Zephyr was trying to sit still, but it was futile when all he wanted was to shout at both his teammates to warn them about something and to boo the other team for his own satisfaction. Even with that desire, he didn't do anything and just sat there while gripping the handle of his broom, his jaw set into a grim line. He kept his eyes focused on the action above. Even though he was not playing, that didn't stop him from observing and studying what was going on with the players. Every action the chasers made, even the seekers and the beaters. He could see the way they were all searching the sky, looking for the Snitch and bludgers and quaffle, whilst he was clenching his teeth. He couldn't take it anymore...

He was already sitting on the edge of the bench when he saw the Seeker of the other team (Althea), they can't just let her get comfortable, can they? “Hey, Althea!!! Watch the clouds, not your broom!!!” he shouted at the top of his lungs, “Too slow! You’re missing it!” Every move she made, he had something to say, loud and clear, just being annoying enough to throw her off. "You call that fast??! Boo!!!!” He was uncharacteristics of him to be this way but if this was the only thing he could do for his teammates, he's going to make sure he's doing it well.

He watched every move she made, every search for the Snitch. He didn’t care if anyone else noticed, he wanted to distract the Seeker and get inside her head. He knew it was childish and probably stupid, but if he could make her second guess herself, then maybe the snitch would slip past her. Every word he shouted was aimed to rattle her, and from the bench, he was a weapon as any Bludger out there. He's also just as competitive as his teammates. Right now, this was the only thing he could do for them.
OOC Note: Apologies for the trash talk Althea, just playing the part :)

Tatiana had been trained for a lot of things: impact, weather, speed, the kind of cold that couldn't decide if it was fog or rain. What she was not trained for, unfortunately, was that a blatcher was coming at her full-force before she could fully reposition her broom. The moment Percival Rocier had slammed into her slide, it was like her ribs lit up in pure white heat, a flash of pain followed by the weightless, sickening jolt of her losing balance.

Her fingers scraped for the broom handle, missed, and then suddenly, the sky was above her and the ground was slowly swallowing her whole. She didn't scream, Tatiana never screamed. Not in training, not in matches, not even now as the wind punched her air out of her lungs. She just clenched her jaw, bracing as the world was spinning so fast the drizzle turned into streaks.

She heard Livia's voice faintly somewhere from above: the penalty lap, the casual commentary, the note about her being awake; and then, the distinct crack if a spell being cast—Stupefy.

The red beam had caught her square in the shoulder, she felt the impact—a cold, numbing force—but it didn't finish the job. It had slowed her senses but didn't take her under, if anything, it snapped her just a touch more awake, making the fall sharper, clearer—lucky her.

The pitch rushed up to meet her—Tatiana twisted midair, using the last of her momentum to angle her fall. Pain had bloomed across her back and shoulders as she hit the muddy ground, rolling through the slick grass until her body had finally skidded to a stop near the outer rings, her breath punched out of her in one hard exhale. For a moment, she stayed still, staring up at the grey, miserable drizzle.

“Fuck,” she muttered under her breath, not loud enough for anyone to hear, not performative, but just an honest assessment of the situation. Her limbs were throbbing, her shoulders screaming, her vision pulsing; but she was conscious. Angry—yes—but conscious. Tatiana pushed herself up onto one elbow, her teeth gritting against the ache.

She didn’t look for Rocier. She didn’t look for anyone. She didn’t need pity, or gawking teammates, or applause for surviving the fall. She just needed to get her bearings.

Mud was streaking through her palms, her robes were soaked, and her chest was still burning from the hit, but her expression had remained steady, cool, unreasonable the same look she wore before every game—now sharpened by the humiliation shimmering under it.

Blatching or not, penalty lap or not—he got her, cleanly. Fine. She'd remember it.

Tatiana exhaled once, slow and controlled, before letting herself fall back against the grass, eyes closed, breath steadying as she waited for someone to call the med-witches over. Her body hurt. Her pride hurt more.

