She offered a picnic, a picnic in February. That sounded... well... cold. Sounded like fun, but sadly he would not be able to make it. He knew better. He let out an awkward laugh. "That is not a good idea," he replied. "A deviant like me and a nice girl like you." Victor would be very much against it, not that he was going to throw blame at the Ravenclaw. Marion would have loved it, she had no girl friends and he refused to help her with her make-up. A man has his limits, his was eye liner unless he went through an emo phase in his teens.

"We don't do the whole Gryffindor-Slytherin thing."

She assured him. "Hehe... maybe that's true," he conceded. She would totally hate him if she knew him. Shame. Not that he was accusing her of having an issue with Slytherins, in fact he had not thought of the fact that he might be disliked on the basis of his house. He was nervous for a plethora of other reasons. "My friends..." he had to think of a nice way of phrasing it, he did not want to blame them. "Are not the social type."

The light from her eyes dimmed for a moment and a brief ebb of panic washed over Victor. He was trying to be insightful and smart, show that he was taking an interest and paying attention but he was no Ravenclaw. Dammit, I am sorry! He mouthed. She dismissed it with uncertainty. It did not matter if she came from a witch family or not, she was magical and that was what mattered.

Yes, there was a sense of elitism when it came to pure-blood purity. For some it was a sign of social status, they were idiots of course. There were two worlds - magical and non-magical and they were separate for good reason. He was happy that he had the spark of magic that his parents had, that he could be a part of their life. If she did not have magic, her life would be different as well. "Doesn't matter, does it?" He finally put thought to words. "Being a wizard is great and you're a witch. Who cares if you're a designer witch? Who needs to know?" He shrugged.

Since the errand is ending soon- Mildred leaves the thread <3

Thank you so much for Roleplaying with me and going along with everything <3 hope to see you around some other time! absolutely love how your character acts and is very well made :)- super sorry if it got a little boring here and there! still learning how to do things- but it's been fun!

Soon, the hall was remarkably quieter than it was before- the loud buzzing of conservations soon dwindled. Mildred looked around the hall, still in shock at how pink the hall was she probably won't ever forget this. It seemed that the majority of her peers were heading off, although that should be for the best- a lot has happened, with Professor Bercegeay still off dealing with lord knows what. She supposed that'd it wouldn't be too rude if she left without thanking the professor for the wonderful event- Mildred knew she didn't have all day. Not of course, she didn't want to spend more time here talking however sooner or later she knew she'd have to hit the books.

She would remember this event as it will be remembered as her first-ever event here at Hogwarts, she was thankful for everyone who made the errand so much enjoyable than she thought it would have been when she first arrived. She could not forget Sola and Teiki of course, Mildred scanned the room for them both- it seemed that Teiki was still with her partner and they seemed to be well. She wished both of them well, she couldn't find Sola although but she was sure that she was still here. She looked at Ethen, also thankful as well- as he helped the conversation flow well she was still learning how to truly "fit in" and everything, she just might attend another errand.

The pure mental image of santa being scared of Ethen was pretty funny, Mildred couldn't help but smile at that. It was just Ethen was so short- no offense, sure he would perhaps hit a growth spurt later on but compared he was just so much shorter and that was funny to her. "That could be it!" actually- thinking back onto it a popular tradition was to often give cookies to Santa, "or actually I think I know what happened- Families often leave cookies for him and well- maybe he's scared and considers you his cookie rival!" huh- she might pay to watch that, Santa fighting some kid over cookies- although she was sure Ethen would win.

Glad that well- Ethen didn't consider herself a total embarrassment, she thanked them. He did take the time to point out his clothes, to be honest, she completely forgotten about his clothes Although, she noticed that he'd called her "little tomato" which was completely embarrassing. she would come up something similar to call him although the mere thought of names coming to her mind was just plain embarrassing. "Huh, that could be it- maybe this year he will come to bring you something!" Based on his mention of "borrowing things" it seemed like Ethen was the type of kid to get into a lot of trouble, which was the complete opposite of her childhood and how she acted. she made a mental note to herself to if she were to ever see him again, ask him about the items he'd "borrrowed"

Regarding his secret spells, she wondered what he had up his sleeves. "Huh? When will I be ready?" she questioned. Wishing she had her wand with her- she'd totally poke him with her wand, but of course, she didn't want to cause any scene right now- although she already had caused one.

