i got to like the 600-700 (haha 67) mark and was like "... man, this is gonna be a long post!" little did i know this was gonna be the longest post ever lmao.... probably the longest single post ive ever done! and its all at scouts expense

i felt like i needed a lot of words to explain what scoutie was going thru.... babygirl was having a full on breakdown lolol
if anyones also writing a character with a mood disorder ive left some thoughts and tips below..... teehee vvvv

i was trying really hard to showcase what a real proper mood swing looked like, with scout getting set off by something that should've been minor- her and casey banter a lot so even with the severity of the situation she shouldn't have lost her mind the way she did! she fixates on the one thing she has a problem with and becomes completely unreasonable and unaware of all other stimuli, literally only focusing on the one comment he makes vs the like 30 other things he says lol
in my own experience, the anger is really fast and hot, so scout spirals literally the second she processes what he's said, rather than letting it build up over the course of the conversation. and then she hypes herself up more and more (being represented by "voices" telling her to give into her impulses and cause harm- which she does, pushing him down and yelling at him), until it blows up.
i alluded to scout biting casey, but i also wanted to showcase that she would be genuinely disgusted with herself if she actually did! while she thinks shes a mean and violent person, she's really not and hates hurting people... even if they do deserve it! i wanted to show that when u get a mood swing, u usually do things that dont align with ur morals because ur so angry and ur brain isn't giving you the "calm down!" chemicals.
and once she's done yelling, she's completely tuckered herself out and has no more energy to be angry....! in my experiences, it can take hours or days for a swing to wear itself out but i mitigated the effects for the ~~plot~~
