Hufflepuff v Ravenclaw 3rd Game Finished

Grace swiftly but her hair in a bun, dressed into her Quidditch robes, and grabbed her broom, she’s been waiting for this moment for days, weeks even, and it was finally happening. Grace smiled, she was excited, yet nervous, but she took a deep breath and walked onto the pitch, her short figure walking gracefully onto the sunny pitch, it was quite a nice day out, Grace stretched her arms out, and then put them down.
Grace walked to the bench, smiling bravely, this was the bravest she’s ever felt since she was about 3, she was excited and ready.

Cecily was delighted with herself-- after every game of barely getting a finger on the quaffle, she had finally managed to snatch it out of the air and race towards the hoops on the other end. She could see Ruthie out of the corner of her eye, keeping pace with her in the case she needed to pass, but Cecily could see a clear shot to the rings and took a chance. The Ravenclaw leaned over her broom, racing towards the other end of the pitch, eyes narrowed against the wind. In one fluid movement, as she was close enough to make out the details on the Hufflepuff Keeper's robes, Cecily straightened up, drew her arm back, and let lose the quaffle straight towards the rings.

Well, maybe a little too straight. Cecily groaned as the ball flew directly into the keeper's grasp. Dammit! But, huffing, the girl only gave herself a moment to wallow. She had a game to win-- this was but a minor setback. Although, as she swung her broom around to head back into the game, she noticed a few other minor setbacks as well: Serena was still barely hanging on to her broom, looking as determined as ever, and Jorah was precariously balanced on the back of Daniel's. So, things were not going as planned. That was okay, it was fine. They could bounce back-- there was still time. Cecily shook her head and refocused on the match.

River watched as the game begun, trying to keep her eyes on the quaffle to see who might be the first to catch it. And it was Cecily, she definitely seemed on top of her game today. River's excitement grew as she saw Cecily head for the hoops with the quaffle in hand, and as she went for the shot River almost rose from her seat. But it was a save from hufflepuffs keeper. Damn it, Cecily did well tough, she watched on, quite impressed by the actions made of all the players. She turned to look at Alan as he spoke, "Yeah", a quiet chuckle left her lips, "That's right, I remember. What a day that was", she added and shook her head as she remembered.
As her eyes scanned the pitch once more she noticed the match had definitely taken off. Bludgers zooming around, and students barely staying on their brooms. She couldn't help but wonder how many would end in the infirmary after this, if any.

The Hufflepuff visibly cringed when he saw Serena get hit, causing him to shoot up from the bench out of shock. "Damn -" Oops. A tingling sensation in his jaw caused him to rethink himself, slowly relaxing as he sat back down rather apologetically with his other teammates. But he was happy to see that Serena, Dawn, and the rest of the team were okay, things could've gotten worse.

"We got this." he spoke aloud, breathing a sigh of relief. The first session was always the rockiest, it was learning how the team played sometimes and also learning how they would fare. Regardless, the young man cleared his throat and waved his bat in the air rather furiously.

"Go badgers, go!" His voice had gotten remarkably louder than the year prior and had only grown in confidence with each game they won. He hoped to only go up from here. But what still didn't sit well was hearing Plott's voice, he wasn't familiar with the Headmaster and it was all too weird to not be told a single thing that Lear wouldn't be around. Perhaps he was sick, he didn't know.

To say it was hard sitting on the bench cheering on her team was one thing for sure... but being down the long pitch away from her teammates as she watched them all move into action while she waited by the hoops was almost as agonizing in some ways. Her eyes darted around each player and their action, intent on keeping watch of the Quaffle. Thankfully Ravenclaw had gained possession, though this didn't lessen her grip on her broom. She was ready.

Lark's brows furrowed as the action laid out before her, Bludgers ripping through the air after players as the Beater's bats against the ball cracked loudly. She only tensed for a moment as Jorah had been knocked from his broom, a sickening feeling boiled in the pit of her stomach at the thought of even her own body making direct contact with the ground below.

Letting out a steady breath Lark continued to keep her eyes peeled.

Quinn had missed but he knew it wasn't because his aim was poor. No he had managed to improve it quite a bit. Emma was just that good and he needed to be better. They were so close and they fought hard for this. It was time to show them all what Hufflepuffs were really made of.

Looking around as he flew around he very quickly took stock. "Damn!" He noticed what happened to Dawn and than brought his attention back to his own situation. Well whatever they were going to do. It was sure to be interesting he would go where he was needed.

They got this.

The roar of the stadium made goosebumps ripple up and down Atlas's arms as the first plays of the game were being made. Her fellow keeper Willow had successfully blocked a goal being made by the other team as Atlas shot up from the bench cheering loudly as she clapped to the point of her hands stinging.

Seeing Serena almost get knocked off her broom, had Atlas squeezing her fists as she watched thankful her fellow teammate remained on her broom as was uninjured. She knew this game was going to be intense but with it being so early in the game she didn't expect this much commotion. Luckily everyone on her team was safe and ready for whatever the next round brought.

Atlas sat back down on the bench eager to see the next plays take effect.

Serena groaned as one of the Ravenclaw chasers grabbed the Quaffle. Not a great start to the game. But her frown quickly turned upside down as Willow kept the ball from going in. "Woo-hoo! Go, Willow!" The first-year cheered for her friend and team-mate.

However, the victory was short-lived as two bludgers made their way towards two of her team-mates, Dawn and Serena. Her worry was slightly relieved when her name-twin managed to stay on her broom. But the same couldn't be said for Dawn. The girl tumbled down before being quickly saved by another chaser, Annie Morgan. Serena sighed. While she was glad that Dawn was alright, of course, Serena couldn't deny that she was a bit disappointed that she wasn't able to play quite yet.

But the game wasn't over yet. Although it might be ending soon. Serena noticed that Towers was focused on something. While the first-year couldn't see what it was, she hoped that it was something small and gold… Had the Snitch been spotted? Serena leaned on the edge of the bench, bouncing in anticipation of how the game would unfold.

Teiki returned the wave to Annie, a cheerful smile on her face. She really hoped that the Hufflepuffs were going to win the game. After all, they hadn't lost a game before... why start now? She leaned forward to watch the game, eyes scanning between the main action and the Seekers. After all, the seeker was the position she played. It would be good to watch how one really played that position. Not like some newbie First Year like herself.

She winced as players already began to fall. So soon? The young Hufflepuff could feel herself wince in unison with the bludger, striking yellow and blue figures alike. Unfortunately, there was nothing she could really do from the sideline except cheer and watch. Her eyes flew open as the Ravenclaws grabbed the quaffle, flying towards the keeper- only for it not to go in.

"Nice job, Willow!" She called out, before continuing to watch Serena. She couldn't really tell, but perhaps something had changed? Either way, another shout went out, "You got this, Serena!" With that, she took in a deep breath, to shout once more, "Go badgers!" A grin appeared on the girl's face, having never really felt this before. Perhaps she should've played more team sports as a (younger) child.

SMACK! Jorah sent a bludger barreling straight toward one of the Hufflepuff chasers. The small ball of death collided with the player and knocked her off her broom. She plummeted toward the ground before being saved by one of her fellow chasers. Damn, almost got her, Jorah thought to himself. He swung his broom around to intercept another bludger when he felt it. BAM! Under his left shoulder blade, a bludger smacked into his ribs. The force sent Jorah flipping over the right side of his broom. The green turf of the Quidditch pitch zoomed up toward him as he fell. Jorah braced for impact, but it never came. He opened his eyes to see himself on the back of @David Young's broom. "Woo! Thanks man! I owe you one."
