A Mad Tea Party

Ilie's eyes fluttered open, a throb of pain suddenly washed over his head. His vision was blurred, like oily water smudged on a window. He had this terrible headache taking over his whole head. His pupils were rapidly dilating, trying to adjust to this new, dimmer room. He could feel the dry blood on the skin of his face, probably from crying over whatever caused this awful headache.

Another throb of pain.

He groaned, his head falling to the side. With a few more blinks, his vision cleared. He didn't know where he was. He didn't even remember how he got here. He glanced around the hauntingly empty ballroom, trying just to remember what could have even led him here. After a few moments of thinking, it began to come back to him. These drab halls reminded him of someone he met. The strange, doll like girl he met in passing. She was nice, or so he thought. He remembered starting the walk back to his dorm and hearing light footsteps behind him. He remembered the pain of a heavy object coming into direct contact with his temple. At least now he knew where the pain came from.

Ilie reached up to feel the side of his head and check for any open wounds. He couldn't raise his arm. He looked down to see what he was struggling against. That was when he noticed the rope tying him to the chair he was seated in. If he could get any paler, he would. He was suddenly acutely aware of the situation he was in. He was kidnapped. He began to panic, his hands tensing defensively, as if he was a cat getting ready to strike. His lips curled into a snarl, fangs retracting from his gums along with a hissing sound emitting from his throat. He thrashed against the restraints, shaking the chair he was on and almost tipping it over.

After about a minute he realized all this was no use. He exhaled sharply and let his head hang low.

"Hello?" He called out, his words carrying a strong accent and wavering as he spoke. He got no response. He began to give up hope of even being found. Maybe he'd be found in the morning? Did anyone even check this room? What if he had to use the bathroom? A flood of questions raced through his head until he heard soft footsteps. The same footsteps he heard just before he was kidnapped. Ilie raised his head and saw her again. The doll like girl he had seen before. His current captor, @Hana Bakir

Eyes narrowed briefly, leaning forward from her hiding spot to observe the boy closely; he seemed disheveled, stressed at the current predicament he discovered himself in. Quickly returning to their natural widened state, black eyes hyperfocused on the sharp canines emerging from his gums. It seems he were a foe, most certainly not a friend. He were not a boy at all, but a creature—one that bared sharp fangs and mostly likely held an animalistic disposition. A creature that inhabited in manors similar to her own; that slept in coffins and took from the blood of the innocent. Hana lightly hummed to herself at such a discovery—a monster hidden amongst the student population. She would need to make haste, ridding the castle of this god forsaken creature before he could terrorize more of the population.

What would he do if she were to release him? He seemed to be one of the feral variety, unpredictable and bestial in nature. She pondered how possible would it be able to craft a stake on such short notice... The corners of her lips twitched at the sight of him writhing around in his seat, sharply exhaling through her nose; her heart thumped quickly in her chest, pupils enlarging at the sight of the young boy struggling in his assigned seating.

"Hello?"

A meek voice recaptured Hana's attention, reeling her back in before she lost herself in the labyrinth of her own thoughts. "You are not gravely injured, if that is a concern your kind posesses." Her monotonous voice rang from the shadows, choosing to continue examining her guest from afar, "Though, if you do choose to harm me or your fellow guests, drastic measures will need to be taken."

"Welcome," she greeted somberly, eyes blinking slowly as she stared down the younger Hufflepuff intently. The sound of black heels clicking against the polished tiles of the ballroom, reverberated throughout the desolate room, "Are you enjoying the festivities thus far? Our companions have begun to drink their tea without you—how rude of them, truly. As the host, I'm quite embarrassed at their lack of manners, they were surely be punished once we are finished here." A bony hand reaches outward, slowly gesturing to the sight before him: a small wooden table, decorated by a thin, lace linen Various stuffed animals sit at the small table, bodies propped up

She paused, heels clinking once more as she took but a step forward, "Though, I suppose this is not the type of tea you would prefer? I apologize, but I do not currently have any human blood in my possession. We have never needed to accommodate to that type of diet here."

Insincerely, Hana Bakir

'You are not gravely injured, if that is a concern your kind possesses' is what the girl said. Ilie squinted his eyes in the direction of her voice. On any closer inspection she would see that his eyes were pitch black now, since his pupils dilated to adjusted to the darkness of the room.

"My kind? What..?" Ilie was now no longer scared but confused. He had only recently learned he was a dhampir, he just didn't think everyone would be so aggressive about it. "Um, I mean I'm pretty sure I can still get injured. My mom always told me to stay away from the woods at night in case I get mauled, so." Ilie looked pensive yet stupid now. He just shrugged and sighed.

'Though, if you do choose to harm me or your fellow guests, drastic measures will need to be taken.' was the response he got. Ilie was taken aback. He would never harm anyone, especially never a classmate. He was a good kid, everyone knew this. Everyone besides this girl, he guessed.

"Hey! I'm not a threat." he said with a huff and a frown. He turned his head away dramatically. "I don't know who you heard that from, but they seem like a mean liar." he pouted. "Also, what do you mean drastic measures..." he spoke, processing Hana's words now. If he could go paler, he would've. "Oh... my god.... ARE YOU GOING TO KILL ME?" Ilie shrieked in horror and started shaking around. He managed to shake so much that his chair fell to the ground.

'Welcome,' the girl greeted him. Ilie just froze in his panic and calmed down. Maybe she wasn't going to kill him and he was overreacting. 'Are you enjoying the festivities thus far? Our companions have begun to drink their tea without you—how rude of them, truly. As the host, I'm quite embarrassed at their lack of manners, they were surely be punished once we are finished here.'

Ilie was now more confused. 'How would one punish a stuffed animal?' he thought. His brows furrowed, he was perplexed. She also noticed how skinny Hana herself was. He wondered if she ate ever. Then again, he was extremely pale and sickly, so maybe she just had a weird condition he didn't know about. He wasn't in a position to pry about that now.

'Though, I suppose this is not the type of tea you would prefer? I apologize, but I do not currently have any human blood in my possession. We have never needed to accommodate to that type of diet here.'

Ilie sighed and rolled his eyes, which was barely noticeable since his eyes looked pitch black.

"I don't drink people blood, uhh... whatever your name is." Ilie grumbled. If he could cross his arms he would. "I think drinking people blood is weird. It's not how I was raised." he said, looking at Hana, trying to see if she would believe him. "I drink animal blood sometimes, but I don't need it really. Tea is fine." he huffed and leaned his head back.
