Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands was established in 382 B.C., making Ollivanders one of the oldest and most revered establishments in the wizarding world. The structure we know today as Ollivanders has changed over the past two millennia, but their legacy is steeped in ancient magic.

Ollivanders shop fits well within the row of shops on Diagon Alley, well-known and with a large sign, the shop is hard to miss and trod by almost every moder wizard and witch at least once within their lifetime. The shop itself is long, narrow, and dimly lit, with towering shelves stretching up toward the ceiling, stacked floor-to-ceiling with slim, wand-shaped boxes. Dust motes float lazily in the air, and the scent of old wood and parchment hangs heavily.

Ollivanders has remained under the stewardship of the Ollivander family since it was first founded. Presently Garrick Ollivander, the world's foremost modern wandmaker remains at the helm. Nieces and nephews apprentice at his shop, employees remains for the most part within the family.

Ollivanders specializes exclusively in wandlore and wandcraft, offering:

• Thousands of carefully catalogued wands
• Each made from a specific wood and magical core
• Wands ranging from willow and yew to holly, ash, hawthorn, and beyond
• Cores such as phoenix feather, dragon heartstring, unicorn hair, and rarer materials