Time: 10pm

The match had started some time ago, and it had gotten Lily excited. Lily rarely had this much fun, especially since she had always thought that Quidditch could be boring. But after seeing an ongoing match? No chance. She was cheering and hooting for her team mates.

Some people on her team were booing as well, mainly for Althea, the opponents' seeker. No doubt, she was skilled, but no one could see her get comfortable, could they? She found Zephyr, he was her classmate and fellow housemate, also a part of the same club. He was also booing Althea.

Ufff. That was Tatiana, her teammate falling. She skidded down on the grass. That must have been a bad fall. She couldn't help but feel pity for her, after all, she was her teammate.

Then, she saw Althea in the air, looking around for the Snitch. She decided to boo Althea too, she couldn't let her team lose, could she? "BOO!! You are going down Althea!", she said. Every movement of Althea's was being watched carefully. She added, "If that's fast for you, Althea, I seriously don't understand you."

She noticed Althea's expression, maybe her words were going in her mind? Good, she needed to make sure that their team, the Wonderbolts, had to win. She decided to boo together with Zephyr. She went near him, and without even introducing herself, she asked.

"Wanna boo Althea together?"

Sitting on the bench, Rosaline gripped the edge of it tightly, leaning forward. Her eyes were fixed on the players. The match would start in any minute. With the whistle sound, all the participants took off like rockets into space. She focused her attention on the opponent, Seeker Elena, whose movements were clean and swift. Yet that was the least thing she wanted to see. Rosaline shouted some bad words; in her case, the sentences were already rude. “Hey! We’re going to win this! Not you. I hope you cannot find the snitch.” She made sure she booed her opponent loudly and clearly.

After that, she watched the game with all her mind space. Right now, this was the most important thing in the world. The quaffle grabbing was insanely tense. Their opponent got the quaffle several times, but Maisie blocked them all. Also, Amelia scored 20 for them. Her fingers drummed on the bench because of excitement. A smile appeared on her face. But things went the other way she had imagined quickly.

Her good friend, Leo, was protecting their Seeker, Althea, another friend. But suddenly, a bludger was coming for Althea, so Leo took the ball for her. Rosaline’s eyes widened. Everything went into slow-motion for her. The crush was so intense she thought she could hear Leo’s bones crack. He fell down from his broom. With that height, she didn’t think he would be safe and sound at all. Still in shock, after all the Quidditch games she had played and watched, she was still not used to the degree of violence from the sport. She knew the potions and the spells could heal almost all the diseases and wounds in the world, but the pain was real and lasting. Knowing this from her last unofficial Quidditch experience, she winced as she thought of that. It was not a great memory.

Another brutal scene had happened. A bludger had hit Lucille, her dear friend on the other team. It snapped Rosaline out of her head for now. In the corner of her eye, she saw Fred come to the pitch to be a replacement player, but she had no time to talk with him. Clutching her Comet 180, she realized she needed to get herself together. For her team, and for her friend.

Nerve racking. The two best words that could be used to describe the situation. Some of the people she was versing had played before in official games, but her practice had been… limited. It would be a challenge. Hopefully a fun one.

Her breath dancing speedily in her chest, she looked around hoping to calm down. There were a few of familiar faces, some unknown, some pleasant and one which she had had a rather ugly argument with. Guilt crossed her for a moment as she thought of the heartless words she had spoken. It was of great hope that the other girl had forgiven her. But now was not the time to think about the past. It was time to focus on the future

Amelia’s next actions seemed to happen in such a blur that there was no time to process what was happening, only react. The Quaffle grab. No success. Heart pounding in her chest, she prepared for the first goal to be scored but there was a block. They hadn’t lost the lead yet. It seemed to be unusually quickly that suddenly young Amelia gained possession of the quaffle. Her first attempt failed, but soon she was back in the game and she used the one thing she had always used no matter what. Persistence.

Then she was blocked once more. Self doubt flooded the Hufflepuff’s vision, she couldn’t let her team down. She wouldn’t. And with all the effort that the shaky child could muster, she tried. And she scored not once, but twice.

