Tatiana admits, yes, she was never quite part of the 'artistic' bunch — nor would she have loved to — whether she liked it or not; her interests, instead, lay on her writings — books, poems, slogans, and all the lot was where she was good at; but when asked to even draw a circle? She's absolutely hopeless.

When the news of some sort of arts competition or such to support Hogwarts had buzzed into her ears, she knew she would immediately back out — but the thrill of other students being excited about it perked up her ears, and so did, apparently, her attention. So the ever art-hating eleven-year-old was half-sulking her way into the Great Hall for the main reason that she was afraid of being "FOMO"; meaning "fear of missing out", some quirky slang she'd picked up in a muggle book.

And seeing countless students roaming around the Hall put her in unease, never had she thought that there ought to be so much of them; she'd imagined only there having to be a few dozen or so. Nevertheless, the stakes of embarrassment was seriously at its toll.

Wanting to leave as soon as possible, she hurriedly picked out a scroll and just ended up spawning her art items such as brushes and acrylics with her wand in fear of bumping into someone she might know whilst trying to retrieve her supplies and making one whole of a scene. That was definitely not what she was here for.

As expected, she managed to whip out a clean slogan in an instant; with the help of her surrounding students glares — or merely just her hallucinations — and the constant pressure of being caught dead with a brush on her hand, she had managed to write out 'Do not worry, Hogwarts calls for their victory', then one for each of the houses, “The lion roars” for Gryffindor; “The raven caws” for Ravenclaw; “The snake slithers” for Slytherin; and “The badger yelps” for her own house, Hufflepuff.

Ever the ambitious Tatiana, she seemed no help from the passing Ravenclaw (@Aly Salinger) who was oddly eager to help out those who had troubles — she decided that her ego and pride was way too high for the poor seventh-year to handle. Without as much of artistic talent as a badger, she managed to clumsily draw out four of the separate animals that made up Hogwarts, then wrote out each of the small pieces of text ought to be under them with caution; trying hard to perfect the way the ink had curled into the parchment.

Thinking she has definitely made an effort on the banner, she walked back to admire her work; then decided that it looked like an unexperienced toddler around the age of four could do a much better work than her. Deciding that she had definitely spited her self long enough, she stared at it for a pause before starting to clean up after her mess, and then somehow managed to sneak a few fairy cakes on her way back to the common room; leaving her undoubtedly decent-something work behind.

Zephyr heard from other students about the Olympic Games. He didn’t know everything about it, but he knew enough to understand that it was a big deal. Different schools from all over the world were going to gather in one place, compete in different sports, and represent the school they came from. He grew up in the muggle world so he’s familiar with how big the muggle Olympics usually is, and how different countries take pride in who they send and how well they do during the competition.

Knowing the wizarding world had its own version, with schools from all over the world competing, he knew it’s going to be an interesting event to participate in. It also tells him that magic also involves skill and teamwork. Even though he’s still a newbie, he was already proud of his school. At the same time, he was also curious how the events will be executed. He was wondering what magic versions of sports look like, how dangerous they are, and how much training the students must undergo. Or will it be a mix of magical and non magical sports?

Hogwarts will be participating and some students would be competing while others would be there to support. He wanted to go and participate but he didn’t know if he’s ready for this. For now, he would join this activity happening at the great hall to make banners and posters for the teams. After all, supporting them was just as important.

Entering the Great Hall, it was already filled with students. Materials were provided for them to utilise and some students were already painting huge letters. There was food at one end of the hall, and the smell of pasties and sweets could be smelled through the air. He chose a spot at the end of a table where there was more space and less crowded. He grabbed himself a large piece of parchment and dark blue and gold ink. He thought for a while before doing anything and once he came to a decision, he wrote:

Hogwarts strong, Hogwarts true,
Every step, we stand with you.
Do your best but don’t lose your way,
We are with you, win or stay.

Will that be enough?

He took advantage what he was better at. Drawing. He sketched a broom angled forward. Around it, he added small details like simple mountain shape in the background, and a few stars above. Then the sketch of Hogwarts castle. He was too focused on his task that he didn’t notice anyone around him.

Once finished, he looked at it and was satisfied at what he saw. He hoped the athletes would see it and know that someone believe in them.

The IMOG was an event that held a special place to Concetta. The exclusivity of it only happening every 4 years already made it an exciting occasion, but it also reminded her of home. Back home, her mother and father put a great deal of emphasis on physical activity, so naturally she had done a few sports throughout the years but never gotten to the level as some of the amazing athletes that would compete this year. Every cycle of games, her family kept up with the winning teams and cheered for their own favorites. A teacher at primary school had even told the class to watch them as extra credit once.

