This is attempted prank#2. I have failed once, not again.
Yes, Maddy was planning a prank….Again. Seems like she hadn’t learned anything after hurting those poor first years on her first ever attempt at a prank. It was really not meant to be for them, it was supposed to be for her dipshit brother. But of course he had to move out
As of now, Maddy was in her usual spot in the study room. It was on a windowsill at the far corner of the room. It was quiet here. She didn’t really like this eeriness but, this time the prank needed to be perfect. She had taken the advice of some of her dorm mates that silence helps in keeping focus.
Lets see what silence got her to. The results she has by now. Take a guess. Nothing.
Nothing planned. The only thing she is doing is smacking her head lightly on the window, hoping that it will bump some ideas into her head.
Maddy groaned lightly looking at the empty parchment, “Come on!! Where are the family genetics when you need them? No fair he gets away with pranking me and I cant think of anything.”
Maddy looked out the window towards the courtyard. The tree her and Belle used to sit below still clear and looking magnificent as the sun fell on the leaves. I wonder what the giant squid is doing?
“Oh snap out of it and focus Maddy.” She reminded herself and looked at the empty parchment dully.

November 30 2025A few hours ago, Yexian decided to head to a study room instead of the library to study and finish her homework. The study room was quiet and didn’t have a lot of people. The weather was cold and windy, and the sun wasn't bright. The environment was perfect for studying. Yexian went to a table beside a window with a stunning view. She sorted out her stuff and started studying while occasionally looking out the window.
Back to present time, Yexian had already finished most of her homework; she also just finished her short break. "2 more assignments and I'll be done for the day!" she thought while opening her Potion’s homework. Potions is her favourite subject, so she was pretty excited to reread the lesson and solve its homework. The sound of her quill on parchment is like music to her ears. However, this pleasure was interrupted when she started hearing a soft sound. She stopped writing and looked at the table in front of her, where the sound came from. Yexian showed no reaction, but she wondered why someone would do that. Do they have an exam or quiz? Putting the thought aside, she looked back at her parchment and continued solving her homework.
Her focus was interrupted again when she heard a loud voice coming from the same direction the soft hitting sound came from a while ago. She dropped the quill and looked at the girl sitting at the table in front of her again. “What the.. this is a study room…” she thought. She really wanted to say those words out loud, but she couldn’t. “Family genetics? So she doesn’t have exams..” she realised. A few seconds later, the girl looked out the window, and the room was once again quiet. Yexian decided to take advantage of the situation and continue studying.
