Dear Mr Darsel Cyrus,
thank you so much for your letter! It was a little out of the blue, but it was a really nice surprise. My name is Katherine, but my friends call me Kitty, so you don’t need to call me miss Townsend. I’m a Thunderbird too! It is the coolest house, so it’s right to remind you of Rainbow Dash. I’d say, think of how cool Rainbow Dash is, then quadruple that: that’s cool Thunderbird is, and that’s how cool you are now, too.

Happy late birthday! Did you get any gifts? 12 is a really good age to be, but I know having your birthday away from home is a little hard the first few years. I’m gonna be having my 18th birthday in like 2 months, so pretty soon.

I get what you mean about snooty people: it sucks ass it’s the worst. There’s a lot of people who act like normal people are weird and wizards aren’t. I don’t think any is that much weirder than the other, but I’ve been here for a while, so I might be used to it. My parents aren’t wizards either. They’re respectable people t They’re okay I don’t talk It’s nice to hear someone said I’m nice — I try my best to be. If you ever feel like everyone is way too weird, you can always hang out with me and my friends. They’re really nice and really cool too (even if they’re not all Thunderbirds).

I do try to be smart, and sports are really fun. I don’t know if there’s any basketball here, either, but that’s cause I only did ballet from No-Maj sports. I’ll ask around and let you know: there’s actually a lot of clubs that are kinda hard to find, cause they’re “unofficial”. But I’m sure there’s people who would love to play basketball with you even if there’s not a club for it already. Look at Quodpot, too: Thunderbird has a really good team, and you get to play on a broom.

It’s okay if you’re not the best at school; I wasn’t very good until I got a little older, so you’ve got time to figure out what you like. I like Charms the best, and Runes are really cool, but you only get to study those after your third year. If you have any subjects you want to get better in, you can always ask. The professors here are like actually nice, and if you don’t wanna talk to them, I can try and help. Also, it’s nice to make others happy, yeah, but I don’t think you should try and study for other people or for your parents’ sake — you should do it cause you like it. Also cause you can learn some really cool hexes spells later on, and you need to be good at magic to do them.

I think the best advice I can give you is just to go out and be involved in things. Talk to people (even if they suck) and go to clubs and try your best in classes. You won’t be able to find your own cool people if you’re too quiet for them to hear. There might be inter-school visits coming up, too, so I’d go to those: it’s where we get to go to other wizard schools around the world. I really like them, and you get to meet a lot of nice people. I think the next one to Scotland is, like, next month. You should see if you’d like that.

Dear Mi Kitty,

I will call you Kitty from now on! It's a cool name. I think the cat on your envelope matches, so I guess you probably have good fashion. Me too.

And, Rainbow Dash?!?!?!?! Don't get me started! Man, no one here knows anything about TV, and it sucks. But Thunderbirds being even cooler than Rainbow Dash is totally legit.

I got this stateonary from my dad. I was happy to get something from him! And my aunt bought me a neat set of shoes before I left for school, they have charms on the laces so I feel spesh special when I walk around in them. Maybe for Christmas she will buy me a pair that looks like cake with a bite taken out of it. I found them on the internet.

I'd really love to be your freind! And hang out with all of yours. And do sports!! It's super cool that you did ballet, I am no dancer even though my family made sure I could waltz just in case. And broom flying is scary, we tried it in class but I'm really tall so I always feel like I'm gonna fall off which isn't fun at all. I don't know how people fly around and chase balls! Scary.

So far I think magic is cool, so I like the magic classes. Not really the history one though because it's a lot of dates and I can't remember all of it and the class is really long. Astronomy would be cool if we did more spells. I hate am not so sure about flying. But Charms and Trasfigureash Transfiguration are cool! I like that you can turn things into other things. That was the coolest part of Cinderella. I'm gonna take your advice and do my best because it's cool! Maybe one day I can be somebody's fairy godmother. Godfather? Can you even be a fairy godfather, is that a thing?

We get to go to other countries!?!?! I've never been to Scotland. I went to England once with my mom but that was a really long time ago, and my aunt sometimes takes me to England or Ireland because she's Irish (her accent is cool!!) but never Scotland. Is it true that they wear kilts? And that things are green?

Well... what's your favourite wizard school? I'm sure you've been to all of them and seen all sorts of super neat things. I can't wait to explore the world and learn things.

Oh! And I almost forgot to ask! Do you have an animal you like? I thought maybe from your name you might like kitties, but I wasn't sure. I like ducks. :)