Thankfully, Hogwarts grounds were pretty cold like how it was back home- she didn't have to adapt to any drastic temperature changes. "Yeah! I'm sure you would love it!" Mildred thought about all sorts of trouble Ethen would get into with the cold, she shuddered thinking about the endless snow-related pranks or fights. When he mentioned that she felt like he'd catch on fire at time her eyes widened in shock, "FIRE? must have been really...hot" really, she might not want to switch living places with him- she probably actually melt.

Smiling at his comments, he was definitely a sweet kid. "Thank you!" noticing the time, she decided that it was time to head out. "I had a lot of fun, thanks for being my partner" she gave him a quick hug, "Best of luck with everything, I hope to see you around" with that- Mildred left and study.

Quinn turned into his usual warm self again. She let out a soft sigh of relief. Her words did reach him. They managed to calm down his inner rage. As he gently wiped away her tears with the same hankerchief she had been using to cover up her cheek, Nico felt a slight panic. Just now, she noticed she didn't try to hide who she truly was anymore. Or not as hard... A soft blush colored her nose into a peachy red as he watched her. Her bottom lip quivered slightly. He was so gentle. His sad, dark side made his happy, warm side even warmer and lighter. Like a sunrise after a rainy night.

'O-Of course I forgive you! I-It's not something you can deal with yourself! I-If you... have no one elses opinion.. Of course you won't realise you aren't alone... or-or something..' She blushed even more. At some point she wasn't sure if she was making sense or just trying to prove something. 'Q-Quinn.. The pink in here is.. kinda hurting my eyes and.. with my.. skin being exposed, I'd rather not stay here. Alot happened and some fresh air might be a good change of scenery.' Carefully, the dhampir stood up and gently grabbed hold onto Quinns finger pulling him from his chair. She wasn't strong but he got what she tried to do. Slowely making her way through the small crowd of people that was left, Nico guided the Giant out of the pink room.

Permission given by @Alan Noble to Godmod his character
Alan seemed to be quite happy that Griseldis approved his goal, she watched as the Ravenclaw boy's cheek turned slightly red then pouring himself some tea to drink. Griseldis also poured herself some tea then continued to tell him her thoughts. He then replied that it was a fun job in his opinion and was really glad that she supported him. And then she also learned that his father worked an opposite job to his mother's job who used to deal with explaining to Muggles or more accurately speaking, convincing them that it was nothing more but a common accident. "Your father also has a very cool job, Alan.", she said and took a sip of her tea, she truly meant what she said. All those years she only knew about Muggles' jobs and a few wizarding jobs she knew like how her father who worked as a Potioneer and her uncle who was a Magizoologist, it was so fascinating to her to learn about other different kinds of wizarding jobs.

When he complimented her that brave and admirable she was to her friends so often, somehow, she couldn't help but feel the heat rising up from her cheeks. Perhaps she wasn't really used to people giving her such high praise, however, she knew he was being honest with his words. Then she giggled when he said how the Auror job suited her well, he even told Griseldis that he could imagine her looking cool wearing a long trenchcoat and with her wand out ready to face any evildoers. But what she really didn't expect was that Alan got inspired by her and might change his goal and rather be an Auror too, believing that they could be a dynamic duo in the future. Oddly enough, Griseldis could really picture that in her mind. "That does sound really wicked! Being Aurors and fighting against the evil criminals together sure is an amazing goal to achieve.", Griseldis said, looking at Alan with a bright smile.

Later, she noticed some students were starting to leave the tea party. Since the Flying Professor left and everyone pretty much had the freedom to decide rather they wanted to stay here or not. Griseldis looked back at Alan and decided that perhaps they could go outside to get some fresh air, "Hey, Alan, I think we can leave the tea party now and go to our usual spot at the Great Lake, what do you think?", she asked and Alan nodded cause the tea party did drain a lot of his energy and his anxiety was about to come back if they continue to stay.  Going outside to a more private place and relax was what he needed right now.

