The young Gryffindor really did not want to enter this part of the school again. But he had felt quite awkward when he was there with Ruka about a month ago so he went and borrowed a random book about creatures from the place. After all the librarian had given him an evil eye and he just chose a book to not seem weird. The book had a great cover with a pretty illustration... so Alan had assumed that this pretty cover would offer him pages full of illustrations, but no matter how much time he spent just flipping through the pages aimlessly, he could not find a single one!

That was exactly why this place was so awful, because all it had to offer was words on paper and no actual art. Alan rather preferred learning from nature itself than having to read through so many words that would just make his head hurt. He had to give the book back though and he had procrastinated on it for long enough, because he did not want to see the librarian again. The only thing nice about the library would be its smell. Ink on paper just had something nice to it, even though it stood no chance against the smell of a forest or just nature in general.

The third year would rather spend his time outdoors, than stick to the four walls that restricted him. His mind wandered to when he met Flash and how they had spent a fair amount of time close to the forbidden forest; the feeling of adrenaline and the knowledge that what they were doing was technically not allowed as students weren't supposed to go near it. Not that Alan actually did it with the intention to play the rules, but he didn't get into trouble and neither did Flash even though they should have. Alan shook his head softly, knowing that the boy was fine again. Luckily the sting did not get infected or anything and it was only one. It surely would have been worse if there had been more than one mosp, that stung him.

Alan looked around as he showed to the librarian that he was returning the book, who replied with a raised brow and pointedly waving him away. Alan just rolled his eyes, trying to remember which section he had gotten the book from. He just stood there, staring at the cover in his hands; helplessness clear in his expression as he stared up at the huge rows of books.

Classes finished, homework done, special book at the last page and promptly fed, May couldn’t see any other better place than the library. She went to the library as fast as she could, tired but anxious to see more interesting books to read.
Her favorite place of the whole school was only five feet away, so May rushed to the front door. Waited a second. Took a deep breath. Pushed the door open.

She carefully entered the room, were hundreds and thousands of books were, in the shelves waiting for May to see each cover. She grinned and went to the librarian. There was a boy, was he a first year? He seemed to be asking for a book too? Welp, no matter, the library is for everyone. He gave the librarian a book, she raised an eyebrow and waved him away. She could see him roll his eyes. He looked more bored than-! Than what?
At first, May wanted to go and tell him why he was like that, that he seemed bored and If he wanted to read a book with her to comfort himself. But no....that would be to fast.....and maybe too kind.
He was in front of a large (maybe the largest shelves of the library). He seemed in teepee thought. May decided to go to him.

“Hullo, can I help you?” She asked.

Willow was beginning to tire of studying. She had never had to study and work this hard at her school back home. There was so much that she needed to know for every single class. She felt like her workload was equal to something a university student might go through, but she just needed to push through these last couple months before summer. She was unbelievably excited about returning home to her family for summer. While she had built a small family here, nothing quite matched the warmth of her family in Willen, England.

As she walked in, her hair was already tied back which was her study mode hairstyle. She was already in the zone, ready to struggle for hours as she completed her homework. Sometimes she would even make friends in the library while they struggled together, which meant she still had her friendship bracelets stocked and ready to go. She took a second to take a deep breath of the environment around her. The smell of old books was one of her favorites, it gave her a sense of joy and contentment that couldn't quite be matched by anything else.

The library, while stressful when she needed to study, was also so peaceful. The bright sun rays coming in through the windows, the familiar feeling of turning pages, the incredible accessibility to unlimited amounts of knowledge, made her feel safe and welcomed without a single spoken word. It was something that she cherished and planned to take advantage of as she aged through Hogwarts.

She took a brief look around, looking for an empty table to sit at which was few and far between when her eyes settled on someone who looked incredibly familiar. She had to think about it for a second and then it clicked! He was the timid Gryffindor that went to her friendship bracelet activity! There was also someone else with him as well, but she wanted to say hi anyway. She bounced over to him, giving a small wave to make her presence known as she approached. "Alan right? It's so nice to see you again! Also, I'm Willow! It's a pleasure to meet you!" She beamed up at him then turned to the girl to introduce herself. Now that she was up close he didn't seem like he was doing that great, she hadn't heard the other girl ask, so she asked again. "Do you need help with something?"

Alan must have been standing there for some time, just staring at the book he was holding in his hand. He was gonna return it on his own, he would just need to find the place where to put it. He wondered why those rows of books were not properly labeled aside from the small sign at the beginning of each row.

