An Interesting Encounter
3rd of December
During Lunch
During Lunch
The Corridors in Hogwarts were quite empty at this time of the day. Most of the students were down in the great hall enjoying Lunch. However, Kristen was not in the great hall, unlike so many of his peers. He had recently discovered that one of his textbooks (Fantastic beasts and where to find them) really was quite interesting, so much so that he had been reading it every possible moment.
The reason he wasn't in the great hall was because there there was just too much noise. Too many people laughing and talking, discussing classes, spells, quidditch and all matter of other wizarding gossip. Kristen, being muggle-born, didn't really understand most of what they were talking about, and therefore couldn't really contribute too or take part in any of the conversation. While he did at least know some about spells, he really didn't know much about anything else. He had instead decided to just continue reading, but, as mentioned above, there really was just too much noise.
So, instead of trying to read in the great hall, he had decided to just head back towards his common room. However, due to the fact that he still had his nose stuck in his book, he had gotten completely lost, and was nowhere near the dungeons. He looked up from his book and, realising he was in the wrong place, decided to take a secret passage that was nearby to get back on track.
While in the passage, he continued reading. This meant that whenever he walked through the false portrait at the other end, he didn't even notice the other student who was there. He crashed right into her, falling over.
He groaned, getting back on to his feet, leaving his book on the ground. He raised his hand to his head; He had hit his head on the stone floor, and could feel a bruise forming. he looked over to the girl who he had walked into.
"Oh god... Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going" he said, smiling apologetically.

An Interesting Encounter
December had started just a few days ago, much to Brooklyn's delight. It mixed better with the decor when the snow fell. These gray eyes and blonde hair, almost white, went unnoticed, neither for her nor for her brother. Since the beginning of the school year, they meet every day to tell each other the latest news, go to the aviary to see if they have news from their family, or just hang out in the corridors. They often liked to talk about the Muggles of their respective homes.
At that time, she was just going back to her dorm, after seeing her brother for a while. He had told her that too many Mudbloods were hanging around Slytherin, yet a house known to welcome the greatest, the purest. What a shame to welcome Muggles there. She would gladly have traded houses with them. Hufflepuff was a loose, weak house, and Mudblood, in other words, Brooke had nothing to do with it. Fortunately, no one had blamed him for that. The Sorting Hat was wrong.
Lost in these thoughts, she did not see the boy come before her and hit her violently. She looked at who that fool was. Oh, a Slytherin. And she could see who it was! Anthony had told him about it, he was a Mudblood from his house. He did not deserve his house, the house of the nobles.
- Oh god... Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going.
- Mudblood! Learn to watch when you walk!

An Interesting Encounter
Kristen stared at the girl, with a look of confusion on his face, slightly shocked at how aggresive the girl had been. He stood there for a moment, not sure of what to say.
She had called him a mudblood. By the girl's tone, he could tell that the word was meant to be offensive, but he didn't know what it meant. However, he could recall some other slytherins talking about 'mudbloods' in the common room. They had also said it with a sort of venom, indicating that it definetly wasn't a term that one would hear in polite conversation. Now that he thought about it, those groups of people would normally say it when he walked past....
"Uh.. well ... " he began, not really sure of what to say. "Sorry for bumping into you, I'll make sure to look where I'm going from now on." he said as politely as he could.
He began to walk away from the girl, desperately trying to get away from the situation. However, curiosity quickly got the better of him, and he stopped walking, now a few feet away from the girl. He turned round, looking back at her.
"what does... what does 'mudblood' mean?" he asked.

No. Really? No, no, no. She had an ear problem. Didn't he even know what it was? And he apologized in addition? So there, she had come across someone with whom the conversation promised to be funny. Explaining to a Mudblood what it was going to be fun, Pierce said. With the help of her brother, she knew a lot about the Slytherins. Notably the Muggles who had encrusted themselves.
- You have to hear it often though. It represents people like you.
He was definitely too nice for his house. They should have swapped houses. Finally the conversation would perhaps be interesting.
She used to prank and often found herself in an unnamed mess. Oh, it was so fun to make people believe completely wrong things. Was it mean? Yes. It was also the goal, right? Brooklyn liked to joke, it was in his nature. But there, she did not feel in the mood. Usually, these victims knew why they called themselves so, and not him. The charier would have no interest in Brooke. It would bring culture to this Slytherin, and nothing more! She could find other victims of these pranks afterward. There she had to teach someone who he was. No, but seriously? It was not his role to do that! Didn't he have enough people in his house to explain it to him?
