OOC note : All of Pea's word and action are all 100% for the purpose of her character- please don't take anything to heart.
time. October Waiting for @Charlotte WinfieldThe second she leave the library, Pea hurriedly walk back to her room. She is somehow excited at the thought of having an actual date.
Her first date this year. Well, it is not exactly confirmed as a date but she like to think that it is. Charlotte practically can't take her eyes off her; she presumes that she is interested, right? Ugh, who is she kidding? They would be lucky to have the opportunity to go on a date with her in the first place.
Pea arrived at her chamber and looked at the mirror, making sure every inch of her was perfect. She brushes her hair and touches up her makeup slightly, finishing off with more lip tint to plump her already perfect pink lips. After making sure that she is satisfied with how she looks, she grabs her purse and starts making her way to the outdoors. Although Pea is not particularly a fan of the outdoors, she doesn't lie when she said that the autumn leaves are as beautiful as ever this time of year. The falling brown leaves, together with the yellowish grass and autumn air, it is a remarkable sight.
Quite disappointing that Slytherins cannot enjoy the autumn air as often as the others since their rooms are located in the dungeon. Although the occasional squid surprise could easily compete with that, Pea thought sarcastically.
The albino arrives just below a large bush near the ground entrance. Stepping in the crunchy leaves does make her a little giddier; a companion to enjoy this exquisite air would make it even better. Pea takes out her mini mirror, gazing at herself again, admiring how the autumn lighting impossibly making her already gorgeous self even more stunning, "I never thought I could look even more beautiful~" Pea mutters to herself while still gazing in her compact mirror.

| xxx | Lottie was, admittedly, a bit dumbstruck. As soon as Pea was out of sight, Lottie had hurriedly tucked her books back in her bag and made a beeline for the exit. She wasn't sure why she felt so adamant on impressing this strange girl, but all she knew was that her outfit was far too drab for a date with a Veela. She had rummaged through her wardrobe for a solid half-hour, every minute passing like the rushing water from a spigot. Every single one of her sweaters suddenly looked tacky and worn, and all her skirts had somehow become too long or too short since she last wore them. In the end, she finally landed on a pair of nicely fitting jeans and a light sweater. Tossing a scarf over her neck for warmth, she made her way to the grounds to meet with the girl who had occupied so much of her thoughts. Lottie was obsessive about many things. Art, History, poetry, fashion. She did not obsess over people, nor did she find any value in lasting friendships. But this strange new feeling that overwhelmed her was not quite obsession in the traditional sense. It was an underlying sense of curiosity and desire so strong it made her chest grow tight and her pulse pound in her ears. When she finally escaped from the castle's stone walls, she felt as though she was breathing for the first time. Her eyes scanned the grounds slowly as she made her way down the stone steps of the castle and out past the courtyard. The pine trees that dotted the distant hills were bursting with color, needles shivering in an unseen breeze. Leaf litter was scattered about the beaten paths, crunching under Lottie's feet like cereal. And there she was. Despite the mid-day gray that poured down from the sky, Pea still had a halo of light circling around her pale figure and catching on her soft hair. She was examining her face in a small compact mirror, speaking quietly to herself. This immediately struck Lottie as odd. She stopped in her tracks a few feet away from the girl, gnawing at her bottom lip. The desire to whirl around and leave grew strong. | xxx |

time. October @Charlotte WinfieldShe's late. Pea thought for a few minutes, putting away her compact mirror back into her small purse. She fixed her hair for the final time and looked at the brown leaves swaying away just right near her feet. Could it be that she abandoned her?
Pea smirked in disbelief. That is impossible, nobody in this world would stood up someone like her. Even if they do, they would be utterly stupid. Why would even such a thought pass through her mind? Pea shakes her head and pats her cheeks.
And just as she had done so, she heard the crunching of leaves approach her in a short distance.
Pea tilts her head to the sound of the leaves. Stifling an eye roll, she smiled charmingly, "Look who finally shows up." Instead of sarcasm, a tone of delight filled her mouth, looking glad that her first date didn't end in humiliation. But Lottie does look a little odd, almost like she is a little hesitant about going near the white-haired.
Could it be that she spooked her, or perhaps she just happened to be stunned by how gorgeous she looked right now? Either way, seems like she has to be a little more careful with her next words.
"Are you okay?" Tone of concern sweetly came out of Pea's mouth; it is a very rare tone that possibly all her acquaintances would be shocked to hear. Pea steps closer to the brunette, with every step remembering the feeling she got when she was near her at the library. It is suffocatingly a very pleasant feeling she would only get by being near Lottie. "See, it is much better breathing the fresh autumn air, I am sure you would feel much better now, especially after inhaling the library dust all morning." Pea placed both her arms on her hips as she looked at the view of the orange trees and bushes. "I brought some snacks I stole from a few house elves, too. Perhaps we could have a small picnic."

