Attracting the Wrong Attention
Wave after wave of fresh pain made it hard to concentrate, but the boy-- Alan-- was being nothing but helpful. He implored Flash to take care in case anything got worse. It was unlikely he would do so, but he nodded along anyway in order to placate his worries. Even though they had only just met, not to mention while Flash was doing something extremely foolish, he seemed to be genuinely worried about his well-being. Flash knew people like this existed, people who always wanted the best for everyone. It was an extremely vulnerable way to be, but Flash didn’t mind taking advantage of the kindness as it was right in front of him. He needed it.
Flash was able to finally stand on his own, though the pain had moved from being an isolated pain where the sting had taken place, to making his whole body feel out of order. He tried blanking it out, removing himself from physical sensation. For brief moments, it would work, but it was hard to sustain. He at least was able to concentrate on what Alan was saying, as he was still trying to help even more. He wanted to help him cover-up his mistake. Could he expect him to always be so useful?
”Oh, thank you, yes.” Flash answered quickly, taking the robe from him and donning it. Even though he was smaller, the robes were all rather big, so it still fit just fine.
Flash wrapped it tightly around himself as he began to walk to the castle, encouraging Alan to follow along so he could collect his robe again once they were safely inside. He hadn’t realized that he had broken out in a cold sweat, and the sudden warmth of the robe gave him shivers. He noticed the smell-- like freshly cut grass, dirt, and flowers. He must have spent a good deal of time outside for the smell of the outside to invade his clothes. And in the pockets-- something small… pieces of candy? The robes were lined with red, so at the very least he knew that Alan was a Gryffindor.
Useful allies to have. Flash had already said thank you so many times, but he wondered if Alan understood his gratitude. He couldn’t have known how important it was to him that he didn’t get in trouble. Even one mistake that got back to his parents would be a mark on his entire career going forward. He didn’t want them to think he still couldn’t shut up and behave, he had grown past that.
”Alan, I hope I can pay you back for this. Don’t hesitate to call on me if you need something. I’d also just like to get to know you better sometime. When I’m in a better state of mind.”

Attracting the Wrong Attention
Permission to Control @Flash Holmwood was given!
Alan smiled slightly, when the other boy finally was able to carry his own weight one again; not being dependent on the support Alan was giving him. It meant it was not quite as bad. Either that or the boy was just good at masking his pain. Alan did not want to dig deeper though and just saw it as a win, that the boy might feel well enough for now. He did seem to be quite in pain though. The Gryffindor shrugged off his robe and handed it over to the other student, knowing that it probably would fit him well; as school robes were usually a bit over-sized to allow free movement when casting spells and such.
Alan watched as Flash put on the Gryffindor robe, making Alan grin slightly. By now Alan was sure the boy was no Gryffindor; he would have at least memorized him a little bit or maybe not.... knowing himself. "Don't worry about it", he said, shaking his head. He was just happy he could be of help in such a situation. Alan liked to help, but only if he supported the cause. Yet here he was breaking a rule to keep another student safe and he was not even aware of it. Alan was helping someone else get away with a rule break and he was quite sure, that this was not the best thing to do in a rule book. However Flash only had broken the rule to protect other students from some creatures, so he was sure that this was enough of an excuse. The Gryffindor was not quite as worried about it, as his thoughts might have him seem. He was over the fact already and just focusing on getting Flash back to the castle without being caught.
Alan was quite pleased when Flash said, that he would like to meet again and that he would be there to help Alan, if the need occurred that Alan needed someone else. "I will keep that in mind, th-thanks Flash, that's quite a kind offer", he replied. Alan had heard such offers before, that he could go to someone, if he needed them. But he never heard it to be some way of pay back, so Alan was not quite sure how to handle the situation. "I would like to get to know you better as well, b-but we really should get you back to the castle so that you can cool and rest your arm!", he mentioned as he began to follow him right at his side.
Alan was not surprised when he saw them make a turn towards the dungeons, as they reached the insides of the castle. Alan had not thought about which was the other kids actual house, but he was sure there were reasons as to why he was in the house, not that Alan cared much about sorting or anything. But it was just another fact he had learned and would keep in his memory for now.
A they reached the stone wall, Alan glanced around curiously. He never actually had been down there; aside for his potion classes. But he never ventured further than the classroom doors itself. "It's here? How do you even get in?", he asked the other boy, glancing side-ways to him as he took back his robe and slipped it on. He was not asking with any intention, aside from genuine curiosity.
"A password", was the Slytherin's short reply, which Alan supposed was enough of a reply as it answered his question enough. Once he had his answer - even though it was a short one -, Alan would wish him a nice day and advised him to take some rest now, before he took his leave, right after Flash had stepped through the wall and out of Alan's sight.
