It was just another day for Valencia- go to class, go eat, go back to her dorm, study, and sleep. That was what made up most of her days now, with hardly anything to do, she just stuck to a schedule that wouldn't change- something safe. It was Valencia's first class of the day, Defence Against the Dark Arts, her favorite class, the one she excelled at the most. Lucky for Valencia, she always sat alone, "better for her anyway." She had always thought no one would interrupt her schedule that way, and no one would distract her from her goals.

"No distractions." she had always told herself. She was a Slytherin afterall, she had to keep her eyes forward and direct, no breaks, no interruptions. No one had ever dared to test whether her eyes would wander off their path or not, but Valencia didn't mind. Today was like every other day- wake up, do her hair and makeup, change, go to class, and follow her schedule. She did exactly this, following everything to a T.

After her breakfast that morning, she picked up her books and made her way to Defense Against the Dark Arts, passing chattering students left and right, never taking her eyes off their path. Unfortunately, doing this sometimes causes her to not be aware of her surroundings. As she was walking her usual path to class, she bumped into someone. "Watch it, or are you stupid?" she had sneered, irritated that someone had caused an interruption in her usual direction. Valencia paid little mind to the person she bumped into, continuing to her class with a new irritation that itched her the wrong way. Once she got to class, she took her usual seat near the window in the front, by herself as usual, even though the desk had two seats at it.

"People can be so inconsiderate." she scoffed to herself, thinking about the interaction in the hall earlier.

It was such a stressful day! I had about 100,000 things on my mind. Between homework and that essay due Friday, I was heading toward two Exceeds Expectations instead of two Outstandings. But right now, the only task was to get to DADA. I was running as fast as I could because 5 minutes early is on time. On time is late, and late....I don't even think about 5 mins late. I then bumped into a green and silver blurr with blonde hair, that someone was Valencia. I knew that because her bag was open and one of her books that had her name on it was peaking out. NOT stalker energy. I stopped. " OMG i'm so so so sorry!" I called out as the girl kept going. The girl did not even turn back. Perhaps she follows the same set of rules as i do. I thought. Then, all the thoughts came rushing at once. Slytherins are known for being vicious and manipulative. I've got this, I can get to class on time... I told myself hoping that manifestation would work. I took a deep breath and ran all the way to D.A.D.A because I already was late. Really late.

Sitting in my usual seat, still grumbling about the interaction with the Ravenclaw from earlier, I began to tap my foot impatiently as I waited for class to start. I began getting out my textbook and wand, already turning to the needed page that was written upon the board.I had never had anyone come and sit by me in this class. Afterall, I was the only Slytherin in the room, and who would want to get involved with a Slytherin, especially in a D.A.D.A class.

That's when I heard the large double doors open just as the professor began to stand to begin the lesson. Of course, all heads turned in that direction, and there she was- the Ravenclaw who ran into me earlier. I scoffed to myself and quickly turned back towards the front, the empty seat next to me practically screaming: "You need to be nicer."

As I burst through the open doors, ribbon askew, I scanned the room for a seat. I was sad to see this all the seats next to Olivia, Maya, and Sophia were already taken. The only open one was next to the Slytherin girl I ran into earlier. Even though they were vicious and known for holding grudges, I was going to apologize. I slid into the seat next to her. Now don’t think I WANTED to break the rules but I HAD to. ”Hi…” I started. Can you believe it? She SCOFFED at me. But I took a deep breath and continued. “I’m so so sorry that I bumped into you, it just I had a lot on my mind and….” I trailed off. I didn't know what to say. Also, any longer I might have been caught by the teacher. I decided to write a note. It's safe and it could explain almost everything.
Hi, i'm Tina. Sorry for bumping into you earlier. I just had a lot on my mind and wasn't paying attention. I folded it into perfectly equal squares and slid it across the table. All I had to do now I pay attention to the lecture and hope this girl forgives me.
