Meeting New Friends

Before I came to Hogwarts, I loved to read. I would read every single day. I would read about history, I would read fantasy. I knew more stories than every kid in all of my classes combined.
So when I got the letter accepting me in Hogwarts, I was overjoyed. I had always read stories of magical kids, and always wished I could be one.

The first time I had free time at Hogwarts, I went straight toward the library. I got lost a few times, and had to get directions from a ghost several times, and a few prefects. But once I was there, I never wanted to leave. The beautiful wooden shelves, walking past all of the beautifully bound books. Thinking of all the stories that the books hold, the adventures, the history. Wanting to just grab any book and sit down and start reading. But for my first read at Hogwarts, I want it to be something special. Looking at all the different books, pulling a few off the shelves and reading the first page or two.

Getting a little frustrated that I could not find the right book. Thinking that they are all good stories. As I was getting tired from walking around, so I sat in one of the chairs. The chair was the most comfiest chair I had ever been in. Wondering if the chair was enchanted so that whoever sits in will think it is comfy. But right in the middle of that thought, I saw a girl. She looked familiar, thinking that I probably saw her in one of my classes. She looked to be a first year, with sleek black hair. She was shorter than me. She looked to be in the same predicament that I was in.
"Have you read any of the books in here yet", I asked the girl. Thinking that I should have introduced myself first.

Meeting New Friends
Lily had been looking for the right book for a long time now, so much time that it seemed like hours. Ufff... Why were there so many good books in this library? She could stay forever, and she wouldn't be bored out of her mind.

She went towards the Potions section, one of her favourite subjects. She found three books of interest to her. She went towards the Hexes and Charms section; she wanted to learn a new hex or charm, all by herself. There were more than five books that spoke out to her.

Tired, she went and plopped down on a chair. It was large and comfortable. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw a boy approach her.

"Have you read any of the books in here yet?" the boy suddenly asked Lily. She looked over to the boy who asked her. He was tall and muscular and looked a little bit familiar to her. Maybe they were in one of the same classes.

"No, not yet. There are just so many books here, and all of them seem great. I don't know which one to choose.", she replied. "What about you?" she asked. "You also seem to be lost in this huge mess of books."

"By the way, my name is Lily. Lily Clarke. How about you?" , she uttered.