When she learned the news of Hogwarts making banners in support, she was immediately on board. Art was something she enjoyed, she just didn't have enough time recently to indulge in it. Day of, she made sure to clear her schedule and do her homework early so nothing could prevent her from assisting with the banner making. As she walked into the hall, there were already tons of people helping, and even more paints, inks, chalks, glitters, and quills lined up everywhere for the artistic qualities they could lend the students. There were also, of course, some people who came for the food, but she was lucky they were staying away from the wet paint!

Everyone was adding their own encouraging additions wherever they could fit them on the banner, so before she could be overlooked or spoken over, she set up camp in front of a blank section by where some year 6 Ravenclaws were huddled up together, surprisingly making a group project of the ordeal. Ideas flew through her mind about what to put on her section of the banner, but none of them seemed perfect. Some seemed stupid, others seemed immature, and with some year 6 students beside her, the last thing she wanted to look like was immature to them. After a few more seconds with her finger to her chin, a bulb lit up over her head: Keep it classic. "Love from Hufflepuff". It seemed a little cheesy or cliche, but cliches aren't made because they suck.

After sketching it out with a pencil, she got to painting with whites, yellows, and blacks, painting out the iconic badger with one of his paws up and a heart over it. It wasn't the most realistic looking badger, but it was the thought that counts, and so much thought was going into this drawing that it was starting to give her a headache!

After what felt like excruciating hours, she finished her section. The friendly badger lifted his paw in solidarity and care with a cartoony heart floating above, and in her best bold handwriting, above the picture it said: "Love from Hufflepuff! You can do it!" With a quill at the bottom, she signed her name and stepped back with a satisfied smile at her work. Hopefully when they see this at the games, they can feel the love she put into it.

While Cosima had no interest in participating in the International Magical Olympic Games, she had full intent to bring her sour attitude over to Koldovstoretz. Besides, her brother insisted that the two siblings go to cheer on their cousin, Aiko, who was quite talented on two blades, and would most likely bring victory to Mahoutokoro during the ice hockey event. When the witch had caught word of a school spirit event occurring downstairs, she had been in her dormitory catching up on her Charms homework that was months overdue. She figured that once an assignment was late, it didn't really matter how late, and quite honestly anything sounded more appealing than verbally reciting incantations.

As she entered the great hall, the girl felt a bit overwhelmed with the amount of students and supplies stuffed in the room. It was rare that this many students of different years and houses were together in the great hall besides meals, and since no one was seated in orderly rows, it occurred to Cosi just how large Hogwarts was. Many were grouped with their friends or siblings, working together on this project, so Cosima scanned the room for a familiar face she could chat with as she completed the task.

After doing a few laps around to kill time, she figured she should just bite the bullet and begin. Cosima found herself feeling quite thankful for her mother's endless knitting lessons as she arrived to the great hall and caught sight of two large needles. The pile of supplies felt endless, as she rummaged through for some thick yarn, eventually settling on the four Hogwarts colors of green, blue, red, and yellow. She began weaving the yarn between the two needles, producing granny squares in all four colors. As she created more squares, she would continue to arrange them into a checkered pattern.

Once there were enough squares, she realized she didn't have a sewing needle to sew them together. Cosima returned to the pile of supplies and like magic, found one at the bottom that was free to use. Using a silver thread, she weaved the squares together, with the end result being a thick, checkered multipurpose banner that could serve as a blanket or throw once IMOG was over. Since she had gotten in quite the groove, Cosima decided to take it a step further and sew some words into the blanket. She found some black, shiny fabric and cut out letters to spell, "A-C-C-I-O V-I-C-T-O-R-Y", and also found that someone had dropped a small brooch of the school's crest, which she pinned to the bottom left of the blanket.

Rosalyn wandered into the Great Hall, hoping to find a snack of some sort before heading to her dorm to complete some of her homework. She did not expect, however, to find the Great Hall looking like an art bomb exploded in there!

She looked around, seeing art supplies galore, and students all around decorating. She noticed Windy(Zephyr Deakin), her childhood friend, but didn't want to interrupt him as he looked quite locked in with what he was doing.

From all of the supplies and the students around her making posters, Rosalyn quickly gathered that this was for the International Magical Olympic Games taking place that year. She had been hearing bits and pieces about it, and was planning on attending, if only to get a break from the monotony of everyday life. She absolutely loved Hogwarts, but it was still good to get a break sometimes. That is why she loved the holidays so much, but she was back and already looking for the next thing to do!

