe and Kiyana come too? Because they can, if they want.
Yes, Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Thomas (her husband) know all about me being a wizard, all about Hogwarts and everything. Trust me, they would've figured it out eventually and known something fishy was up if I disappeared to Scotland and didn't tell them the truth about me and where I was. They can keep the secret, I promise! (PLEASE don't Obliviate them! I've heard stories!) But my cousins don't know anything about it at all, so please act normal in front of them.
Aunt Cynthia has 5 kids: Olivia (16 years old), Alex (14), Eric (12), David (9), and Sophia (7). They're very nice and friendly. As far as my cousins should know, you and your family are family friends that introduced me to the "special school" in Scotland, and that you and I are schoolmates.
FYI, my grandparents (from my dad's side) and my other uncle, Baylor, should also be at the party. They know about the wizarding thing too (again, trust me, they had to know), but they can keep the secret too. All in all, that's 9 people (including my family) that know the secret, but we won't be telling any more, promise! They're good at covering for me (and you), if anyone gets suspicious.
Will tell Stacy you love the cookies! And if I have any leftovers, I'll send you some more.
As for presents: Sure, surprise me. I'm sure I'll find a way to eat use it.