A huge beam of sunlight hit Amelia’s face, as she relished the momentary glory. The tickling in her stomach had paused, as she pulled her focus even further onto the game. Being the competitive one she was, she was going to try to win. And enjoy it while she was at it.

Percival’s heart began pounding the moment Tatiana slipped from her broom and fell down towards the ground. He really hadn’t meant to hit her that hard. He had only wanted to nudge her off-course, maybe throw her balance for a moment so his team could gain an advantage. Instead, he was now the reason that she'd be out of this game.

“Oh no...” he muttered under his breath, though no one would be able to hear him over the rushing streams of wind.

Then he caught Livia's voice: “Rocier, penalty lap.”

He winced in response, but let out a soft sigh of relief when he realized that he wasn't in a lot of trouble. And thank Merlin that Livia was ready to help Tatiana before she'd hit the ground and be seriously injured.

Still, he felt quite guilty, and it made him sit uncomfortably on his broom. Despite his feelings, however, he knew he needed to focus again to win this game with his team.

As he rounded the far end of the pitch during his penalty lap, he exhaled and tried to calm the jitter in his chest. It was just a game, he reminded himself, and he knew he shouldn't take it too seriously. People got knocked around all the time, right? But he just couldn’t shake the thought entirely...

He really hoped Tatiana was alright.

Verity's comment had honestly caught him by surprise, primarily because he was used to people more often ignoring him during these sporting events. But with Aodhan being a blabbermouth, the interaction was more than welcome.

"Well, yeah," he confirmed, presenting her with a grin far too wide and with far too many teeth. "Imagine how lame it'd be if it wasn't extreme. You can't 'politely' knock people out the sky, or whatever."

Honestly, doing anything "modestly" or "gently" sucked the fun out of life, and he surely wouldn't have joined the Gryffindor team if they had played in such a boring manner. In fact, he wouldn't have taken an interest in school sports period. But such a thing wasn't the case, and he was grateful to experience the ever-changing spectacle that was Quidditch. Sometimes. Mainly when he was winning, but that was beside the point.

Anyhow, his teammate then saw it fit to seek out guidance from him. Him. Suddenly, Aodhan was sitting up straighter, maybe even puffing out his chest if one looked close enough. Clearly, he was doing something right if she could so easily see how competent he was.

"Young Padawan, you've come to the right place!" he announced in sheer glee before devolving into a mess that... sounded a bit more like a stream of consciousness. It was honestly sound advice, detailing how to best grip a quaffle, how to follow the referee's eyes for... reasons, and he even made comparisons to broom racing, recalling their time in the practice match together. However, he spoke so quickly that it was debatable his "tips" could be digested. Oh well.

Anyhow, not only did Verity prove his team heard the rallying cry for violence, but they also managed to deliver. While talking, he bore witness to an enemy beater falling out of the sky, having taken a rather nasty quaffle to the torso. And while it would be far more appropriate to show some degree of solidarity, especially because he knew what that was like, Aodhan really couldn't find it within himself to be "appropriate." Instead, he cut himself off to start cheering away, clapping like he just saw the greatest sport play in the century.

"Yess! Let's go! Okay, okay, now do that like, ten times over! One for each person they got!" he shouted into the air, voice booming as usual despite his small stature.

He only stopped once Vera prepped to take off, giving her a thumbs up with a confident smile. "No problem! Go out there and make me proud, my student," he chirped. Though, most of his optimism stemmed from the fact there weren't burly seventh years ready to kill them all. Surely with that out of the picture, she'd be just fine.

Charlotte blew her bangs as she watched her teammates down from her broom. They weren't exactly doing well, and Amelia, from the other team had scored 20 points. Tatiana had fallen from her broom. She felt bad for her teammate. Falling was hard, and she had taken a bad fall. She hoped it didn't hurt too much. Plus, Charlotte's clothes were kind of wet and she wanted to brush some of the water off her broom. Despite everything that wasn't exactly going well, she was hopeful it would turn out to be a good game. She watched people boo at each other, particularly Zephyr, who was booing at Althea, the other seeker from the other team, and she saw Lily joined in.

