Witches of Wisdom: Prologue

Author's Note: Hello, thank you for reading this! This is a story I'm writing for you, please follow along with the next chapters. Each time, in reducio, Piper finds the book, so it's also a roleplay, but please don't post on this unless you're commenting my story because it isn't really a roleplay, it's meant to be read. Thank you for understanding!

Reducio

Piper had a very perfect, class-filled, learning day, and while her housemates thought it was rather annoying and went back to the common room, but Piper, however, thought it was the best time to read.

She pulled out a book her housemates would think is rather big, but to Piper all books held the same ammount of understandable mysterious aura of knowledge that just begged her to know the secrets that lie within the delicate parchment pages.

It didn't matter the genre or purpose for Piper to learn more, because she thought of everything in a different way: perhaps a charcter overcomes a challenge, she would see it as reflecting the reader's challenges in everyday life, not just a fantasy story for young kids.

An informational text about whales, let's say, wouldn't just state facts: it would open you to a world many people can't experience in front of their eyes, since knowledge isn't something we see, or we smell, but something we feel. And that is what makes Piper different from other Slytherins; she understands perspective instead of power.

The book was fantasy, and this is how it goes in the first page. The book is called Witches of Wisdom:

Prologue

"Are you sure you want to be doing this, Marilda?" She asked, her voice weak. Marilda nodded. "Of course," The old woman whose name was known as Marilda croaked to her sister. "I'm as frail and weak as you are, Sivliana. This our only hope."

Silviana looked convinved, but Dorathy, the old womens' other sister, did not. "We are all to weak and old to do this," She cried, "Don't do it. If you do, we all have to." Dorothy added. Marilda frowned at her sister's wrinkly face. "But we must, for the sake of dear Elliot and Maria." She insisted.

"They're you're grandchildren, not mine," Dorothy pointed out, grinding her teeth. "Both of you, would you please be quiet? Dorothy, we can't just let the innocent babies die. That would be cruel." Silviana told her gently.

"We might die!" Dorothy pointed out briskly. "But it was a prophecy, Dorothy. We must die to save them." Silviana told her quietly. "I'm not doing anything for them, prophecy or not!" Dorothy grumbled.

After a moment of silence, Dorothy sighed. "Fine.....do it." Was the grunted answer. Marilda looked satisfied. She rolled her wheelchair to the middle of the living room of the old countryside house that appeared to be as old as they were.

"Hasha hua ma, hasha hua ma, ma hua hasha, hasha, hasha hua ma, ma, hasha-a hua maaaaa!" Marilda chanted, taking a stick the sisters knew of as a wand. She sung it around, saying the chant each time as she pointed it to one elder, to the next, then to her.

Suddenly, a gray smoke swept over them, and when it cleared, they were gone. Just gone. In their place, however, was a young toddler. She was next to a basket, in that basket was her newborn brother. She was just a year older than him. She didn't know where she was, who her family was, or her name. All she knew was that she was with her brother.

My name is Piper Clarkwood. I am a Ravenclaw, always will be. I was placed in Slytherin because my brother, fiddled with the buttons. I am very intelligent and pretty creative. You'd find me sitting at Ravenclaw tower with my new friend, Julia Evans.