It was not like this place bored him, but he also very much preferred to be in another place at the moment, because this place with its high walls and only few windows seemed like it would be a prison keeping the nature away from him and having him only focus on printed words. He flinched slightly, when a voice spoke up, looking up from the cover as he turned to where the voice had come from."U-uh.... uhm", he stuttered slightly as he stared at the girl like a deer caught in the head lights, before staring back down on the cover. It was quite artsy and pictured multiple lead or graphite pencil sketches of different creatures; which is what had caught Alan's eye.

"Uh-", he was about to start explaining his issue about how he had no idea, where he would need to put this book, but before he could finish, a familiar face appeared and Alan's nervousness ebbed down a little as he smiled at the Hufflepuff in front of him. "H-hi, yes! A-Alan is the name!", he confirmed, finally stopping the gnawing on his lower lip as he smiled at both of the girls glancing between them, before shrugging helplessly.

"W-well I'm kinda looking for the creature section to return th-this book?", he explained, holding up the book in his hands to let them see title and cover. It did look like quite a complex read, even though the sketches just made the cover look pretty. Yes the book was quite thick and heavy and the title hinted on it being on upper-year reading level. Which, if Alan had known, would explain the lack of pictures in the actual book.

May was still waiting for an answer. Then, she saw that the boy, was a third year, for she remembered him from the great hall, in the gryfindor table.

When finally the boy saw her, he only muttered “Uh....uhm” and then a “uh-”. May could only smile, and wait for a answer.
At first, she thought the boy didn’t want her help, but she could at last understand what he meant to do. He wanted to explain to her.

She was about to ask him if he needed help finding a book, but a girl appeared into the library. May had seen this girl in the Hufflepuff common room, but she had never talked to her.
She talked to the boy, and told May her name. (Which was a beautiful name, it was Willow).
“Nice to meet you Willow, I’m Moonstar, May Moonstar.” May told the Hufflepuff .

It seemed as thought they knew each other, and that made May more relived. At least someone could.....help her understand him.

“Hullo” May said to the other Hufflepuff. “Looking for a book?” She asked.
May had understoood that the Gryffindors name was Alan, and he merely smiled at both May and the other Hufflepuff.

“W-well, I’m kinda looking for the creature section to return thing-book” said Alan.
Welp, that was another case of shyness, that May had to resolve.
“Don’t worry, we can help you,” May told the boy. She looked Willow. She hoped the girl had understood her, and that she would help looking for the section.

She was grateful to see another helpful person within the library, both just wanting to help out. But she was also fascinated by this hefty book. It's cover pulled her in, she gently took it from Alan's hands to quickly flip through it, frowning that there weren't pictures inside a book that he mentioned was about creatures. How are you going to just talk about creatures without pictures. She visibly pouted. "There's no pictures in here... that's so sad." Something she had loved about a lot of the wizarding books was that there were a lot of illustrations because it was such a complex and visual world.

"How can you teach about creatures in a book without pictures." She sighed, slowly leading the way towards the creature section, hoping the other two would follow. She had a very vague idea about where the section might have been. She turned to walk backwards and talk to May, "Hey do you know exactly where the section is? I have a... general location but other than--" before she could finish her sentence her legs collided with a chair that hadn't pushed in sending her tumbling to the ground. She pulled the book close to her chest to protect it, which meant she landed full body first tangled in the chair that she took to the ground with her, rather than her arms.

She laid there shocked for a moment before starting to laugh at the absurdity of what had just happened.

Alan furrowed his brows slightly, when the first girl mentioned that they could help him. They could? It would make him happy, as it meant that he could leave this place again. He usually did not enjoy feeling as disoriented as he felt at this moment. Row after row of books and every aisle looked the same, towering over him and not letting him find any points he could use for orientation. However the third year was glad that Willow seemed to share his sentiment about the the book not having any pictures, because as she called it, it was quite sad.

"I... I don't think it was really about the c-creatures 'n' stuff and more a-about evolution of them or whatever...", he muttered, slight disappointment in his voice about the book he had borrowed. He wondered who would ever want to read through such a book, even if it did not have any pictures in it. He slowly followed behind Willow, as she began to navigate through the aisles of the library, as if she knew them by mind and maybe she did. Maybe she just liked to be here and spend her time reading or doing whatever you do in a library; not eating or fun stuff was all that Alan knew! It usually was quite a silent and uneventful place.

