Book Name: The Garden of Evening Mists

Short Synopsis:ReducioSet in Malaya with the timeline spanning from pre-WW2 and post-WW2, this book follows the story of Yun Ling, a survivor of a wartime camp who later takes on the role of a judge, and how she navigates the world with the trauma she holds within. Yun Ling will find herself an apprentice of the Japanese Emperor's previous mysterious gardener, Nakamura Aritomo, in order to design a memorial garden for her sister.
Personal Opinion: Definitely something for the older end of the YA (12-18) spectrum due to heavy topics and themes that require a bit more maturity of thought and emotion to digest. Incredible book with the ability to vividly portray not only a realistic development of a traumatised character, but also with strong writing that nuances and challenges your views about different sides in history through the book.
TLDR: Nuanced historical fiction novel! Really good for history nerds and people who love flawed, but realistic and compelling female MCs!

This is a very refreshing book because it's completely new, completely unpredictable, and very beautiful.
And if I can say, you start out each sequel book thinking "alright! More of my favorite book! I bet I can predict how it will go!", but that is not the case. That is never the case. Each book is special, its own book, and its own adventure.
I would say this book is rated M for mature because of the foul language, mischief, references to adult content that does not happen on screen, and death.

Well Oh shit the main character dies almost in the begining of the story, but this is more about what happens after Lily dies, and what afterlife is like. But also she wanted to work in hell as a costimer service, but you can do what ever you want, and say what ever you want. because this isn't earth anymore. And she doesn't have a manager, because she is the manager. And she falling in love with a deamon and she lives in heaven. And you gonna fall in love with a character named sharkie that will come in the book.