She thought 'oh, why the heck not', and walked over to the banner. She managed to find an empty section among all of the gorgeous drawings made by other students, and set up shop right there. She grabbed out any art supplies she might need, mainly consisting of paintbrushes, some different colors of paint, and a bit of glitter that she had found who knows where. She pondered what to put on the banner, coming up with several ideas, but none of them seemed quite right.

After a minute or two, she figured out exactly what she wanted to put on the banner, and began working on it. Once that was finished, taking maybe fifteen minutes, she was quite proud of herself for it. She had never been all that artistic, so she was quite proud that her contribution to the banner wasn't a complete and utter flop.

What she had drawn was the words 'Best of luck!' made from green snakes, complete with eyes and tongues. She quite liked it, especially after she added a few silver stars around and in between the words. She dusted the paint with glitter as it was drying, so it would have a bit of shimmer to it, which she was quite proud of. She set down her paintbrushes, made sure that the things she had used were cleaned up, grabbed some food, and went on her merry way, happy to be supporting her house.

Alex was coming out of the classes and going to the Great Hall for his dinner. He saw rustling in the Great Hall, and his memory flashed back when his friends told him that there was an International Magical Olympic Games at Koldovstoretz. He looked around to find everyone making banners and slogans to support our beloved Hogwarts in it. Alex didn't realise the craze of this until now, when he saw multiple students making different things to support Hogwarts. He thought to himself, "Damn!! I never realised that it was to this extent."

Alex just for a split second before running down the Great Hall to find a place at any of the tables. Today, no table belonged to any particular house; it was just Hogwarts today. Alex wasn't great at drawing, but he wanted to support his school. Alex looked at the empty parchment in front of him and started to think about what he could write or draw. He didn't have any of the art supplies. He looked around and found coloured ink and some paint brushes. He quickly picked those up and started filling the banner with his own ideas. He wasn't very good at drawing, but he was decent and made fairly good drawing, but his handwriting was very beautiful, and he could do very beautiful calligraphy. He thought,"What can I do?? What can I do?? Maybe!!" He grabbed a brown inked quill and wrote "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" in calligraphy. Below, he added "WE ARE BORN WINNERS"

He also had an idea of a slogan in his mind. Maybe it was less like a slogan and more like a poem. It went something like

We are like fire
We are here not to admire
But, to win the trophy
And be the GLORY

Alex was particularly happy with this. He wrote it beside another such poem in the banner. Alex then grabbed a few art supplies from nearby and tried to add details, and decided to fill in colours. Alex had many moments in school when it felt like a home, and this was becoming one of them.

Alex was loving this time. His heart filled with pride for his school. His attachment to the school erupted during this moment. He both wanted to encourage the ones participating and also participate in the olympic but he was too young to do so. This activity made him realise that moments like these change strangers into a family and a school into a home.

The 2026 International Magical Olympic Games. The words had caused a swirl of thrill in the young Hufflepuff, and it had taken no more than a second for her imagination to fly awry. A huge stadium filled with the world's most talented quidditch players, flying effortlessly to the cheers of the crowd. And more excitingly, the best duelists in the nation sending spell after spell towards each other, with perfection she could only dream of. Muggle olympics were one thing, but anything with magic would be five times better. Then the best news had arrived. She would be able to attend the Olympics. Not watch them on the TV like she had back at home, but watch the events through her very own eyes. And then the odder news had come. The events weren’t magical events as she had expected, they were… normal. Curling, bobsledding, figure skating.

Such a surprising revelation had prompted an unsurprising reaction in the eager girl. Books from the library were sought out, questions were asked and pages in notebooks were filled. At first the research had been purely of interest, ensuring she would know what to pack in the freezing trip and knew the history of magical games but slowly her interest in the actual sports was widening. What if she… competed?

While she had no intention of admitting her newly founded goal, that certainly did not stop her from becoming as much of an expert as you can without ever actually doing the activity. Full immersion in her first ever magical Olympic Games was compulsory, and as such, the reason she had found herself at this very errand was explained.

Hosting a broad smile, Amelia wasted no time in setting off to the table where the supplies for creating the posters were to be made. Art was by no way Amelia’s strong suit, but ambition and dedication were. Her prompt start involved the careful coloring of the board in a light blue paint, which she ensured was perfectly even. Soon she was writing in immaculate and somewhat impressive, for her usual talent, bubble letters in a deep blue marker of the line, ‘Go Hogwarts!’ Thinking of some sort of ‘cheer’ proved to be the most difficult part. It took a couple of minutes and the addition of one of the sweet treats available, for her ideas to evolve. In a tiny cursive script around the outside of her board she wrote her attempt at poetry, small enough that it wouldn’t be visible from a distance.

