The hum of speech was bumblebee busy, the white noise of pleasant conversation that drowned out individual conversations and merged all into a singular voice of seamless interaction. Tables of first to third years were left behind as Piérre stopped near the entrance doors that connected the two main halls of Hogwarts, not quite quiet with the clamour of noise behind them and yet unoccupied.
Before Astrea could say anything positive about the good choice, her hand was let go abruptly as Piérre had dashed away into a tight spin and pulled out a pale yew wand with a practised motion. From where she was slightly behind the other, she could see the motion of leg-like runes being drawn, see the way that the wand was pointed at its caster in a deliberately mischievous action. Astrea’s eyes widened in surprise as a slight smile graced her, the jinx motions connecting with lessons of a year past in her memory. The dancing feet spell, usually used on others for duelling or humiliation. But Astrea had never seen it used on the caster on purpose, but with the giddy incantation of “Tarantellegra!” that bubbled from Piérre‘s lips-
The other’s entire body burst into a dance, something strange and peppy that looked considerably more controlled in Piérre‘s favour than the normal flail of limbs. A peculiar sort of strung-together motions that did not look wholly- bad- but more eccentric than anything considering how flighty Piérre‘s feet became in a matter of minutes, never staying upon the ground for more than a few seconds. A slide, an array of playful kicks. The invisible music Piérre danced along to began to die down as he wandered slightly away before coming toward Astrea and asking for her hand, sweeping her up into a slow dance.
In the middle of the surprising waltz, Piérre let out a soft laugh. “Sorry if that first outburst was a little much. I always admired Dick Van Dyke and his dancing.” Astrea had no idea who Dick Van Dyke was and while not enough to make her falter in the familiar motions of a waltz, the lack of knowledge abruptly reminded her that she was a fish out of water, shadowing her gaze darkly for a split-second before the look faded. ”I’m also really sorry if my energy was ever too much. I usually get told that a lot.” Astrea shook her head, the corners of her lips pulling upwards. "No, it's fine. Energy is good, I've heard that a lack of such gets quite boring." Perhaps that was why people avoided conversation with her. Hm.
”I’m glad I got to know you. I was a little worried about the pairings, truth be told, but I suppose everything has a reason for happening, right?” A minuscule change in the smooth dance Astrea and Piérre shared signified the end of the dancing feet spell, though the practised motions did not cease in flow or tune. "I would suppose." The little waltz ended nicely and Astrea curtsied nicely in gratitude, pleased to see Piérre politely bow back low. And Astrea had wondered worriedly who she would have been paired with. This was without a doubt the best possible scenario that could have taken place, a soother for the chaos of everyday Hogwarts life.
Piérre straightened with a bright smile on his face, green eyes sparkling. "It was an honour to get to know you. We should talk again sometime!” Piérre's head tipped back towards the crowd of chatting pairs. ”Want to get some tea? Crumpets?”
Astrea turned her head to look upon the 'couples' with an amused eye before looking back toward Piérre. "No, thank you. I think I've overstayed my time, I wasn't prepared to spend so long here. It was a pleasure, we should meet up again sometime. Thank you for the company, best of luck." And with flashing smile and nod, Astrea spun upon her heel and exited the Small Hall.Action: Astrea exits the thread.ReducioNote: It's been a real charm to roleplay with you! I really like the dynamic between Astrea and Piérre, and I'm really digging the fact that you stuck in the penguin song aha. Piérre‘s really a gem, you write him in well- both in the seriousness he portrayed during the seated conversation and the funny little dittie of a dance. Cheers~

Lamik's answer was expected. What the hell kind of nonsense was this anyway? Hogwarts didn't have yearbooks, or yearbook quotes. Why would they be expected to know what their quote would be?
Then Dan remembered that Olphie was the one who organized this, and likely was the one who made the questions.
Then eeeeeeeverything made sense.
Then, Lamik asked about.... him. Oswald Vanington. The one who took his first kiss, and then vanished. Dan was understandably hesitant to talk about it. Ozzy was the first person he had ever dated, regardless of how short a time it was. But for him to just vanish, without a word, right after what was, despite what else happened, the most romantic and lovely night of Dan's life... It was a touchy subject.
"....Oswald. Oswald Vanington. We met in the library, started dating, and after the ball, he just vanished. Like completely. No one in his house has seen him, no one else has seen him, I just.....
Dan struggled to hold tears back.
"He was my first ever boyfriend, and now he's just gone. I don't know what to do, I don't know if I should wait for him, or if I should move on, or what."
Dan wasn't sure if Lamik could understand him; Dan was dangerously close to going full Irish. But he was beyond the caring point at that moment.