Before leaving the Small Hall together, Griseldis quickly went to pick some cookies and wrapped them in a napkin so they could at least enjoy some snacks by the lake in peace. Together, they left the area and walked towards the Entrance Hall.

"It could be," he agreed easily, "but so can anything else with the right mindset."

He relented easily enough though to the others wishes, not pushing the topic and instead listening intently when she moved on. Giving her a simple nod to her question despite how he thought it a bit silly because really at this point who hadn't?

"Of course." he said plainly, urging her on yet despite the obvious topic he hadn't been quite ready for her actual answer. "Rubber?" he questioned slightly confused because wasn't the hard exterior of cars...made to protect the drivers? Though...If he actually thought about it her idea kinda made sense actually? Rubber could be pretty tough but not nearly as deadly or destructive as the metal in an accident. If done right...

Drawn out of his musing rather quickly he drew his gaze from the table, finger stopping its quiet tapping against the tables top and he hadn't realized he'd been doing that. He eyed the other, the corner of his lips pulling back into a small smile at her choice of words but restrained himself from teasing the other.

"Alright," he yawned, lazily covering it with his hand, "I guess it'd be rude to fall asleep here anyways."

Despite his words he didn't actually move for a moment before finally he actually forced himself up with a sigh, "ugh, okay lets go. For real now before I actually fall asleep..." he huffed, moving away from the table towards the exit only stopping for a moment to look at the other expectantly.

"Really though, that idea of yours could be way safer," he offered smiling wryly, "at least it's not as dangerous as mine." he teased, moving towards the exit when the other was by his side.

@Astrea Soleil Neptune

The soft hand of Astrea in his was all the confirmation he needed. They certainly weren’t close, definitely not close enough to even consider relationships, but even in this playful tryst, Piérre was determined to make it more than worth Astrea’s time. Gently closing his hand on hers, Piérre began to tug her with him through the more crowded areas, determined to find an area which was more open for a dance. This being the small hall, it was difficult, but eventually he found a spot near the doors connecting the small hall to the great hall.

Letting Astrea go and dashing a bit in front with a tight spin, Piérre flipped out his thin, white yew wand, tracing the image of a pair of runic legs in the air before him, the tip of the wand angled towards himself. This plan would only go well...

With purpose, and a bit of a laugh, Piérre incanted. ”Tarantellegra!”

It was something of total and utter nonsense, that which took place after the effects of Tarantellegra began. It was something like a scene of a movie, and unlike how many reacted to the effects of the dancing feet spell, there was something special in the way that Piérre was able to almost control its effects, allowing it to play with him just as much as he played with it. He wasn’t an extreme dancer, but he had something in mind. It was like a scene from a movie. Mary Poppins, the role of Bert, played by Dick Van Dyke...

The penguin dance.

All these events transpired more or less. It was a bit of a playful dance, an expression of a child’s mind that was once brought to life in the elegance and the comedy of one of the greatest dancers and comedians of all time. It even ended with Piérre offering a careful waltz, still under the influence of his dancing feet, a quiet ending to a tumultuous party, a chance to relax and take in the sights of others mingling and getting to know one another. It was a beautiful sight, even if the pink was a little too much to bear sometimes. A soft fairy floss would have been delightful, mixed in with some gold and silver details, but even with the shortcomings, anything could become a world of awe and delight.

All it took was the imagination. The infinite depths and splendor of it, and through darkness had the potential to be prevalent, there was something in its depths which always beckoned light to return to the dark places. Though the light was elusive, having the capability to seep through your fingers, it was always present, it was always findable, and it was the greatest treasure one could ever hold.

Piérre may not have been able to hold the light, nor was he able to convince it to stay with him all the time, but there was something he was determined to do; that determination in helping others to see that gently glowing light as well. The light which would always be there at the end of the tunnel, no matter the strifes which could have possibly taken place before.

In the midst of the offered waltz, Piérre laughed softly. “Sorry if that first outburst was a little much. I always admired Dick Van Dyke and his dancing.” He started with an apology, ”I’m also really sorry if my energy was ever too much. I usually get told that a lot.”