| xxx | As soon as Pea's eyes met her own, Lottie was immediately unsure what had washed over her. Of course she was excited to see the other girl. Like a flip of a switch, Lottie was at once overwhelmed with a feeling of belonging. Of course Pea wanted to see her. She had initiated this all, hadn't she? Relief was nearly as quick to fill her. "Sorry, I was..." Lottie found that she couldn't conjure up a proper excuse. The truth seemed more sensible. "Getting ready. I wanted to look nice." The expression that melted onto Pea's face was just as disconcerting as Lottie's former hesitance, though with a stronger element of softness that had Lottie swaying. Her teeth snagged on her bottom lip, chewing softly as she watched Pea approach. This close, she could smell Pea's sweet perfume, see the light reflecting off her glossy lips, admire the dark shimmer of her eyes. Lottie swallowed thickly, looking up at Pea through her lashes. "A picnic sounds nice," she replied with little to no hesitation, before faltering slightly. "Sorry- you said stole? From the house elves?" Lottie was immediately aware of the judgement that had bled into her tone, and she had to resist kicking herself for the slip-up. It felt like such a natural thing to jump to, that soft bite of criticism, a trait she no doubt picked up from her mother. | xxx |

OOC note : All of Pea's word and action are all 100% for the purpose of her character- please don't take anything to heart.
time. October @Charlotte WinfieldThe second Lottie's eyes met hers, her chest ached. Was it her gaze that made her heart flutter a little, or how gentle her eyes get when they meet hers, a gaze that is very uncommon to see. Most people's eyes are always filled with jealousy, hatred, or even lust when they gaze at Pea. But Lottie's eyes when they met Pea's were kind and gentle. Even with a little fear flickering on them, it is still a breath of fresh air being gazed upon by someone who doesn't have malicious intent towards her.
"Getting ready. I wanted to look nice." Pea smiled, pleased that she put on a little effort before meeting her, "You don't have to do that, I think you already looks.. nice." The word is a little hard for her to conjure; compliment wasn't particularly one of her stronger suits, as she is usually the one who would receive them. But Pea wasn't lying when she complimented Lottie. There was a reason why she was taken an interest in her, although her fashion does need a little work.
Pea watched her intently while she finished every sentence. Her voice sounds very sweet, sickly sweet. "Sorry- you said stole? From the house elves?" The question slaps her back into reality. She has never been this enchanted by anyone before, she doesn't even understand what is happening to her body. Somehow being near her makes her head go foggy. "Ah yes. I was joking of course, I would never steal from house elves," Pea winked, and grabbed Lottie's arms, dragging her to a spot she had been eyeing. Nervous sweats forming on her forehead, she couldn't afford to be distracted. She has to bring her A-game into this. She might never get another chance to seduce another part-veela like her, isn't it?
On her way, a question formed in her mind, trying to fill the awkward silence in the air. "I am curious... You are a Slytherin, yes? most Slytherin I know would be a little bit bold and well.. a tad arrogant...Exhibit a." Pea gestures her hand to herself as if she is introducing herself on a stage, smirked at her small self-deprecating joke. "So you don't seem to be like them, or...like me. Understandably, that is a stereotype that people like to perceive about us, but I am curious if you also thought the same?" Lottie is quiet, enjoys reading, and a little bit timid, a not so Slytherin traits if she likes to admits. Of course, that is all based on her stalking today, so it might not be accurate at all, but she is still curious about what Lottie thinks of that. She thinks she could learn a lot about Lottie based on the response she will give her.