Valentine's Tea

Olphie was ragged, having dealt with quite the ordeal in the trio she had left with. With one broken emotionally, one broken physically, and one so far gone that he simply passed out, these Hogwarts students were certainly a mess. But once they were in the sweet care of the Hospital Wing, Olphie could not linger in her actions or thoughts, except to remind a certain Miss Purplesong Nickelback that she would be receiving an owl detailing her detention in the future.
When the Flying professor entered the Small Hall, she was so frantic that she did not take in who was still there or why. The overall atmosphere seemed calmer, much more full of love, but what did she know? All she was focused on was ensuring that the entire day wasn't a complete disaster, that the children would be left with some parting words of advice that they could use to their advantage.
"Now children!" She declared, clapping her hands together as wildly as one of those circus monkey toys that she had owned as a small child, "I'm so sorry that I had to leave you so suddenly, but as I have learned, professional duties can take precedence over romance -" Her thoughts lingered to the first year dance, the aftermath of pain and, from her perspective, betrayal. Not by the man but by the potion that was supposed to guarantee its success. She shoved the feelings away almost as quickly as they had entered, clapping once more. "Now. I hope you all have enjoyed yourselves and found a partner to last a lifetime. If you had success, may I give you some parting words to ask out your date...
"Now, this is guaranteed to succeed. First, you must take a picture of your crush just 'living life' so you can study every line of their face. Make sure they know that you're taking the picture so they don't think you're a stalker or something! I would recommend trying to find a natural picture, so try to get a shot while they're brushing their teeth or something...I'm afraid I don't have any cameras to help you, but you'd better act quickly before your date forgets you!
"After, draw a picture of them. This picture must be a life size image. if you cannot draw, though drawing shows that you truly care, you can blow up the picture you took of them using magic or Muggle means, though don't wait until summer! Send it to your parents to get it done right away. Perhaps asking Professor Price to help you enlarge it would be the simpler solution. As I said before, you must study every line of their face. Why? It is important for when you ask them out...
"Now, find them right as they wake up on the day you wish to ask them out. I must reiterate: do it as quickly as you can! Love can strike as quickly as lightning! Bring them your drawing/photo and as soon as you see they've awoken from their slumber, start making out with the image you have brought with you. As you lick their face all over (I told you, study those lines!), breathe, 'I will always make out with you (name), even when you have that dog breath like you do this morning.'
"Then, rip up the picture to show that you only love the true them, get down on one knee, and say, 'Will you date me?' It. Is. Foolproof!
"And with that, I must bid you thanks and say farewell, for I've got a detention to plan!" She clapped her hands once more, methaphorical feathers still ruffled by the chaos from earlier, an almost-manic smile etched on her face, looking as terrifying as her dating advice sounded. Without a further word, the Flying professor left the room, and breathed deeply, finally embracing the peace of a completed event. It had started off quite dramatically, but with her fantastic conclusion, it would certainly be a memory that the Hogwarts students would never forget.

Olphie exits thread, not to return. Thread, from my standpoint, is complete, but you are welcome to quickly tie up any loose ends.

Valentine's Tea
"Now, students, let's all get back to the true point of this day: love. I'm going to pass out some papers to you; each paper will have a question. After you have received your paper, I'd like you to find your partner and converse, using each question as your guide! After you've talked a while, you'll get an opportunity to switch. Oh what fun! Now, the pairs are the following..."
Violine sighed, she felt relieved. This would get her free. The Professor would get her paired with someone, anyone, and she would get free from the terrible cat...
"Violine Thomas and Shrödinger..."
She started slightly. *That has to be a joke...* wondered Violine. It was a dream, and she would soon wake up... She pinched herself but for some reason, it didn't work. *Oh no, I'm stuck in this nightmare!* she thought. She knew she wasn't making sense anymore but she couldn't think straight.
Maybe she hadn't heard right. Maybe the Professor had made a mistake. Maybe... She stared straight at the cat. Maybe he had organised everything. Cats were very clever animals, but in the way demons are. She felt sure all of this was his own doing. She knew this kind of predator likes to play with their prey. First, they torture it and then they kill it and eat it. Or the other way round. The cat stared back at her and she could swear he was... smiling.
When she received the small piece of paper, she didn't even move. What was the point? Whether she read it or not, she would die. Unless... Unless she went away.
But at the same time, the girl had asked her to keep an eye on the little devil. What was worse? Dying horribly or facing the possible wrath of Xailah later?
As she was thinking about the most enjoyable way to die, she discreetly shifted in her seat and before the cat could jump and aim for her eyes, she jumped to her feet and walked decidedly towards the door. She didn't even turn to check if the cat was following her or if Xailah had seen her leave. All she wanted was to get out of this horrible room and forget everything.

Violine has left the thread before the Professor's speech.
Sorry, I know I'm super late but I've been through a lot OOC and I just wanted to wrap up this thread quickly. I hope it's okay!
