Julia smiled, feeling properly happy for the first time in days. Her Christmas holidays had gone really badly. With what her grandpa dying, her family arguing and possibly breaking apart, she just couldn't keep up. It had been almost 2 weeks now since she was back in school, and Julia wasn't sure what to feel, think, let alone do. Her usually lively, happy nature, had been replaced by a more reserved, subdued feeling. But now, hopefully, a little bit of the old happiness was coming in her life. Her friends hadn't noticed this, since when she was around them she tried to stay upbeat and more Julia-like, but when she was alone, the walls came tumbling down like paper, revealing the scared, insecure, sad, confused, and angry girl. Today, Julia had woken up early, and decided to go for a little walk in the grounds, maybe even ponder over things a little. It was cold, so she grabbed her favourite, black, denim jacket, and set out for the grounds, hoping, just hoping it would get her past some of life's relentless obstacles.

Julia breathed in the fresh morning air. The weather and view couldn't get any better. It was slightly cold and windy, but nothing a jacket couldn't help, the morning smell of dew and rain made its way to Julia's nose as she sighed. It was going to be a good day. She drank in the sight of her beautiful surroundings, to her east the sun was just rising over the forbidden forest, to her west, she could make out their beloved quidditch pitch, south, or rather right next to her, was the great lake, and towards north she could see the vast, misty mountains. It was amazing. Julia couldn't think of better place to be right now than Hogwarts. She started walking, planning on just moving around, exploring. As she walked, Julia saw a few other students too. A few by the lake, some, like her, just taking a stroll, and even a few practicing quidditch. She smiled and continued walking. Since she woke up, Julia had gotten a good feeling in her body, something that rarely happened nowadays. She had a feeling, something good was about to happen, but little did she know it would change her life...