But right as he finished the though, he heard the sound of a chair being knocked over, the crash resonating through the aside from that quiet library. A few heads turning into their direction; curious, annoyed, worried all of the expressions you could have in such a situation were present. Alan quickly hurried to Willow's side, holding out his hand for her to take, worry evident on his face, as he looked down to her. "Merlin, W-Willow! Are you alright? Can you stand up?", he exclaimed in a hushed whisper, hoping that her fall had not brought any damage to the young Hufflepuff girl. "Did you get hurt?", he added just to make sure she was fine.

Yet when she started to laugh, Alan's eyes widened slightly, still worried he kept his hand outstretched to help her up. At least she seemed to be doing fine, or she would not have started laughing . So that was quite the relief for Alan. However her laughter got them even more attention and that attention was mostly negative. "Shhh", he heard someone hiss from the other side of the book shelf, yet Alan could not see a face, as the countless amount of books were in the way, making a clear sight on the other person impossible. Alan could only huff at that and slightly shook his head, they could be at least a little less sensitive, after all Willow could have gotten hurt here!

Alan glanced over at May, to make sure she followed them here and was still with them. If she decided to part ways that would also be okay, but maybe she actually knew where the book in his hand belonged to. The book that was even more heavy, now that he was holding it in one hand only, as the other hand was occupied since he was still standing there, offering Willow his assistance to make it easier for her to get off the ground.

May Was growing pretty tired of searching. She looked as thought she Was up to anything, but no. She lo ved the librar y, but searching the perfect place for a book was not her thing.

"I wonder where it is," she said to her friends. She was sure the y where tired Too.

She saw Anderson pick up the book, and flip through it. She saw that there wasnt any picktures in it, and said that it was sad.
Mayo said that it wasnt bad, a book without pictures. It made your imagination grow.

She knew the y where about to disagree, but she wanted them to knew her better. She was a total bookworm, and she was produce of it.

Her new Hufflepuff friends faces May, to tal to her. She couldnt finish her sentence, because she collided into a charro that wasnt pushed and stumblen full body into the grownd.

“Are you ok Willow?” Asked May, extending her hand to the fallen Hufflepuff. She laid there for a few moments, until she started to laugh. May laugh es with the Hufflepuff, shaking her head si de to side. Welp, that head to happen.

May was still grinning, and looked at the librarían. She knew that the librarían was about to laugh, so May Heard her typical "SHH" and she hoped that Anderson wiould stop laugh so hard. Even tho that fall was quite funny.

Suddenly, May saw the section they where looking for. “Hey! Here it is guys!” She whispered to her friends. She picked up the book, and puntead it there.

“Few! At last we found it” said May. “Would you guys like to study toghether?” Asked May. She real y wanted to stay with them, even tho there misión was finished.

Her laugh was quickly stifled as someone yelled a "Shhh" from beyond the stacks of books. If she could see who it was they would've been getting a nasty look from her, that's for sure. They weren't even being that loud and she just fully wiped out. If people pushed in their chairs, this wouldn't have been a problem. May plucked the book out of Willow's hand to go put it back and Willow gladly reached out and took Alan's hand to help her up. "Thanks for the help Alan!" She would definitely be bruised tomorrow, but it was funny so almost worth it in a weird way.

She pushed in the chair, smoothed her robes back out, and regained her composure before turning back to Alan and May. She had already put the book away and had come back to them offering to be a study group. "I did come with the intention to study transfiguration, that's my worst subject. I'm always looking for study buddies so I would love to join you guys. I promise I won't be tripping over any chairs once I'm sat in one." She giggled a bit, finding a table and setting her stuff down on it, and her bag falling to the ground with a heavy thump. She obviously had more than just transfiguration to catch up on.

Alan shook his head slightly, smiling nervously as glanced over her to see whether she was in any physical discomfort, "M-My pleasure", he noted, letting her know that she had no reason to thank him for such a simple deed. He had only helped her up after all, probably anyone would have done it.

Alan chuckled lightly, when Willow announced, that she was not doing quite well with transfiguration. He himself was quite good with it, even though the professor was quite strict and always expected them to be hungry for more knowledge. "I c-could help with that perhaps, b-but I would rather move this to the study room instead", he explained to the Hufflepuff, as he stumbled over his words. "Th-The library is far too stuffy for me to a-actually be able to concentrate!". It was no lie, he disliked how stuffy this place was and how there was not a bit of nature in it; well, no nature that was still alive at least. Just countless rows of book and paper and more books and papers and not to forget the shelves!

"Wh-what were you gonna study for?", he asked the other girl, who had introduced herself as May before, wondering whether she also liked to study here. Alan knew why some people liked this place and he could never judge them for it, but it was not his favored place at all. "I k-kinda just went here t-to return the book...", he admitted to Willow,
a sheepish look on his face.