| xxx | Lottie had long stopped feeling any rush of warmth at compliments on her appearance, as the mundanity of the statement almost seemed more like stating a fact with awe than any true revelation. It also reminded her, quite painfully, of her mother. Short, rare mornings with a brush pulling over and over again through her soft hair as her mother listed off every single thing about her that was true to her Veela heritage. Still, she understood at least from a clinical perspective that a compliment was meant to make a girl swoon. She did not swoon, but she spared a gentle smile, the kind of practiced smile that had been trained into quality. The response was the harder part. She allowed a beat of silence before saying, quite awkwardly, "You do, too. Look nice, I mean." A rush of slight relief flooded through Lottie at Pea's clarification. There was a very loud part of her that said she would excuse the act of exploiting house elves for this girl, though she quickly shut that down. She knew all too well the consequences of losing principles for admiration. Though it was tempting. "Right, of course." Quite, quite tempting. Lottie allowed herself to be dragged with a soft gasp. She was at once struck by the elegant yet spontaneous nature of the other Slytherin, somewhat enchanting in nature. This odd blend of calculated words and abrupt shifts threw Lottie for a dizzying, addicting loop. She imagined, quite suddenly, that she very well may have fallen under some sort of spell. And then, Pea started speaking again, and the reality of it all came bleeding back. "I don't think you're arrogant," Lottie said quickly, before mentally cursing her forwardness. She bit her lip softly to keep from saying other desperate things, but the need for a reply came much quicker than her brief time for correction. Lottie shrugged slowly. "I suppose I'm ambitious. In a way. It's hard to say, really. The sorting hat works in mysterious ways." She could remember the day very vividly, sitting on that stool with the worn hat projecting its big booming voice into her head. Most of the other students she had heard were gunning for certain houses, but she recalled a certain sense of blank uncaring as she awaited her sorting. It was not something she cared for. The real trouble had been getting up in front of so many people. She had to constantly remember not to fiddle with her robes. "Had you wanted a certain house? When you were younger, I mean." | xxx |

time. October @Charlotte WinfieldThe girl with the white hair smiled. Smile in her usual way. Confident and.. a little smug. But there is something a little bit different this time; it looks a little bit softer. "Hm- Thank you." She replied to Lottie's compliment that isn't a very big surprise for Pea. It is difficult to constrain herself with words that are not straight out of her harsh brain, but she just need to hang in there in front of Lottie. She had to win Charlotte's heart in one way or another. However, she felt like she was the one who was starting to lose.
"I suppose I'm ambitious. In a way. It's hard to say, really. The sorting hat works in mysterious ways." Pea tilted her head in Lottie's direction, looking a little bit surprised. "Ambitious.. huh. I'll be sure to remember that." Pea leaned against one of the trees while looking at the beautiful scenery. Also remembering the day she was brought into Hogwarts, her little cheeky self. She was so restless to get into the spotlight, and remembered arguing with the sorting hat in her head. It was an entertaining memory to say the least. Memories where it was not tainted by grief were rare for her.
"Coming in I didn't really care which house I would end up in. Everyone would probably assume that I would be place in Slytherin right away, with my wizard-born blood, and fairly haughty personality." Pea folds her arms, thinking back on what would happen if she were placed in another house. "I just remember arguing with the sorting hat about how I wanted to be place in the most lavish dormitories." Pea chuckles a little. "That is probably why he put me in Slytherin to be honest." Pea took a deep breath, somehow darkness seemed to appear in her gaze, darkness or gloom, it isn't really clear. A slight smile still appeared on her face, but somehow her eyes says otherwise. Those were times when her aunts were still around. Oh, how she wished to go back to those times.
Sorry again for taking so long Lottie ! T^T