Piérre wished that he could dance forever. There was purity in the action of letting your body do whatever it felt was right. It could be shoddily done, it could be as elegant as a ballerina or a ballerino, it could even be freelance and fun. If he was given the choice, he would go through his entire life in a perpetual dance, for there was everything in the world to dance about. It was freedom, it was expression, and it was passion.

”I’m glad I got to know you.” Piérre told Astrea brightly. ”I was a little worried about the pairings, truth be told, but I suppose everything has a reason for happening, right?” Finally, the charm wore off and Piérre finished the dance without the help of the spell, just as fluid and free as he had been with the charm, talent that had been refined and polished from ghost dancing with himself in a mirror, practicing movements from old movies and shows that depicted such passion and gentle movements. Finally, after resolving, Piérre bowed low to Astrea, signifying the end of the dance in the traditional fashion.

Smiling as he came up, Piérre beamed. ”It was a honor to get to know you. We should talk again sometime!” Piérre tipped his head back to the crowd of other chatting couples. ”Want to get some tea? Crumpets?”

The boy let out a small chuckle.
"That is not a good idea. A deviant like me and a nice girl like you."
Jo raised her eyebrows. Deviants? Nice girls? If he hung around her any longer he just might find out that the lines between them were blurred a little bit more than he seemed to think.
"My friends... are not the social type."
"No worries, then." A bit disappointed, but not surprised. Not many people would willingly go to an outside picnic in February, especially with people they didn't know. Oh, well... that was less work for her as well. Wait, that wasn't right. She still needed him to get to the others, and find out what all of them had to say. Perhaps she'd have to change her methods a bit.
"Doesn't matter, does it? Being a wizard is great and you're a witch. Who cares if you're a designer witch? Who needs to know?"
"Thanks." She hoped a smile would suffice to show him that such a statement meant a lot coming from a pure-blood wizard. It was much better for him if he didn't know too much about her own heritage, though. One word too many could bring an end to the fragile peace between them.
"I'll keep that in mind, but sometimes it isn't the safest subject to talk about. Especially recently. And as for me being a good girl... hmph! I think you'll find that I'm much more willing to get my hands dirty than you think." Her voice was playful, nearly but not quite to the point of flirtation.

Students had begun to file out the door now, perhaps sensing that the party was drawing to a close. There was a small voice of panic inside her, one that was going hurry up, hurry up, if you don't hurry up he's going to leave to and you'll never get what you came her for. Victor was going to be a bit tougher than she thought, and sometimes in these cases honesty was the best policy. She wouldn't overshare - just give him enough information to interest him. That would work, right? Maybe not. She steeled herself and took a breath.

Moment of truth. Moment of truth. Oh dear. Moment of truth. Rafa would probably kill her if he found out she was blabbering to a witness.

Jo set her teacup on a nearby table as she lowered her voice, avoiding eye contact with him.
"You see, I'm part of a certain group... a club, if you will. We know a bit more about ...the case than we probably should. I think you know which case. I can't say any more at the moment for obvious reasons, but we have reason to believe that something...strange is going on. I know that this is going to be really difficult for you, but we really, really need your help. I can't promise very much in return but it's a safe place for you to talk about what you saw. If you don't want to, I understand, but we need your help to find the real murderer and..."

The color drained from her face. Stupid Jo. Why had she said that? She should not have said that. In the midst of so many people, too. She needed to get out of here, quick. Before things got any worse.

"I'm..I'm sorry. I said too much. Way too much. Anyway, um, just think over what I said, alright? You can, er, just come find me when you're ready. Or ask for "Jo". Gosh, I'm so sorry. I should probably leave."

The witch hurriedly began to gather her things (there wasn't much to gather anyway), muttering to herself.

Well, I was trying to be social. Find a pretty girl, chat her up. Something like a Valentines Day Tea seemed like a sure fire way to meet someone. Well, someone was a bit broad perhaps, my expectations were not incredibly high. The introvert in me had screamed from the start that it was a bad idea. That they would find me, know who I am or figure it out.

