The Drowned Palace

In all fairness, the clock seemed to have been the last of the pieces to this puzzle. Nothing else in the room that wouldn't have already been investigated, showed any great "potential" for hidden clues.MOD POST - GROUP 8
@Althea Valeden casts a well-timed reparo, and maybe truly, because help comes in numbers, it worked out this time, her wand deciding to cooperate. As the hand clicks into place, the numeral 4 begins to glow and the clock chimes. Loudly. Time is soon to be up. A panel in the wall slides away, revealing an old-fashioned safe. Try as they might to unlock it, it seems useless until, suddenly, they notice it is locked by a code. Six numbers. Have you been paying attention? It might have something to do with the string of numbers that would be formed from all the other clues before. It seemed, that this was their way out.
Now to actually figure out the order in which the numbers needed to be as well as which ones to use. With the clock functioning now and its rhythmic ticking, it was almost signifying that this game was coming to an end.

I mostly waited to see if anyone would interact more (and also the whole 2 weeks on slower groups), and I missed the fact that this Monday passed. Apologies.

The incantation of the repairing spell left her more smoothly than the first few spells she had casted tonight. Althea startled as the hands began creaking to life, the once broken and still hands clicking towards a position. "It worked!" She sighed in relief, glancing at Lucille beside her with a small smile at their joint success.
Within moments of clicking, the hands stilled once more, and the 4 on the clock began to glow on the clock's surface. She winced as resounding chimes began to erupt from the clock. Something clearly came from her reparo.
Suddenly, a rumbling behind her made her swivel around, edging herself in front of Lucille. A wall in the room had begun sliding away, and with its retreat revealed a safe. She approached it cautiously. Surely, it is not a cursed object that would kill her and everyone else in the room. Surely not. She gingerly tried to search for a way to open it, but to no avail. That is, when she discovered a padlock for a code– 6 numbers. Althea's eyes widened. Her eyes scanned the room. The clues and numbers around the room... They were for this code! The picture that was rolled to them must be a clue to. A map... A route... Steps! It was the sequence that it was hinting at.
"It's the numbers we found! They were for this 6-digit code," Althea told the others, her voice relieved with an underlying excitement. They were finally getting somewhere. She held out her hand and used her finger to write on her other palm. She muttered under her breath, "We found the number behind the painting, which was 7. The books emphasised the number 1. The bottom of the shells basket revealed a 3. Earlier, the clock hands before the reparo was fixed on 4, and 3. After casting, the number glowing was 4."
Althea turned to the others, biting her lip. "Why don't we try 713434? I'm not sure if it will work, so if this doesn't work, we can re-think together." Doubt swirled in her at the validity of the code. Nothing ever worked for her at first go, but... there was no harm in trying, she supposed. Facing the others, she pumped her fist in a small action, "The end is near, hang in there, guys!" They had to stay positive. Though I'm not very positive... She mentally sighed.
Action: Put together a possible code combination (713434) (if nobody else responds, assume code was input into safe)

Alright, Fred’s suggestion only led them back to something they had already checked. He had, in fact, solved a riddle, but one that hadn’t helped much in the end. Instead of sulking, however, he tried to put his head to work once more in response to Althea’s question. “Yes, there was another number with the text, a seven…” he let it trail off, still unsure what to do with those blasted numbers.
Fred looked toward Rosaline, Leo, and Lucille, hoping they might add something, but they all seemed just as lost as he was. His last hope was Althea, who much to everyone’s relief, appeared to be picking up the trail of an answer, one that might finally allow them to finish the game and get out of there. Without quite realising it, Fred began to stick close to her, almost like a shadow.
The older girl, now that Frederick was paying closer attention, was very beautiful and very clever. Like a child copying someone he admired, Fred orbited around her as she cast a repairing spell on the broken clock. Instantly, the object lit up, the number four standing out as it resumed working properly. “That’s it!” he cheered along with everyone else, excitement bubbling up as he began to believe again that they were close to cracking the puzzle.
Still mimicking everything Althea did, when she turned to investigate the safe that had revealed itself behind a sliding wall, Frederick followed. He watched over the girl’s shoulder as she discovered a lock with a six-digit code, listening closely to her words, his brows drawing together as he focused on helping the group.
“You’re a genius!” Fred blurted out as soon as Althea finished her reasoning, repeating the numbers out loud. “713434. It has to be that, this is our password to get out of here!” As he spoke, his voice grew more animated. Unwilling to waste any time, patience was never his strong suit, he stepped up to the lock before anyone else could. With nimble hands, Frederick entered the sequence of numbers and stepped back from the safe, waiting anxiously for the outcome of his action.
Action: Entering the code to open the old-fashioned safe.

