First Lesson
It was Fiona's first flying lesson and she was so excited she could hardly stand still. Her father had been on the Slytherin Quidditch team during his tenure at Hogwarts and her older brother had already become an amazing flyer for his age. She knew the chances of getting high in the air were small for a first lesson but her brother had told her in the great hall at dinner the other night that she may get to hover some. She had already managed to call her broom up to her hand with ease. She learned all of the safety rules they had to go over and memorized the movements to get low and down even though she had never actually been up.
It was finally time to mount her broom. She listened for the teachers command and she was up. She was doing it! She was hovering. She was not the highest in the class but she was not the lowest either. She looked around and noticed she may have been the most steady in her group. It was all too soon before they had to descend again and her feet were back on the ground. She could not wait for her next lesson so she could go higher and further.