Hogwarts brave and Hogwarts smart,
Watch as the crowds do part,
To see our talent and our wins,
As our victory goes through spins.

It was hardly the best thing she had written, however it was somewhat satisfying to see the words on her almost completed banner. Just a splatter of blue and silver glitter over her page was to be added. And then… she found herself the proud designer of her very own olympic banner. Not quite the sophisticated look she had envisaged, but acceptable non-the-less.

With a distrustful eye on her freshly coated glitter hands, she attempted to remove any excess materials that were clinging desperately to her. One thing about art that she loathed was the way somehow getting messy seemed to always be the case, at least for her anyhow. Turning around, a tiny piece of pride merged with excitement at the prospect of her first ever magical Olympic Games.

Ars longa, vita brevis. (Art is long, life is short)

Crystal first heard about the support event by accident when she was heading back to her the Gryffindor dormitories. Something about Koldovstoretz, and banners traveling with the athletes all the way to Siberia. Crystal's steps faltered a bit as the words settled in. Support. Sort of like being there for your school mates if you weren’t competing...

Her fingers brushed her wrist...A thoughtful habit. She hadn't planned on attending anything that evening. Wanting to retreat to the common comfort of her dorm and Kora. But the idea of losing a chance to show how much she loves Hogwarts which had grown to become her second home kept tugging at her. Quite insistently.

So she went. Crystal slipped into the Great Hall quietly. Crystal picked a piece of parchment and smoothened it with both palms. At first, she simply stared at it blankly. Then, slowly, an image formed in her mind.

She began with the background painting deep greys and muted blues into the canvas. She painted the mountains and hills that covered the castle on both side. On the right, the familiar outline of Hogwarts Castle took shape. She spent a while on getting the details of the edges and towers just right.

Only then did she add the words. The letters appeared clean and bright against the storm-dark sky:

From stone to star,
We know who we are!
Brains, bravery, heart, and wit,
Hogwarts power, we won’t quit!

Then a bit lower, in bold and big letters, she added: GO HOGWARTS!!!

After a few finishing touches, Crystal sat back and looked at her banner. Her fingers moved slowly and carefully along the fabric as she traced the banner's edge once more. Crystal stopped and looked at her work. The banner was flat on the table, its colors steady and rich under the lantern's gentle light. Each stitch conveyed a narrative. Each line had significance. She grabbed the pen next to her and neatly signed her name in the corner. She didn't want to be praised or acknowledged. The name was merely a pledge, a subtle way of expressing that she had been there and that she was concerned enough to leave a piece of herself behind.

She stood motionless for a moment, taking in the room's silence and the soft crackle of the flame. Doubt had followed her for hours during the long day. She had been concerned that the banner would not adequately convey her feelings. But the banner came out better than she expected it to. With a soft yet clearly satisfied sigh, She then moved away from the table and headed back to her dorm.

Banner made by me
As soon as Emiline heard about the new artistic errand she knew she would have to try her style on it. She ran to her dorm to grab her pens and paper even though she knew the errand would probably supply most of the equipment any artist could want. She ran to the great hall and grinned when she saw all the different types of posters and markers.

She weaved in between the other hard at work students to find a spare table space. The brunette thought, which size would be the easiest seen in a huge crowd, the biggest poster, obviously. So she grabbed one and split it into quarters, one for each of the houses. She moves towards the red colored items. For her poster idea she would need reds, greens, yellows and blues. One quarter for each Hogwarts house.

She grabbed some light red, maroon and deep crimson and took them back to her table space. The top left would be Gryffindor's quarter. When she first thought of Gryffindor; she thought of quidditch, courage and red scarves. So she started painting them. She started with the quidditch brooms with the red bristles of the broom and the sleek brush strokes of the wood. Once she was satisfied with the brooms she moved onto the red books, then the scarves, then the glowing roses. She did this by alternating the shades of red for the petals and adding white into it, then with her finger she rubbed the red and white together to blend giving the glowing effect.

Once she finished that quarter she put the red colours back on the table of equipment and took dark greens, neon green and silver and blacks. Now to work on the Slytherin quarter She thought. When she thought of Slytherin, she thought of snakes, lightning and nature so that's what she painted. In the top left corner of this quarter she grabbed a dark green paint and dipped her finger into it, giving a rough texture as she applied it to the poster. To the right of the snake she added a pre-cut photo of the Hogwarts Castle as she was skilled but not that skilled to paint the photo of the Castle, that is too detailed to do by hand. After that, she drew green books on parchment as it gave a rustic feel. Finished that.

