The Grindylow
There was something so peaceful about the lake in the early mornings. She can see under the lake outside her common room window but nothing beat watching the ripple of the waves. She had not yet seen the squid in her short tenure at Hogwarts yet but knew with certainty someday she would.
As she was beginning to head to the great hall for breakfast some movement caught her eye. On the shore underneath a willow tree was a Grindylow caught in some reeds. At first she froze uncertain what to do. Then Fiona ran to the reeds and started to untangle to Grindylow. She was not sure if it understood what was happening or that she was trying to help because it bit and nipped at her fingers in an attempt to escape. She knew it was probably so scared and panicked. She remember once a foal on her families farm got caught up in some vines and panicked in a similar manner. Her mother got the foul out safe and she was determined to do the same. With one more tug she managed to get it free. The little creature ran back to the water without a backward glance but she did not care. She got it safe and that is all that counted.