There was always this nagging sense of doubt in the back of my head that told me to back out, to run away. That it was dangerous. That everyone was dangerous. That she was dangerous. When she invited me and my friends out, I knew that was not possible. That it was simply something that could not happen with my friends. It was again too dangerous for us. A single slip up and our shared secret would be spread all over the school, our lives a living hell.

I did not know that she already knew, had I known I would have run. I should have known that I could not attract anyone's attention on my own merit. It was the serious expression, the fact that she had set down her tea and the fact that she averted her gaze that first told me that something was wrong. She could not even look me in the eye.

"You see, I'm part of a certain group... a club, if you will. We know a bit more about ...the case than we probably should. I think you know which case. I can't say any more at the moment for obvious reasons, but we have reason to believe that something...strange is going on. If you don't want to, I understand, but we need your help to find the real murderer and..."

All of the color drained from my face. My limbs went numb and my eyes wide. My heart started to pound as if someone was beating on a drum. The teacup would fall from my hand and shatter on the floor. The porcelain broke into a dozen of so sharp, white shards. The luke-warm tea would splash on the floor and splash onto my toes and pants. I didn't even notice, just like I did not notice how my hand shook.

"...you know?"

If I was skittish before, now I was down-right terrified.

"I don't know what--"

I took a step away from her, my eyes the size of dinner plates and my pupils so wide the greens of my eyes had gone black. The room seemed to be incredibly bright,

"--you're talking about."

I stumbled as my heel hit the leg of my chair and I caught myself on the back.

"I-I" I stammered "I s-should have guessed."

A bit self-depreciating, I would have felt like I was punched in the gut if I was not so scared.

"I'm..I'm sorry. I said too much. Way too much. Anyway, um, just think over what I said, alright? You can, er, just come find me when you're ready. Or ask for "Jo". Gosh, I'm so sorry. I should probably leave."

She backpedaled, I hyperventilated while she hurriedly grabbed her things. I did not have anything to grab as I stumbled back and away. I gave the girl her space to let her leave. To leave myself, to simply slink away.

Interacting with @Tyranni Whitethorn

Spirit guides? Vikings? Andrew's eyes lit up with intrigue, hearing Tyranni talk more about her family's history. She seemed to know a lot of things, sounded very wise, and had this aura of mystery that set her apart from other students – at least other first years – Andrew had met before. Not in a bad way.

Bearded dragon? Andrew listened as Tyranni went on about her pets. That was a type of lizard right? Or iguana? Andrew wasn't too familiar with reptiles, aside from the ones he had occasionally seen in zoos. Dog breeds though, he knew more about.

"I've always wanted a dog," he replied longingly. "My parents won't let me though. Dogs are 'too messy' for them. Need more time to look after and babysit when you're away. Not like cats. Cats can take care of themselves. I like cats too, but you can't really take them for walks or play with them outside. At least not my cats. We live in the city though, so we don’t have much room for a dog anyways. But when I'm older, I'd like to get a big dog. One with pointy ears and wolf-like. Funny, I like German Shepherds and Huskies too, out of all the dog breeds. But I like mutts too." He wouldn't say no to a mutt, if it was a big type and had the pointy erect ears and looks of a wolf. One could dream… But when it came down to it, he'd settle with any dog so long as it was the right fit for him or circumstance brought them together.

Having been raised in a Muggle household, Andrew found it particularly interesting to learn from other students about their home lives, those that grew up with a wizarding parent. It was only unfortunate that he couldn't relate to most of it. He wondered what it could've been like for him to have a dragonologist as a father. It would've been fun to grow up taking care of magical creatures.

"I have a friend, Emma Hill," he told Tyranni. "Her dad's a dragonologist too. Emma's third year, by the way. She's in Ravenclaw. Me and my family were friends with her and her family way before me and my family found out that she and her dad's side were wizards," he explained before catching himself mid-breath, realizing. "Yeah that's a whole other story." He chuckled shyly, though he wouldn't mind telling Tyranni it, if she had the time. "Actually Emma and her parents were the ones that gave me my Hogwarts letter and showed me around Diagon Alley and everything." He was lucky in that regard, compared to most Muggle-borns who hadn't rubbed shoulders with wizarding contacts prior to starting out on their wizarding journey. If not for the trust Andrew and his family had built with the Hills over the past several years before receiving the Letter, Andrew doubted he would've mustered the courage to go alone to Hogwarts at all, even with his parents' approval. Since then, the Hills had become a second family to him, Emma looking out for him like an older sister away from Stacy.

