Happy Birthday Miss Darcy
Date: Thursday November 13th, 2025

For the rest of Hogwarts’ students and staff this particular Thursday was just like any other. The castle would begin to stir right around sunrise and the people would carry on with their routines of classes, studies and various hobbies. Just another day in the life of a young witch or wizard, but for Harvey this day held the upmost importance. Today was Lilith’s birthday and it was going to be damn perfect if he had anything to do with it.
If it weren’t for the fact that he was only twelve years old, the planning for this day of extravagance would most likely have put a couple of grey hairs on his head. Not only was he swamped with his coursework and plans for the upcoming holidays, but now he was squeezing in a day full of gifts and events for his Lilith. Harvey just might complain about it, but oh what he wouldn’t do for just one smile from her.
So, as Lilith arrived to the Gryffindor table for breakfast that morning she would soon be visited by a series of owls. The first would bring a beautiful bouquet of roses. The second would deliver a fine box of chocolates for her to enjoy throughout the day and the third would deliver a note from Harvey himself. His words were filled with adoration for Lilith and they promised her a day of doting and pampering. She was to finish her breakfast and attend her classes, but he would be waiting in the courtyard crunch together.
When Lilith made her way to the courtyard, Harvey would be there waiting. Sprawled out on the ground in front of the central fountain was a blanket and cushions for them to sit on. A large bottle sat in the center and within it were some bluebell flames to provide her with warmth, but there would be extra blankets too if she needed them. A picnic basket was there too and within were the finest of cheeses and charcuteries with some sparkling juice for her pleasure. “Lilith, darling.” Harvey would greet her with a soft kiss to the back of her hand before gesturing towards picnic. “How has your day been so far? I trust you received your gifts this morning?”

Lilith's day had been absolutely amazing. She had woke up on her birthday like she always did: excited about the attention she would get. And she hadn't been disappointed. The surprises had started at the breakfast table. Lilith firmly believed she was deserving of all these attentions, but she couldn't hide her surprise and her joy when the gifts arrived at her table. She also loved the envious looks from her classmates, and, she had to admit, the questions they asked. She of course played it mysterious, shrugging and answering: "Oh, you wouldn't know him" when people insisted to know the name of the person that was showering her in attentions and gifts.
After classes, she went back to her dorm to change and put on a more flattering outfit than her uniform. While she was changing, she thought that she should ask Harvey what his favorite color was, so she could dress that particular color for some occasions. She knew how much he cared about fashion, as an art, and seeing her wearing what he imagined always made him smile in a way that made Lilith's heart skip a beat.
She walked into the courtyard, trying not to run. He was already there, standing up as she arrived and kissing her hand.
"I did, yes, receive your gifts. I can't say I didn't like it." She answered, forgetting for once to act and offering him a real, sincere smile.
"Thank you."

When Lilith arrived in the courtyard she had purposefully changed out of her school uniform and into something a bit more showy. He loved her sense of style and how flashy she could be. A spark of color and pizazz to compliment his rather conservative attire. Perhaps an odd pairing to outsiders, but the two had their own unique way of keeping each other on the tips of their toes. Now that he was thinking about it, Harvey should have sent her a letter requesting a certain dress that he thought she look absolutely amazing in. A flowy red piece that she wore every so often and the way it contrasted with her black curls and dark eyes he simply found stunning.
Harvey would have to shake that thought away though and focus on the present. His smile would only widen to match hers. Lilith often feigned a pout or kept a nonchalant expression just to tease him, but this time he could tell her beam was genuine. Harvey could only imagine how she flaunted her gifts this morning and knew she would have been delighted to show off. Some would call it petty, but to him it was a privilege. He wanted pretty things in his life and Lilith was surely that. She deserved all of the nice things in life that Harvey could offer and to hell with anyone that had a problem with that.
As he kissed the back of her hand his heart would flutter. It was mostly a formal gesture, but it still drove him a bit mad as her almost smoky scent filled his nostrils. "You're very welcome. It's my pleasure to spoil you on your special day. Now, come sit." Harvey often liked to boss her around a bit. He knew it would make her squirm, but they took great fun in teasing each other. After helping her to the cushioned picnic blanket he would kneel and open the basket to begin offering her whatever she may desire. "I have sparkling juice for you. The very finest charcuteries and cheeses. Or darling, perhaps you'd like to just graze on chocolate all day. Whatever you want, it's yours." Harvey would pour her a glass if she wanted before fixing one for himself.
Harvey would allow enough time for her to settle and begin her lunch however she saw fit. "How were your classes so far today? They really should have cleared your schedule for you. Allow for a proper day of pampering, but don't you worry. I've got something up my sleeves for this evening. Oh! Speaking of which, Ive got something for you now." Harvey retrieved a gift bag from his satchel and presented it to her. "Go on, open it." Inside was an ornately crafted wooden box. Lined with gold etchings and detailed carvings, polished to perfection. When she opened the lid up would rise two figurines that closely resembled Harvey and Lilith. They were both enchanted to dance around together as a soft melody played along. He hoped that an enchanted music box wasn't too juvenile for her, but there was just something so pretty about it that he really hoped she liked.
"If you don't like it, I won't be offended. And don't worry, there are plenty of more gifts on the way for you." Harvey watched her eyes to just her reaction.
