Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour is a beloved fixture of Diagon Alley in London not far from Flourish and Blotts. This ice cream parlor has a cheerful storefront painted in soft pastels and a colorful enchanted sign announces the well-known shop's name to anyone who might somehow be unaware. This popular ice cream shop stands in colorful contrast to the darker, more austere shops nearby. The ice cream shop is a popular destination year-round, but during the summer months there is often a small queue of students, families, and wandering witches gathered outside.

Upon entering Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor visitors are greeted by a rush of cool, sweet air and the comforting scent of sugar, vanilla, and waffle cones. The interior of the shop is bright and welcoming, with small round tables, bright cushioned chairs, and enchanted windows that seem to let in just a bit more sunlight than Diagon Alley should allow. Soft music sometimes hums in the background of the shop and the clink of spoons against glass bowls provides a constant, cheerful rhythm.

This is a space that is always full of energy, from the laughter of children to reminiscent adults. Children are often delighted by the number of toppings Florean's offers, but parents and grandparents are often wowed by the traditional flavors that they still keep on the menu. This is a shop that combines innovation and inspiration with the comforts of tradition.

There is some historical context to this establishment, but the decades have washed many of the memories of the Second Wizarding War away. Florean's founder, Florean Fortescue, for whom the site was named was more than an ice cream maker, he was an academic with a deep interest in wizarding history and folklore. He was taken during the second wizarding war and while he never returned to the shops, his legacy lives on through his children that run this shop to this very day.