It seemed @Althea Valeden and @Frederick Buckley agreed with a possible code, as they input it in the locked box. It beeped with a sound that would indicate the code was wrong, before the first four numbers would be erased, leaving the last two there. So that most likely meant...two numbers were right...the rest were not.MOD POST - GROUP 8
Looking back, it made sense that 7 would be among the first numbers, but wasn't something before that? The 1 clearly is part of the code too, but it looks not to be at the right spot either. Give it another look around, think back to everything that happened and maybe you can find the way out yet.
If the numbers are not supposed to repeat each other, which they don't seem to need to, it means that aside from the ones they input, they had to figure out two more.
For example, one thought back to the book clue would show that maybe it was not only one number they needed to grab from there.
And maybe the first number was meant to be before the clues even started properly, wasn't it something once the room was lit up after the song was sung?
More direct hints than the ones already given above, below under reducio, open at your own discretion (hopefully the hints above are enough to go by when searching through the mod posts, but in case it can be difficult to spot):

There is a number in the mod post that was right after the song was sung. This post <<Holding their hands in a shape of ".......">> That comes first. Followed by the painting hint, then the book, the shell, and the clock.
At the book hint, there is a number on the date that is glowing "1" yes, but there is also something circled. That is part of the code as well.

Frederick's confidence in Althea's guess made her anxious. It was a guess made on the spot, and knowing how she never once solved a sudoku puzzle, the Hufflepuff bit her lip anxiously and held her breath as the boy excitedly tapped in the code.
The resounding beep of rejection was like an arrow in her pride, moreso a weight on how she let her juniors down. "Well... Clearly not a genius, I'm afraid," She chuckled to shake off the sting of the failure. Trying to distract herself from it, Althea bent down to take a closer look at the safe, humming in curiosity when the last two digits remained in the padlock. How curious. The two numbers at the back must be correct, then.
Althea paced lightly across the room, wondering what they could have missed. It must have been the issue with the clock hands. They were broken in the first place, something to be fixed– It could not have possibly been part of the clue. She lightly smacked herself on the temple for that misstep. What else could she have missed? She accounted for the painting, the basket of shells, the book...
Althea's eyes widened. The book did not only have the number '1' highlighted in the date, but when they flipped to the drawings of shells and their rarity, there had been another number circled so violently it was glaring. 6! Yet, these only made up 5 numbers.
There was still something left, what could it be? Althea walked along the perimeter of the room, scanning it carefully. She glanced outside of the large window, at the numerous sea creatures beyond. Then, the clue drifted into her lap. Mermaid silhouettes, holding up their hands in the number '8'. "That's it...! We've been missing the number from these sea creatures from the window," Althea told the group with a dumbfounded sigh. She couldn't believe her own stupidity. "We should not have counted the clock hands that were meant to be fixed to begin with. I think we had to use the other circled number in the book too." She went over to where the books had been left scattered on the floor. She picked up the book that gave them the clue, showing the others where the number '6' was circled repeatedly.
"Now we just have to position the numbers in the right order." Placing the book down again, the Hufflepuff walked back to the safe in contemplation. She muttered, "We entered the room and saw the window first, so the first digit is 8. The painting clue is the next clue, meaning the second digit is 7. In order, the digits from the books will be... Let's try 1, then 6. The basket of shells bring the digit 3, and the clock revealed the digit 4." The rambling was quick and purely fresh from her train of thought, slightly convoluted from her own doubts.
She turned to look at her teammates, and tried to joke, "Well, if this doesn't work, we can just try to spam all possible combinations. Fun, right?" Her anticlimactic first attempt had been a downer enough. Hopefully, this would at least reveal more correct numbers.
Sucking in a small breath, Althea typed in the code, "871634."

As @Althea Valeden came up with a new possibility for the code, there was a moment of tense silence with nothing much happening before the sound of a click was heard and the lock gave way, opening the safe. Inside, a key that would look like it would belong in a pirate captain's treasure than anything else.MOD POST - GROUP 8
It had an almost far too specific design to it, though. And as soon as the safe was opened it was clear the key was enchanted to move by itself to a keyhole on the door that almost seamlessly blended with the wall, clicking in place and effectively being their way out. This was it, they managed to beat the game and find the exit. The room seemed fairly simple now that the mystery was gone, and with how the siren painting was propped up now it seemed like it was looking back at them almost with a smile as if telling them: Good job, treasure hunters.
