To whomever it may concern,
If you are reading this, it is because we believe you may possess the skills and temperament desired to join
κ΅ κ κ£ κ. Our objectives are simple, and twofold.
The first is what it appears like on the surface. A twisted guild for like-minded spirits. M.A.P.S. hears the whispers spread across the castle and investigates, even if it means venturing beyond curfews and boundaries. Perhaps we'll storm the kitchens to emancipate house-elves, follow rumours of a Kraken in the Great Lake, or try and talk to centaurs in the Forbidden Forest. Hogwarts boasts a rich history of unexplained magical occurrences, incidents and events, not taught in History of Magic. M.A.P.S. enlists its members to explore the school grounds, interview persons of interests, and responsibly document our findings. For those in the pursuit of forbidden knowledge, beyond the sanitised version taught in class, we can help.
The secondary role, one that is less advertised, is more of a way to connect resourceful students and to create a group of skilled individuals who are at one another's disposal. An underground network of sorts. People might be adept at retrieving or spreading rumours, others may be skilled at charms or potions, some might have access to restricted texts or ingredients. Looking for something? No problem, we know a witch or wizard who can help. Looking for answers? Fortune tellings, readings, and a seerβs intuition at your disposal. Looking for thrills? We can be of service, if evenings of betting, elusive meetings and nights of revelry pique your fancy. The prerequisites are that you bring something to the table and you are willing to get in some trouble; this creates a sense of group loyalty and deters those who aren't willing to commit. For those who are not faint of heart, it might also interest you that M.A.P.S. will collate intel, keeping tabs on the entire school machine.
M.A.P.S. is multi-functional, a swiss-army knife at your own disposal. And it is exactly as it appears to be - a map, connecting students in the shadows.

... OOC infoThink of this society as a plot hook and opportunity to RP with an array of people. Perhaps we really can use our network of skills to trade favours. I would like to build a society that grows in ranks, with more regular RPers forming an 'inner sanctum'. Meetings will be held sporadically and members will receive invites through coded messages/riddles. IC detention is a high risk, so join at your own peril. RPs may vary from nightly escapades, to organised events, routine meetings and possible overarching plotlines.
Notes from Regent...Thank you all for your eager show of interest and applications. Your suggestions have been invaluable in fully realising the potential M.A.P.S. has. I am currently working on an RP establishing M.A.P.S. as an organisation and will commence society activities soon. I believe @Sabrina Lyon's idea of an abandoned classroom as an operational headquarters would be most apt for open RPing and getting to know other members.

People often note that Valour has a rather unnerving stare. They have large, round eyes with an upwards tilt, framed by thick, dark lashes and brows. Their eyes are quite a shocking pale grey - a trait they must have gotten from their father's side of the family, somehow. She has often been described as looking constantly perturbed or judgmental (though this often isn't the case.) I find she often looks quite curious, pensive even, as though everything was of great mystery to them.
Other notable facial features include a roman nose and beauty marks across their cheeks, under her mouth and on her collarbone. Valour is somewhat ethnically ambiguous, with strong Sri Lankan heritage on my side of the family, and traces of South-East Asia on her fatherβs. She has the softest cheeks - my favourite thing. They remind me she's still my baby, despite how mature she can be.
Her hair is black, cut into messy layers, and a little wavy. They usually look like they are fresh out of bed. When she was last seen, her hair was pinned up into an bun with a wooden hairpin, but when down, it reaches just past her shoulders. Valour also wears two small silver hoops on each lobe (much to mine and her father's disapproval).
Please help us bring her home.
