Edith strolled past the trees, eventually settling underneath a large oak one, and took out her crochet set, as Lopsie, her pet rat, had fun in the wilderness of the grass and the nature. It was Edith's favorite place, The Grounds. She felt at peace here, and always super calm, especially on a fine day like this when the sun was out and there wasn't even a drizzle. A cool wind blew on Edith's neck, calming her down.
Edith had never thought it was strange, to be alone. In fact, most of her life she had indeed spent alone. When she was very young, Edith lived with her aunt, after he parents died. Then, at only eight years old, she got sent to a foster family, and lived there until she was eleven; when she received her letter to Hogwarts. Even now, she was a shy person, never able to make too many friends, and absolutely fine with just a rat and nature for company.
Whilst other girls wanted to chat and gossip and giggle about boys and the like, Edith had never had any interest in that sort of 'pointless stuff' as she called it.
She had very few friends, but was very satisfied with them. Little did she know that just an hour late she might just have one more...
