Valencia Rosegold- Slytherin -First Year

Background

Valencia lives a humble home life with her mother, step-father, and step-sister. Prior to Hogwarts, she attended a large public school where she made many friends and excelled academically. Her step-sister on the other hand wasn't as academically gifted as Valencia, leading to the start of her jealousy. Since coming to Hogwarts, she has only just begun her first year and was sorted into Slytherin, upon finding out, she wrote to her mother about it, curious to what her mother had been, when her mother wrote back, Valencia was quite surprised about being sorted into slytherin upon finding out her mother was a Gryffindor. Even so, Valencia is determined to make this her best year, and to treasure the memories and adventures she partakes in.

First Instance of magic

Valencia first experienced magic at age 9 when she was at the zoo with her family. Unfortunately, it was a very busy day for the zoo, causing Valencia to be accidentally seperated from her family in a large crowd when walking by an empty enclosure. In the bustle, Valencia was knocked into the enclosure, causing her to plummet 40 feet, but to her surprise, when she landed, she landed softly and appeared with no injuries, marking her from that day forward, a witch.
