"I think I'm not" He replied, chuckling a bit. He loved magical creatures as well, he has always been interested in vampires, werewolf, unicorns and so on. He wishes he was a fairy when he was young. Or maybe a vampire, muggle girls love that stuff.
Darius looked at her with a smile, laughing as he saw her reaction.
"Really? Soap? That sucks" He said with a big smile on his pale and freckled face.
"I got sweat once! It was so horrible!"
Then he opened his book as the lesson started, looking through the typical first-year spells.
"I'm currently trying to save some money because... Well, you never know. Even if I'm always very tempted by the magical sweets they sell! Everything's so good... Hogwarts' meals are really good too but... Umf, I'm always hungry for snacks!" He said, almost drooling as he thought about Chocolate cakes, Cauldron Cakes and Chocolate Frogs. But then he cleared his throat, putting himself together.
"Anyway... We should start the lesson" He said, picking his wand up.

"Oh yeah, sweets are the best!", Fay mumbled silently to Darius as the class started.
She looked at the teacher with a great respect, thinking how great wizards and witches these professors must be here . . . in must not be easy to become a teacher at such a school!
Fay opened her book at random page as professor was explaining the introduction to the class. Accio, Alohomora, Wingardium Leviosa . . . all the spells sounded and looked very complicated. Unsure about her memory and her nature to forget everything, she suddenly felt insecure if she is going to be able to remember all these spells.
She then looked away from her books and list of spells to return to reality. The teacher was just demonstrating some off the spells.
"Wow", she expressed her amazement as she stared at the teacher. With a newly gained confidence she grabbed her wand and prepared herself to be taught all these amazing spells.

Darius watched as the teacher explained all those spells, their wand movements and proper pronunciation. The lesson was so full of new things for the young boy, it was actually a little difficult for him to follow everything.
He tried to take notes anyways with his quill and a parchment, writing everything he understood from the lesson.
Suddenly, the teacher called his name, making his head lift from the parchment. Darius stared into the teacher's eyes, waiting for an order.
"De Amoris, why don't you try the Levitation Charm I've just explained and demonstrated?" He asked the boy, even though that was more a command than a question.
Darius gulped slightly, he didn't feel ready at all.
"Of course..." He replied, unsure.
"Fine. Pick up your wand, shake and strike. Come on" He said, referring to the quill.
"Yes..."
Darius firmly grabbed his wand, staring intensively at his quill. He sighed heavily, then he pronounced the spell:
"Wingardium Leviosa"
But nothing happened. Maybe because his hand was shaking a lot.
"Try again De Amoris. Have a steady hand" He said the teacher with a harsh look.
"Wingardium Leviosa" The boy repeated.
Finally, something happened: the quill started moving, then it started flying slightly up to the sky, reaching the ceiling.
A giant smile of joy and satisfaction appeared on Darius' face.
'Oh my God! I did it!' He thought, staring at the flying quill.
"Very good De Amoris, I know you have a big potential, just like your brother" The teacher said.
Darius' smile abated a lot after that sentence. He didn't want to be compared to his brother anymore, he even promised himself to not do that again.
After that, the teacher looked at Fay.
"Nyxe, your turn"

Fay watched Darius during his spell casting and when the quill started to softly levitate, she could not help it but silently clap under her desk. Then she mentally prepared herself for giving it try before the class, so she felt confident when the teacher addressed her. She took a deep breath, softly squeezed the wand in her hand as if to make sure she is going to be able to feel the magic, and pronounced the spell.
"Wingardium Leviosa", she calmly said while point at the little quill lying in front of her on the desk. The quill started to slightly move, but it did not start to levitate nor fly.
"Miss Nyxe, you must concentrate more on the spell you are casting", the charm teacher remained her with a smile. Nyxe tried to keep her mind calm and regain focus. She looked at the quill again, grabbed her wand more tightly and clearly pronounced:
"Wingardium Leviosa!", and then she felt the magic in her wand and just watched her quill fly up and up, more up, right up until it touched the ceiling of the classroom.
"Very nice, thank you for demonstrations De Amoris and Nyxe. All of you, now please try to practice this spell by yourself", explained the smiling professor as he moved back to his teacher desk.

