Falling Book
She deflated a little but solemnity wasn't her favorite flavor. If the girl wanted to go, it didn't matter to her. "Oh, alright then. I have work to do too anyways...thanks for the heads up...no pun intended, I guess." Gienna chuckled and made a gesture of farewell before going back to her seat.
She was able to focus for the most part but for some reason unicorns kept popping up in her head. It was getting real annoying. She even found herself doodling deformed horses with dumb horns sticking out of their foreheads. Gienna had to scrap a whole sheet of notes because of the embarrassing unicorns.
"I must be bored out of my mind," she muttered to herself.
She was also hungry as anything. Luckily she had brought a little snack. Gienna couldn't remember if they were allowed to eat in the library but she didn't care either way, her stomach was calling. It was just one of the several packs of cookies that her mother had sent her. This time it was some foreign ones, Oreos, with the vanilla cookie part. She preferred the originals but she had grabbed them randomly out of her trunk.
While she chewed, making sure to turn away from the librarian's direction, she pondered over things, like her school life, her friendship, and things happening back home. It was hard not actually being there and hearing about things, both the bad and the good. And Gienna wasn't much of a letter writer, or a writer at all; she preferred experiencing everything in person, which explained why she was having trouble in history.
Gienna just hoped that she wouldn't get too lost in the chaos of school life and life in general, it would be very sad for a playful mind such as hers. That's why she was determined to keep high spirits and make the most of her years.
She smiled to herself and, after eating the last cookie, went back to her studying.

Falling Book
Adriel couldn't help but chuckle even if a pun wasn't intended "Good luck on the work it's driven me to madness." Adriel joked "If you get tired of looking it over you could come join me in some reading. If you want anyway, or just some conversation I've got a feeling I'll be here a while." Adriel sighed and looked down at her stuff hoping she would get the assignments done soon. Right now though she really needed a break. "I might come check up on you in a little bit just to make sure the books aren't just plotting against you." Adriel snickered. It was an absurd thought merely meant as a joke but a tiny part of her couldn't help but wonder. It's a magical castle after all maybe there was some scheming evil book. It would probably be locked up in the restricted section though.
Adriel gave Gienna a friendly wave before retreating to a comfortable chair not to far from the table. She set her stuff beside her on the ground then took a seat. "Alright book let's find out just how one can take care of a unicorn." Adriel said to herself then began flipping through the pages. After a bit of reading she was bored. It wasn't near as interesting as she thought it would be.

Imaginations are meant to run wild, just because you grow up doesn't mean you have to stop being creative.
