Alexx's eyes narrowed as she got called for a penalty lap. Maybe it would be worth arguing with the commentator about it, and she briefly considered it as she made her way to the edge of the field. It's safe like this, when you can eliminate threats and protect your teammates. Everyone knows that people have it out for Slytherin, Alexx was simply striking before giving them a chance to. She had one thing on her mind: winning. If winning meant taking people out along the way, so be it. Later, she decided, she would argue the point of making blatching a perfectly legal move for Chasers. Hell, it couldn't be as bad as getting hit with a bludger. Alexx didn't weigh that much, surely someone could take a blatch from her with ease (granted, it would send them tumbling down and hurt just a little bit, but still).

So Alexx made her way to the edge of the pitch, along with Koko, and tried to get through this penalty lap as fast as possible. She was itching to get back out there. Ruby, in her big debut, scored a goal, and Alexx couldn't help but feel both proud and jealous simultaneously. While Alexx had plenty of blatches on the season and was probably the scariest Chaser in all of Hogwarts (Erin definitely reserved the right to scariest player all around), she still didn't have any goals on season, and her palm was itching for one.

So much had just transpired within the first few minutes of the game. Granted, Piérre was used to the speed in which a game could start and then proceed to wrap up, but this had been, by far, the most chaotic first round he had ever seen in his life.

Erin Ryan, the Slytherin Beater that Rafa has been worried about from the start, had fallen like a rock after having caused one of their own members to plummet alongside her. That was their top enemy down, even if she was a lovely creature at that. Dan Palmer, the Seeker, had also fallen, but had been swiftly rescued. Piérre sucked in a deep lungful of air as he watched his upperclassman role model Keeper, Hugh, get hit squarely with one of the bludgers. No doubt he had been shaken up from two he encounter, which led to the leather quaffle neatly passing through one of the rings nearby. Piérre bit his lip as he groaned inwardly. He knew that the part-giant was just warming up, and the way he had just absorbed the hit was impossible. The kid was as tough as he looked.

Koko Riddle seemed to be making a lazy debut, idly flying around, but Piérre had a feeling that she was up to something. That suspicion was confirmed when the beautiful snake caught Dan the seeker. Clever.

The game was just beginning.

The moment the balls were released, everything happened fast. Almost too fast. But this time, Bridget was ready for it.

Spotting the nearest bludger, Bridget swung her bat, sending it flying towards her target. It hit the large boy square-on and had to of hurt, but he didn't fall. She'd expected that, though. The Gryffindor Keeper, being so big, was predictably quite durable, and she wasn't all that strong.

While she'd been doing that, everything around her turned to chaos. Glancing down, she spotted three bodies on the ground, including Erin. Sure, Bridget might've been scared of the purple-haired third year, but she was an outstanding Beater and losing her wasn't good. Plus, it meant Bridget was the senior Beater at the moment. Roman would be coming in, and he hadn't played a game yet.

She allowed herself no more than a second to dwell on those fallen players and didn't waste any time feeling sympathy. She still needed to have her head in the game. Alexx, Koko, and Dan were on penalty laps, leaving just four of them. It was time for Bridget to step up to the task at hand and beat the Gryffindors.

Aaaand he missed. Another chaser got past the length of his arm. If it were just the snakes, he'd call them slippery. Sadly many a bird or badger had managed to get past him as well. With gritted teeth, the part giant returned to his position. Was he just too slow? He was starting to get rather big to be sitting on a broom after all. Keeping balance was still manageable but there'd be a point where he'd have to figure something out.

There was one moment of joy for the part giant. Seeing Erin tumble down the air and knocked out of the game gave him some sense of safety again. He knew she and him were yet to meet their final confrontation. Sadly Bunbuns was out too, with gritted teeth he'd make his way back to the loops. He'd tug on his armor to adjust it a little for the next attack. Focus, focus... Scratching the hair on his jaw, he kept reading the field longer and longer whilst he saw several snakes moving out to take their penalty laps. Slippery buggers... Back now straight, he was ready for the next opportunity to prove himself to rise.

And they're off. Right beside Ruby, Nico would try to fetch the Quaffle but her Prefect colleague was quicker. Nico didn't speak up. She'd only lock eyes with Ruby as to tell her 'Go for it.'. As she swayed to the left, the dhampir went to the opposite side, making sure she stayed out of any harm - or out of Ruby's way to score.

And Ruby did. She managed to fling the Quaffle passed- Oh...OH WHAT. Oh right. Hugh is in the Gryffindor team. How could she forget? He was the one who introduced her to Quidditch after all. Everytime. Every single time she saw him, he got taller and broader. Half-Giants... Impressive people.

Her attention was pulled by the sound of several bodies hitting the floor. Crap! Erin! In the last few games, the dhampir had managed to save the strong Beater from certain doom. Nico still wasn't sure how she felt about the purple haired slytherin. She was strange. Unpredictable.

Well, atleast they scored... Hopefully no more Slytherins had to meet the floor face first. Back in her head, she couldn't help but feel bad for the players of Gryffindor aswell. That excuse for a grassy field was a long way down...

The game started and Ruby went straight for the Quaffle. Her main role as Chaser was to attempt to score, was it not? Perhaps it was her excitement that propelled her, but she managed to reach it before any other Chaser—catching an encouraging glance from Nico on her way. She snatched it up and whizzed through the air, shooting it neatly through the hoops. She felt a little bad for the Gryffindor Keeper. Being Keeper was a hard job with a lot of responsibility. However, her loyalty was to her team and a smile formed on her face. She heard her friend Koko cheering for her and she felt a flash of pride. Her first game as first string and she opened up the game with a score!

