Healer Internship

Name: Eun-ji Lee Hunt
Year: 7th
Why does your character want to join the healer internship?: Eun-ji always had a talent for healing magic (healing sage) and was naturally drawn to it. Her mother is a healer at St. Mungo's and her father is a muggle surgeon. She had always admired both and gathered a lot of knowledge from them throughout her childhood. While her relationship with her mother is somewhat strained at the moment and she was not thinking of joining the intership, Eun-ji changed her mind when @Hanako Tone asked her to join. She could never say no to him. That, and the ever present need to use her healing abilities nudged her towards applying in the end.
Explain how one of the spells your character knows could be used in a medical setting?: The simplest example for the spell for Eun-ji, would be ferula. She had already used it many times, when things went awry at Hogwarts events and she was also a kind of a designated healer for the Ravenclaw duelling team when she was still part of it. She has yet to fail at casting it. This, together with the other healing abilities (even the non-magical ones), makes her a very useful helping hand to keep around.

Name: Hanako Tone

Why does your character want to join the healer internship?:

" I guarantee you, 99.9% chance that it benefits the wing more to have someone like me, on the team. I heal people's day automatically with this face. ...haha. joking. But hey if you smiled, then that healed you a little bit, didn't it?".

It may seem surprising to see Hanako take interest in healing. He had long years trying to avoid the wing even with fresh injuries from dueling, if he could help it. He was stubborn with people helping him and wasn't the most pleasant and easy patient to work with. But for a while now there's been a shift in change in Hanako's behavior. More interested in graduating as a more... morally good - person ... Hanako wants to get over his unease with helping people so obviously like this. And what better way than to be directly learning from someone who makes healing their job, working alongside others that had their own stories on why healing is important, this would aid him the best in his goals. Wasn't there this muggle thing called exposure theraphy? Yeah, that's exactly it. This is Hanako's exposure therapy, to be a kinder person without thinking it's going to kill him.

Explain how one of the spells your character knows could be used in a medical setting?: He had been slytherin duellist since he was 12. That was several years of losing duels, and pretending he didn't - because that's how they did it in Slytherin. He had always focused on dealing the most damage in the team with his focus on arcane power. However, the last few years he had been teamed up with juniors much younger than him. (@Mahlioz Evethisawe , @Ara Villa ) with more.... fragile strength in them to stay upright, against opponents a lot older than them. Before he realised it, he had been using reparifors a lot more often during duels. His training that was intended for doing damage, did well for healing as well. Damage and healing was still used with arcane. And most of the time, he helped his juniors be able to stand their ground on the duelling stage. Even if he rolled his eyes after doing so.

Name: Sabrina Lyons
Year: 2nd
Why does your character want to join the healer internship?:
As many of its students, Sabrina came to harm during her short stay at Hogwarts. The levels of severity varied from minor accidents like slipping on the stairs or cuting herself while preparing potion ingredients, to nearly getting killed by a vine-like monster on a school trip.
After experiencing the latter, she had decided that enough is enough. Careful as she might be, the universe was sure to eventually throw her, or someone she cared about, under another speeding bus. And if she wants to be of any help then, she ought to get some practice in damage control.
Explain how one of the spells your character knows could be used in a medical setting?:
Within Sabrina's magic repertoire is a pretty useful spell called the Reviving Spell. As it's name suggests, it can be used to revive an unconcious individual.

Name: Reyna Evergreen
Year: 4th
Why does your character want to join the healer internship?: Reyna was introduced to healing at a very young age, through her grandpa who taught her small things, like how to bandage a cut. She'd read healing books from a young age but never got the chance to have real experience in a real healing environment. Previously, she thought of healing as a side hobby. It was only when her grandpa passed away when she realized she really wanted to pursue healing as her career in the future. This was why she signed up for the healing internship hoping to get some real experience and learn more so she can be a great healer in the future.
Explain how one of the spells your character knows could be used in a medical setting?: Reyna could use the bandaging charm to bandage a cut, or a splint. She has used this spell a few times to heal on adventures and on a fellow student who was hurt.
