Alan seemed similarly dubious about the fate of the two, though his focus seemed to be on the victim rather than the harasser. Everyone always seemed to see each situation differently. Perspective was a dramatic element of understanding someone’s thoughts. It was interesting that Alan’s concern was on whether the girl would continue to be bullied, rather than what action the actually actively dangerous element would play on the rest of the world once he was unleashed.

Perspective… he likely cared more about the small scale effect of the interaction. The emotional, personal effect. How the girl would fare in the future, given that she put up hardly any fight this time around. That wasn’t Flash’s concern at all. Everyone had to fend for themselves in the end, people rarely took advice on how to live their lives without being drawn into thinking it was their idea to begin with.

Flash’s concern was the boy himself, who was a force of havoc in the school. Much more important than the feelings of one girl, who was in no real danger to begin with. With the proper leverage, Flash could have convinced him that his path of terror was collapsing the ground beneath him, causing nothing but self-destruction. Another case of someone needing to be told how to think, too brainless to see much further than one step ahead of them. Some people liked to think if they ran fast enough, the things they’ve done would never catch up to them.

”She’ll be fine, no doubt.” Flash gave an off-handed placation. It was good information about Alan to have. If he had known it sooner, he may have known Alan would want to take action. Save the girl from sadness. She would have been saved eventually either way. ”I’m glad you were with me Alan, you always seem to help me out whenever you’re around. Now then, let’s get back to our boring lives.”

Flash parted ways with Alan, assuring him that they should get together and talk again soon. While he had only meant to enjoy a moment of quiet contemplation by the sound of the lightly falling rain, he had no complaints about how he had spent his time instead. He would be sure to keep the time away from Alan shorter this time, there was a lot more to learn.