"My dad is English, mostly. He says some part of his dad's side is German and a part of his mom's side is Scottish, but they're pretty much all English, I think. My mum is half-Filipino, half Korean. So, I'm half-Asian, just to keep it simple." Honestly he didn't know much about his family's lineage, since it never really occurred to him before to question his parents about it. "My parents were both born in England. My mum's mum – my grandma, but I call her lola – she's Filipino but she was born in America, but then she married my grandpa, lolo – he was also born in America – and they moved to England for…whatever reason." He shrugged slightly. "Lolo died before I was born," he said with a tinge of sadness. Not because of any personal attachment to his grandfather. Rather it was the manner of death that troubled him. "Mum says it's because he drank too much." There was a second of silence before he went on. "My lola lives in Northumberland. She likes living by herself, but she'll usually come down to London to visit us for summer or Christmas," he said with a smile.

"My mum doesn't have any siblings, but my dad has three." Andrew held up a succession of fingers, in order of birth. "Uncle Dean, my dad, Aunt Cynthia, and Uncle Baylor. Aunt Cynthia is married to my uncle Thomas, and they have five kids – Olivia, Alex, Eric, David, and Sophia – my cousins. They live on a farm in Somerset, about three hours from London. I love going there." His eyes brightened up. "Usually it's for summer or whenever I have vacation, or whenever there's birthdays or holidays. We like to go swimming in the lake, or fishing – though I'm not entirely comfortable with putting lures on hooks." Call him sensitive, he never had the heart to skewer the cute little live minnows onto hooks. Usually his cousins did it for him and handled the fishing part while Andrew would sit back and watch the spectacle. "They have cows, chickens, pigs, horses, two Border Collies, lots of barn cats, and a donkey."

"Stacy takes lessons at an riding center a few minutes from our place. Usually she goes there Wednesdays and weekends. She likes competing. She does show jumping and cross-country. Sometimes I'll go to the riding center with her, mainly just to watch and take care of the horses. Muck out stalls, feeding, grooming." To some, it might seem odd for Andrew to actually enjoy the mundane tasks in caring for animals, but if he was bored at home, at least the barn chores gave him something to do. In some ways it was relaxing, just being in the company of horses. "I don't mind riding though. Just trail rides is all. I'm not big into going fast and jumping over things. Never fallen off a horse and I plan on keeping it that way," he chuckled.

"But whenever we're at our aunt's farm, we like to go riding. My cousin Olivia is also horse-crazy, but she's not into competing like Stacy is. She likes trail rides like me. And my other cousin Alex, he likes photography and video-making. Usually he'll come riding with the three of us and take pictures and videos of our ride, so that's fun."

Seeing that there were a few people leaving the Hall already, Andrew suggested, "Hey, you wanna meet Pin-pin? We can go to the Common Room and I can bring her out and show you. We can talk more there, if you like."

Andrew exits thread.

Andrew was quite the talker, but it was a nice change for once. Everyone else seemed to either keep to themselves, or only really talk to those they already knew. And being a second year, it was nice to have someone who could share their wisdom about the upcoming year so Tyranni knew what to expect.

Absorbing all the information in, she sat and listened as he spoke about his family. She was quite intrigued when he mentioned that other student here, Emma, had a father who was a dragonologist. Tyranni was usually familiar with many of the other dragonologist, but she did not recognize the last name Hill. She would have to make a note of that and send her father a letter asking if he knew of the girls father.

When he suggested leaving the party to go back to the Common Room, Tyranni glanced around to notice many other students were leaving. Plus the Professor still was not back after taking those students to the infirmary.

"Sure. I would love to meet her! Plus place is starting to look more and more devoid of fun. I'm going to grab some of the snacks and tea on the way out! Hopefully no one will mind. Plus the professor isn't here anyways to say anything."

Tyranni stopped a grabbed a handful of treats, and followed Andrew out of the small hall and back towards the Slytherin Common Room to continue their chat.