Kaiser flickered his wand once again "Wingardium Leviosa" he called, the quill got in the air and stood there for some good three seconds maybe before it got on back on the table, it was clear that even when he was making progress he was still not mastering this charm just yet. He sighed as he could see around him others were just like him, close but not quite there yet but what made him sigh was the fact that all of them were aided in some way by their classmates but he? He got on the back of the classroom and his only classmate near him was sleeping.
He moved his cherry wood wand once again "Wingardium Leviosa" he muttered once more and as the quill levitated he focused on keeping it there for some more time but just as he was passing the five second mark the girl by his side woke up, making him loose focus and dropping the quill on the table once more. Kaiser sighed and looked at the girl, her already messy hair seemed more crazed by her sudden waking and her sleepy red eyes made him think that it wouldn't be hard for others to mistake them for relatives given their similar traits, plus they were both Ravenclaws. The boy turned to the girl, not mad but not too happy either "slept well?" he asked. He sat next to her because she was of his house, he did this in most classes as a way to get acquainted with the people at his house and it usually worked, but with her had been different, she got asleep almost as soon as he sat, leaving him no chance to introduce himself.
He waited a moment for an answer before speaking again "its really surprising you knew what charm we are practicing right now, given you were asleep for most of the class" he said, probably sounded like some sort of scolding but he meant that as a compliment really "most people seem to have trouble though so don't feel bad, look they were not doing great at first but now are improving greatly" he said pointing at the boy and girl who got late and were sitting rather close to them, probably close enough to hear him.

Lora was a little startled hearing Kaiser next to her not knowing he's been there the whole time. Blinking away her surprise she trys to figure out what he just said only getting around half of it right. "Oh thank you I try my best..." She looks him over seeing his red eyes she immediately looks at his neck. Not seeing what she was looking for she opens her book bag and pulls out two blood pops. "Last two already?.." Sighing she unwraps one and starts to snack on it as she trys again. "Wingardium Leviosa." At this the quill floats and for a good couple of seconds it stays up. "There just needed a little snack.." She turns back to Kaiser and offers him her last blood pop wanting to be friendly.

Kaiser looked at the girl all tired up and taking out a couple pops from her bag, one for her and she offered him the other one. He took it smiling "thanks" he said at the act of kindness but as he saw the wrap "Blood pop" it read, he shrugged, he didn't want to be disrespectful or anything but he was sure that was a taste he didn't like. He looked back at the girl a little unsettled that she would carry that kind of snack with her though he had learned better than judging people "I guess I'll have to save it for later, you know we are in the middle of class and all" he said with a nervous smile.
The boy looked back at his quill and noticed how the girl almost managed to get on par with him on her second try, maybe even surpass him in just a couple more, that was interesting. The boy put the blood pop on the table at the same time he figured out he had not introduced himself "I'm Kaiser by the way" he said as he turned to her only to notice she was devouring the snack already.

Lora tries the spell again as he looks at the blood pop. This time it stays up for another two seconds. Slumping back into her seat she wishes that she practiced on the train ride there and didn't just read about them instead. She stops and looks at Kaiser before giving him a small fanged smile. "I'm Lora Boswell just call me Lora... Nice to meet you.."

Kaiser smiled at the girl as she introduced herself, though he could not not notice the rather large fangs she had, not trying to be a bother he only replied politely "it's a pleasure Lora" he said as he tried the Wingardium Leviosa once again, this time he was able to pass the five seconds, even making it move to some degree as he moved his wand. Not trying to keep his classmate in silence he turned to her again "so you had a hard time sleeping last night or...?" he asked casually not trying to look nosy but still wanting to get some answers as they chatted.