She picked up these paints and swapped them for bright yellows and oranges for the hufflepuff corner. As she was a puff herself, she knew exactly the theme she was going for Sunshine and sunflowers and that was the vibe she got from the yellow in Hufflepuff. She first started with lemon slices below the Gryffindor glowing flowers, the rind on the lemon had to be darker than the core or it just wouldn't look right. Emiline spent a bit of time perfecting her lemon slices but she soon became confident in how it looked.

She paused her painting to roll her shoulders and neck after being hunched over the poster for a while. She decided she needed a sharpie so strolled to get one. The short walk to the table and back was great and gave her an idea. She sat back down and wrote below the lemons 'A HUFFLEPUFF WAS HERE' as it gave the look of being handmade and just looked right, she quickly moved on to the sunflowers and then the sun in the top right corner of the designated quarter. Before she knew it, she was done with the Hufflepuff corner and dropped the yellow paints off and swapped them with blue-hued ones instead.

She knew Ravenclaw was associated with wit and intellect, but she didn't want that to be the only thing brought forward in her poster. So she decided to do a stary forest image as that seemed like it had Ravenclaw vibes. It was difficult to get the thin trees in the blue stary sky but Emiline was determined to get it complete and she did. Just as she was about to hand it in, she spilt some white paint on the corner of her poster. "Nooo- You're kidding me!" She groaned, over an hour's work ruined by a simple clumsiness. She stared at the white splatter in disbelief. How can I fix this? This is so annoying She thought. Grabbing a sponge, she started to try and blend it out. As she was blending it out, she realised it looked a bit like snow. So she added more white paint around the edges and gave the poster a frosted effect. Perfect for the Koldovstoretz Conservatory in wintry Russia.

However, Emiline thought it was still missing something. Still holding her white paintbrush she wrote 'GOOOO HOGWARTS!!!' Central of course. Finished. Or was she? As she walked past the table full of items to use, she saw an image of the school logo and decided that needed to be front and center of her poster and stuck it down.

Perfect.

Max entered the Great hall and stopped dead in his tracks. He wasn’t usually very creative. At least not when it came to skills used when making a sign for cheering on schoolmates. He didn’t know beforehand what exactly he should expect. The only thing he knew was that it was a good idea to make something to show off his school spirit. The art supplies, to which there were plenty, were not the thing that caught his attention now. There were snacks here! Had he known this he would have made his way down way sooner. Happy with the turn of events he made his way over to the table and perused the varying treats. Grabbing a few here and there, he finally found a seat by an empty poster.

But what to create? Go Hogwarts, go! would certainly be fun, but seemed a bit dull in his own opinion. Especially considering the magnificent artwork that were being created all around him. Hurray for Hogwarts didn’t seem much better. But maybe he was starting in the wrong end? He never really had a way with words the way some others did. No, the background was the best place to start. Finishing his first treat he dragged a hand thoughtfully across his mouth before nodding to himself. He had to incorporate the colors of all four houses in some way, but filling the background with then could be a bit much, not to mention difficult to read. No, the common school color of black was best. Leaving his station behind for the moment he headed to the art supplies to find the four paint colors he would need.Looking over people’s shoulder he could see that artistic talent was not exactly lacking in the room.

Well supplied with paint, brushes and what ever else he might need Max returned to his work station. If only he was a little more adapt at charms, he could pour the paint over the canvas and somehow manipulate it as he wanted. Well, he would get there soon enough. And the repetitive motion of painting wasn’t so bad. Taking the largest brush, dipping it into the black paint and then smeared it across the canvas. The paint was a good consistency and covered the white well. With the canvas now completely black, Max switched to a smaller and more precise brush. Sitting there with the brush in hand and a canvas ready to write on he hesitated. What was he supposed to write? Something to support all four houses for sure. Something he himself could show off would be fun too, but in the case he didn’t join as part of the cheer squad there were doubtful anyone else wanted to wave a sign stating Take it to the Max! With someone not named Max like himself, that could seem rather stupid, and he never wanted to embarrass anyone. As he was thinking, a grin slowly spread across his face. It was perfect. A bit goofy, but usable by anyone. Dipping his brush in the next paint he carefully started writing.

Finally sitting back he admired his work. It was a bit wonky for sure, but he found he didn’t mind. Clearing up his station and at least a bit of the mess he made, he stood up. With shades of all four colors on his hands, a bit in his face and not a small amount in his hair there were no doubts he needed a bath. Taking his poster to set it among the rest to be transported to Russia in under a month, he stepped back to admire his work. The sign he had worked so hard on now read Go Hogwarts! Go Wild, take it to the Max! in all four house colors. It did turn out more personal than he intended, but then he was sure he would love the nature in Russia.
