International Women's Day Errand

International Women's Day is in March and Ruthie and Gris, along with Professor Equinox want to take the opportunity to celebrate the female characters on site. Students are to either work in a small group or on their own to celebrate their female friends' achievement or the achievement and impact of women in the magical world at large.

Suggestions include:

-- Writing card and presenting it to a female character to show her you appreciate her (to take place in a central thread in the Great Hall)

-- Creating and handing out posters (or other merchandise) to celebrate women (to take place in a central thread in the Great Hall)

-- Researching women's history (magical or muggle) (feel free to bring books to the central thread, or this can be separate)

-- As a female character, doing something to better the school (such as planting a tree or completing a personal goal)

-- Make up your own, but again this must clearly relate to women’s empowerment

Please note, this is not Valentine's Day. This is not the time to tell your crush how pretty her hair is. You can tell her that she is strong, intelligent, capable, etc.

As this is fairly open, please note upon completion, please mark what action you completed towards the goal of empowering women and girls.
