Landon was still confused, and he looked around baffled, when nothing really happened. It was like Zach and Landon had just overreacted, but it had been scary at the time. Landon was relieved, but still a little on edge. He put his wand away after a moment, looking at Zach. "Well... I feel silly now," he admitted sheepishly. "But I didn't know what else to do. I'm not really prepared for situations like that..." he added. Landon wasn't really made to fight or duel or things like that. He was better at being peaceful. But he admired Zach for being bold enough to jump into action.

Landon laughed softly as Zach said he should try dueling. "I don't know about that," he said with a smile. "I really love Quidditch, so I don't know if I'll ever get bored of it." Landon really loved the feeling of being in the air. There was only one other thing that Landon loved more than Quidditch, and that was history. But he was already known in the school as the kid who is obsessed with history, so that wouldn't really be a surprise to anyone.

Landon looked at Zach as he suggested they continue dancing. "Sure, as long as nothing else happens..." he said, glancing around nervously. He didn't want to be distracted by everything but he did feel a little nervous after everything that had happened. He moved toward the middle of the platform again and held out his hand to Zach. "Ready when you are."

𝓛eo couldn’t help but smile as he listened to her speak.He was glad they were kind of in the same boat as far as dancing goes and that she'd lead him. It was admittedly a little embarrassing for him to hear that but he still smiled and let out a soft chuckle as he took her hand. “Let’s go,” He said as he walked with her to the platform where the dancing was going on. After they had spent a majority of the evening sitting and eating, Leo was ready to walk around and dance too, maybe see who else was around to talk to also.

As he looked around he tried to see if he spotted anyone familiar and noted a few faces. He saw Cece and, even though he wasn’t sure she saw him, waved in her direction. Things seemed to be calm out here but for some reason it seemed like things were tense before they came out as he noticed other’s expressions. He would have to find out what they missed later. Right now all that was on his mind was the fact he was about to dance with Rosaline. The thought of dancing in general was nerve wracking enough leading up to today but dancing with her, even though they were just friends, was even more nerve wracking.

He took a deep breath, this was it. All the worrying he had been doing about tonight had really led up to this. Having dinner was the easy part of the night, dancing was going to be the real challenge for the young Ravenclaw. He could feel himself getting nervous as butterflies flittered in his stomach. Glancing at the girl beside him, he reached his hand out to her and managed a smile. “Shall we?” He said taking her hand and leading her out to the dance floor.

There were a lot of students off to the sides and also a lot of students gathered on the dance floor dancing. Even though he was the one to ask her to the ball, and led her over there, he was not sure what to do. Looking around, he watched other couples and groups of students dancing. Turning his attention back to Rosaline he kept hold of her hand for the moment. The music was not like at the events he had attended so he tried to just move to the music, keeping away from making direct eye contact for the time being as he felt a rush of embarrassment hit him. “There’s a lot of people here, more than in the dining area I think?” He said trying to break the awkward silence.

Only a few minutes had passed and the music had suddenly changed to a slower song and Leo noticed people partnered up dancing in pairs. It was only the two of them at the moment so he didn’t have to worry about having a dance partner but he noticed how close the couples were dancing to each other and how the song was more of a romantic type. The butterflies continued as he held her hand again and stepped a little closer. “Sorry, I did warn you I’m not very good so I will try not to step on your feet.” He playfully laughed as he gently swayed with the girl. A brief silence fell between them before he spoke again. “Are you having fun tonight so far?” He asked as he continued to avoid eye contact, hoping it would keep his nerves at bay.
