»»————————- ♔ ————————-««"Oh yea! Thanks!" Oakley's entire form perked up at the mere sight of the supposedly Sparkless-made shiny brick in a way that would not seem strange on an enthusiastic dog, happy even as Astrea responded with a slow nod. An accurate description, an enthusiastic dog with a fascination for legos and slight awkwardness, demonstrated even more with the unceremonial dumping of the contents of the paper bag, pieces of legos spilling out like rocks.
Cute. A pang of protectiveness came over her, thudding solidly into her internal wall of 'no-you're-being-too-impulsive' that protected the blueblood from making foolish choices. The boy was likeable nonetheless, she hoped that he stayed that way.
"Come join me! It's fun!" The energy the brunet exuded was surprising, but apparently common by the bouts of relapsing excitement Astrea had witnessed over the course of the past few minutes.
Astrea hesitated at the attempt of smoothing things out, the strangely vibrant colours printed on the shiny plastic book jarring and blocky from where she stood. Ah, but what had she to lose other than a mask of apathy and the quiet of her morning.
With a quiet hum of acknowledgement, Astrea walked over to stand next to Oakley and look over his hoard of bricks. The lot was apparently arranged, colourful neon in a semicircle of hues divided by type.
The aristocrat took up the shiny book, flipping through the strangely smooth paper decorated with neat ink that could not have been made by hand and precise drawings with cut lines like steel. A wave of confusion washed over her as she stared into it, the unfamiliar instructions drawing her face into a blank slate of incomprehension. “What is it supposed to create?”

⋆-----❂-----⋆After a moment of slight hesitation, Astrea walked over with a hum, quietly standing behind Oakley as he finished sorted out the little bricks. He looked up as she picked up the shiny instruction manual and idly flipped through the awkwardly shaped pages, looking more and more confused by the second. "What is it supposed to create?" she asked.
"Oh!" Oakley plucked the booklet from Astrea's hands, closing it and pointing to the front cover with a flourish. "We're making a fishing hut! It's one of the less popular builds, but I think it's cute!" he explained happily, "The manual tells you exactly how to construct it using the Legos!"
He gestured to the neat semicircle of colorful bricks, then flipped the book back open, pointing to the glossy, computer made models of the incomplete build. "They print these out, so they're mass produced and have little chance of human errors! That way, we can build a flawless fishing hut with no problem!" He set the booklet on the table and flipped it to the first page, the colorful images labeled with only numbers and bright, oversaturated arrows.
Oakley glanced back at Astrea and pulled out the chair beside him, patting the seat in invitation.
"Wanna try?"

»»————————- ♔ ————————-««"Oh!" The slippery book was taken from her hands without a warning midway as she readied to flip a page, the sudden absence causing her hands to float without a purpose for the brief second of surprise before she put them down once more.
"We're making a fishing hut! It's one of the less popular builds, but I think it's cute! The manual tells you exactly how to construct it using the Legos!" A noise of acknowledgement left her as she tried to pair together the mental image of an actual fishing hut with the bricks of nonsense in front of her.
"I'd suppose." She sounded somewhat reluctant, the idea of creating things with such an instrument when you could simply transfigure something into a figurine of whatever the 'Legos' believed was a fishing hut.
Well, then again, the product were Sparkless made. Without magic, their ideas of fun would be drastically different from what she traditionally knew as amusement in the Neptune-Chou household. "They print these out, so they're mass-produced and have little chance of human errors! That way, we can build a flawless fishing hut with no problem!" The brunet made a gesture toward the legos on the table and connected them with the fake-looking images upon the front cover. Little chance of human errors- and yet what about the errors of whoever was producing them? Not of magic, perhaps of the strange technology that had advanced in leaps and bounds?
Oakley flipped to the first page and placed it upon the table, the white pages filled with numbered images and garishly coloured arrows. Her expression drifted into one of confused disgust, a generous dollop of repulse at the pages apparent. Good lord, the oversaturated colours were practically neon with how bright they were and clearly aimed to catch the eye. Well, they certainly did that, did it very well.
"Wanna try?" Oakley's attention fell back onto her, one hand pulling out the high-backed chair next to him in clear invitation.
"Hm. Alright." With hesitant motions, she slid into the offered seat and slid the manual closer to her, trying to make sense of the wordless instructions. There was no explanation for anything in words- how were children younger than her supposed to understand the mess of objects?