Charlotte considered joining in too, it was really tempting, but she was a bit too far away from Althea, and wanted to be ready if the quaffle came by. Keeping her eye on the quaffle, she brushed the water of her broom, watching as the droplets fell to the ground. She was having a lot of fun, and she wished she could stay in this moment forever, just watching everything happen.

She crossed her fingers, and hoped that Elena would be able to find the snitch before Althea. They were both really skilled, and they seemed like naturals. Anyways, not only was it her first ever quidditch game, but she was also pretty competitive when it came to, well, everything. So, she hoped her team would be able to pull things off. And it was still really early in the game.

She shivered again. She didn't like the cold too much, but the qudditch was taking her mind off it, so it was alright. She sighed happily, and got ready if the quaffle came her way.

With the gloomy dripping weather lending the dungeons an even chillier aire than usual, Ripley didn't think he'd make it through the week if he didn't go outside and touch wind. So he donned his Quidditch robes -- deep black with a satin sheen and green threads shimmering throughout like parseltongue whispers with every brush of fabric against itself -- and his broom, a vintage Comet 180, and headed out of doors. If anything, he'd do some laps and pitch a few quaff shots and if he got bored, he could get a bludger out of the shed and knock it around. When he stepped through to the practice pitch, to his pleasant surprise, there was already a pick-up game in action. He'd heard that this was happening, but some fragrance of potion or plant fact must've knocked it out of his head.

Before he could leave the ground to do his lap drills out of the game's way, one of the original players remembered that they had to feed their pet and vanished. Needless to say, Ripley was drafted as a backup seeker on team Pegasus. Pushing his glistening locks out of his eyes, the boy casually caught up with the flow of the game until *CRASH* Ripleys eyes grew wide!

Inadvertently he said aloud to those around him: "Did Perce just completely rampage that keeper?! I didn't realize he had that kind of violence in him!" Indeed, was this the same first-year he'd met practically quaking on their second day in school? Hogwarts really did bring out people's many selves!

"Way to go, Perce! Worth the lap!" He shouted into the moist air.

Next to him was a girl with long brown hair and a face that was all angles. Ripley turned to her, "More of that and match will be ours...Nurse'll be busy, though!"

In a blink of an eye, the previously calm gray-washed morning sky succumed to madness. Both her teammates and oponents alike zipped through the sky, streaks of white trailing behind the fastest of them, while Sabrina herself stayed put. Fingers tight around the handle of her own broom - how strange to finally call a broom her own - she opted to pressing the soles of her feet to it too rather than letting them dangle, ready for action.

An action that came sooner rather than later, as expected; in a very unexpected way. As if to mimic the chaos above, most of the second string players sprung into action. Straining their vocal chords they booed and cheered loudly, seemingly atemping to influence the sky based game from the solid ground below. This behaviour was probably to be expected, but due to her limited experience, it still earned a confused raise of brows from the small raven.

Tilting her head to understand their exclamations better, she registered something else too - a motion blurred object nearing her proximity, an object of her interest: a bludger. In a swift turn, Sabrina adjusted herself to a better position, bat already in swing and - Two dull bangs sounded as two wooden bats hit the magical sphere, sending it flying in a direction of the older seeker. The impact knocked a dazed, breathy chuckle out of Sabrina, her eyes wide from what was to happen and what had just happened - a situation akin to one she experienced back in her first unofficial quid.

This time, however, the bludger didn't collide with the intended player, instead burrowing into a boy (@Leo Noxley) she recognized as one from her flock. Wincing, she watched his body hit the ground, unsatisfied with, and even a bit regretful of, her shot. Inflicting pain wasn't her intention, but alas, this was how the game she had signed up for was played.

"Ah, bloody hell - that could've worked out better. Your swing was still deadly" she complimented the girl hovering nearby (@Graci Laren).