| xxx | Clasping her hands behind her back, Lottie hastily attempted to mirror Pea's casual demeanor. She was quite familiar with the unbalanced power dynamic between one who knew exactly what they were doing and one who was riding blind. While Lottie typically assumed the latter, it wasn't the most favorable of positions. Perhaps she was overthinking it. More likely, though, she was thinking just the right amount from avoiding making a fool of herself. Pea was smart, in a subtle way. She said things with intention, and Lottie was left to turn the words over in her head until they became an entirely new creature. "Right, well it's just... my family is like that." Lottie shrugged, gaze falling to the beaten path below. When she glanced back up, Pea had slotted herself against one of the trees, eyes grazing over the distant hills. Lottie felt her breaths grow short. Words to describe the feelings pounding in her heart fell short in her mind, leaving her completely at the mercy of Pea's strange mannerisms. At least the two had one thing in common. Expectations. Lottie's father had been a Ravenclaw, although her mother had always favored the promise of Slytherins. Selfish glory and all that. Though Delphine had never attended Hogwarts, she had immediately leaned in favor of the Slytherin promise, encouraging each of her kids to convince the hat to sort them in. Lottie hadn't had to do much convincing, although her indifference was also her curse. Just another thing that separated her from the other students. Lottie let out a surprised laugh at the sentiment. "Lavish dormitories?" She hadn't expected to find that so funny, but it was perhaps a relief that her body had loosened up enough to emit a small string of giggles. "I suppose you got the right house, then. It's... odd that I'd never met you before today." | xxx |

time. October @Charlotte Winfield"Right, well it's just... my family is like that." That is the first time she has said anything regarding her family. Pea wondered what they are like to have her respond the way she did. But ambitious families are common, especially in the house of the snake.
Pea observed her demeanor, noticing perhaps she still looked a little stiff. Maybe Pea is a little too confident, and it completely overshadows her when she was supposed to shine a light on Lottie instead.
"What is your family like? I never grew up surrounded by Veelas under one roof before. Well, since I lived in the Muggle world with my aunt basically my whole life. I imagine it's probably a lot to handle." Pea snickered just imagining the amount of competition and cattiness a bunch of Veelas would be. Not to mention the screaming. Suddenly she felt a sudden relief that she is an only child.
Pea took out a blanket she brought from her room and placed it just under the tree she was leaning against. She still could feel the crunching leaves and autumn cold breezes passed them, re-thinking her decision to go out instead of staying in under the warmth of the castle. "Come sit." She gestured Lottie to sit beside her.
Hearing Lottie's giggles actually improves her mood. She could feel the ice starting to chip away. "I mean, that is a completely reasonable request." Pea also started to giggle at the ridiculousness of her 11-year-old self. "Who doesn't want a lavish dormitory?" She shrugged jokingly while still laughing.
"Ugh although I hate being in the dungeon." Pea rolled her eyes at the thought of their dorms. "And you probably don't remember me since I took a break from Hogwarts for a year..." She is thinking whether she should tell Lottie about her father reappearance, or perhaps she should wait until Lottie actually ask about it.

| xxx | Lottie swayed back and forth as she continued the slow stroll with Pea, eyes flicking between the girl and the trail below. She was unsure when she was meant to look and when she was meant to avert her gaze, the subtle, unspoken rules of this dance still unlearned. She was going off instinct, allowing the other girl to lead. It was somewhat of a relief to find Pea so experienced. If thrilling. Questions of family always had her tense, though she couldn't seem to keep them off her tongue. When she had first come to school she swore never to speak of them, to perhaps lead a new life far from the Winfield legacy. But her rotten heart always seem to betray her brain. "They're very... distant. We all have our own things and we don't like to share them." She hadn't even realized that her lip had gotten caught on her teeth, and for a few moments she stood staring at the group, working her bottom lip like she could eat herself whole. Once she caught herself, she snapped back into the present, looking up at Pea. "I bet you have lots of stories from the muggle world. I'd love to hear them." Lottie had hardly noticed the blanket until Pea laid it out, inviting her to sit. Gently, she lowered herself down beside Pea, their proximity not escaping her mind. She tucked her knees to her chest and steadied her weight so that she could continue to watch Pea as she spoke. Mentions of her absence had Lottie's brows raising. "A year off your studies?" she exclaimed, sitting up. She couldn't imagine all the work she must have missed. "Why on earth would you leave for so long?" | xxx |