She glanced around to see what else had happened, and it wasn't looking too good. Several Slytherin players were taking penalty laps and some students had fallen. Ruby saw a flash of purple hair down below and grimaces. She did not like Erin, especially not after their conflict where the older girl had accused Ruby of somehow being evil just for being a prefect, but she had to admit that she was a brilliant Beater. What would they do without her?

Everything was very new to AJ but he certainly hadn't expected just how quickly Slytherin would begin cheating. This wasn't just his Dad cheating at Monopoly when he was in a rough spot. This was another team immediately defaulting to physically injuring other players just because...well just because they could it seemed. Bludgers were one thing, an entertaining smidgen of barbarism to excite the thirsting crowds, but as some of the players began ramming into his teammates, it really disgusted him.

He didn't have time to dwell on his distaste however, his teammates needed him. He started racing his way down to try and snatch one of the Gryffindors out of the air before they met some newly broken bones down at ground level. Regretfully, Griseldis and Ariana were too far out of reach for him to grab. He offered some silent well-meaning thoughts and wishes of swift recovery as he raced down the the ground, wind resistance blowing back his messy mane. There was still someone he could save, Gryffindor's very own Seeker.

Just before Lamik crunched against the unwelcoming looking 'grass' flooring he would feel his uniform gripped and his momentum suddenly halt. With some effort AJ hoisted the Seeker onto his broom, pulling up roughly before they both bit the dust.

"Meek a noote! Thas wun yeh owe meh!" AJ shouted teasingly to his new riding partner. "Well cull it evun ef yeh cun cutch tha' Snetch an' weh cun ull goo back withou' moore brucken boones!"

AJ re-focused, and saw that Slytherin had regained their Seeker also. The scotsman knew he should be glad there were no more injuries, but part of him had somewhat wanted to see that Seeker eat dirt.

The game kicked off, and Lamik started searching. Despite his best efforts to focus on the game though, the boy must have still been lost in his thoughts of self-doubt, as he failed to focus on anything at all, much less on finding the snitch. Maybe it was because of this that he only saw the flash of green speeding towards him once it was too late. Dan. The opposing seeker slammed into the boy and knocked him off of the broom.

And then he was falling. Quicker and quicker, the ground seemed to draw near. Not enough time to prepare for the inevitable pain, barely enough time to even yell. Right before impact though, Lamik was saved, hauled onto another broom. "Thank you." He said, clearly shaken. "I'll do my best."

Thunder struck. Well, not literally, but it sounded as if a storm had suddenly moved into the area. What was actually heard was the sound of blood being shed. Erin took no time sending a bludger to the chosen target, Griseldis. A fierce opponent, knocking her off her broom was critical, but Tyranni couldn't celebrate that victory from the bench for long, as Erin herself was hit from behind. She watched both players tumble to the ground, no player able to save Erin. In a sickening crunch, she heard the purple haired girls body land on the field. "Are you serious!? Come on!" She screamed in outrage. Undoubtedly their strongest player was knocked to the ground, unconscious, just as easy as stepping on an ant. They still had a good team, and one positive from this situation was Gryffindor also lost one of their strongest players.

She barely caught the fierce battle for the quaffle and goal by Ruby, but relief came to her when she heard the announcement, eyes trained on Alexx charging headfirst like a bull towards Ariana. Thunder clapped again when the girl struck the Gryffindor, knocking another opponent to the ground. A smaller smack followed as the girl his the field. It did not matter that the girl was on the enemy team, she still cringed while watching her fall, body hitting the ground. The best thing would be if they players were unconscious before they hit the ground, but not everyone can be that fortunate.

Before either seeker had the chance to even spy the snitch, Dan sped off towards Lamik flying behind him, waiting for the right moment. She knew it was coming, but still the young girl jumped when Dan managed to nail Lamik on his right, knocking the rival seeker off his broom. As he tumbled to the ground, her hopes rose. Could this be the end of their first string seeker? Alas, it was too good to be, and Lamik was saved. The crowd roared in surprise? Anger? Excitement? Regardless, Lamik would feel that hit.

Yet another sound of thunder struck when Bridget struck Hugh. It was not enough to take him down, but it did some damage. The huge keeper may have looked of decent health, but his ego was definitely going to be bruised after that attack.

Never one to readily let her emotions control her, the young girl screamed as excitement filled her. Adrenaline surging through her body, heart pumping, she couldn't believe how the first game as part of the Slytherin team was going. Pride flowed through her as she looked at her fellow teammates. Jotting down notes about the game, she sat down, attempting to contain her excitement.

Remembering of their strategy, Griseldis was told what she needed to do in their first-round was to take out one of Slytherin's seeker as soon as possible. However, before the game began, her eyes had been focusing on that one familiar third-year Slytherin student called Erin Ryan. After stopping between a fight between fight at the ballroom and gave Erin a detection, they hadn't been on good terms and she was quite disappointed how they couldn't become friends because of that, another reason was that she did find her to be very odd in not so positive way. And how here they were, on the Quidditch Pitch, both of them were now truly rivals of the same role as Beaters.

Griseldis wasn't really aware of her surroundings when she successfully hit their seeker with her bulger but then she noticed the purple-haired Slytherin's bludger made its way towards her direction. Things moved way too fast for Griseldis to react due to not really expected Erin would really go after her so soon.

First was pain, then her consciousness sank deep into the dark abyss......
Griseldis is unconscious on the ground.
