Really, You're Still Hungry?
Kevin hummed as he leaned back in his seat. He didn't know how much he ate, he was sure though that he was probably on his second or third plate. He couldn't help himself. He would push his plate away and try to engage in conversations with his friends only to hear his stomach rumble again. So, once again, Kevin was eating, his plate piled high with mashed potatoes and and chicken, as well as bits of corn and carrots. Sure, the food at Hogwarts might have been healthy, but it was still good. Reminded him of home, but at the same time, it reminded him how great Hogwarts was to have such a good feast.
Kevin sat quietly among his peers, now engaging little to no conversation as he began to shovel mashed potatoes into his mouth. A pleased groan left his mouth then, a perfect hum coming out as closed his eyes, slowly rocking back and forth. Maybe Kevin was weird, he didn't mind though. Didn't mind as his magic buzzed happily underneath his skin. Slowly, Kevin's plate began to dwindle down into nothing.
Okay, Kevin. That's enough. You don't need to eat anymore... Kevin tried to repeat those thoughts in his mind, he really didn't need to be eating anymore, but the moment he looked towards the mashed potatoes again, Kevin was reaching out and scooping another glob onto his plate, A few more bites won't hurt.
Once again, Kevin began to ate, humming in content as he let his eyes closed. It was amusing, seeing Kevin the way he was. A first year on the tinier side looking like the cat that ate the canary. Kevin knew though, that his stomach was only going to be able to handle so much. Especially with the way it was beginning to hurt. Oof, maybe he already ate too much. Reluctantly and with all his strength, Kevin put his spoon down and pushed his plate away. He really did need to stop eating.

Mildred sighed in annoyance, recently she's been struggling in her classes which was an unknown experience to her. Throughout her whole life, she's always been the top of her class, just what would her parents think of her recent grades? She crumbled up her recent paper and threw it out, the bright red failing grade of a P still burned in her mind. Although she had no-one to blame but herself, these past months she's been doing the unimaginable, or well the unimaginable to her she's been buzzing around the school partaking in the various amounts of errands and doing another array of social activities, during her first few months Mildred practically lived in the library consistently studying and reading, although nowadays you could find her just about anywhere around the school.
Mildred was happy with the recent changes although, she was sick and tired of moping around all day studying, she really wanted to get herself out there although in the end she didn't know how, and she probably wouldn't do anything to social yet. Guided by her stomach, Mildred found herself entering the Great Hall. The previous mentality she harbored she would have been at the library studying to fix her previous homework although now she knows that nothing else could be done and she did try her best, she shouldn't really beat herself over it. Instead, she decided to get some food, plus speaking from previous experiences she never studied well on an empty stomach.
Walking in through the Great hall was always a pleasant experience, it reminded her of back home and her old muggle school whenever she was finished with PE class she would walk back into the gym and the cool air would immediately cool her down, it was the same here the smell of food immediately made her happy, the sound of laughter echoed through the hall, She looked around seeing many of her peers enjoying the delicious dishes they served here. Mildred quickly decided to get a plate of mashed potatoes and looked around to see if she knew anyone, upon further inspection none of her friends seemed to be here sadly, although she did notice something or rather someone. She noticed a young boy eating, like really eating, she watched in awe as he finished another plate and scooped up more mash potatoes. Although the young boy did seem really happy eating and why stop him? although she was a bit worried for him.. she walked over and said, "I think you should really stop eating.. Don't want you to end up in the hospital wing for eating..." She was really worried about the kid, speaking from experience stomach aches were not fun.

Blinking open his eyes, Kevin turned to look towards the voice that had spoken to him. However, when his eyes caught the ones of the pretty blonde girl his cheeks immediately heated up. Oh, right. He forgot he was in the middle of the Great Hall and that everyone could see him stuffing his face. That was embarrassing, it is embarrassing. He didn't know what to say, only simply cleared his throat and said, "Yeah, I know. I'm trying to resist, but I can't help myself. The mashed potatoes are just so good." Kevin's smile was bright as a nervous chuckle bubbled from his throat. Taking the time to scoot over, Kevin held out his hand, "Nice to meet you. I'm Kevin O'Reilly. Sorry you had to witness me scarfing down too much food. Do you want to sit with me?"@Mildred Wilson
It was then that Kevin took his time to look over the girl. She looked about his age, and her hair was a nice blonde color. Kevin couldn't tell the color of her eyes, but nonetheless, they looked pretty. Kevin wasn't going to comment on her looks, however. She was pretty, no doubt about that. It was just the fact that Kevin did not know how to compliment people. He simply preferred to not make a fool of himself. He simply wanted to be friendly, and inviting someone to sit with him seemed friendly enough.
Despite being friendly, Kevin took in the sight of the yellowish emblem on her robe. A Hufflepuff. Kevin had made one friend in Hufflepuff, an aquaintence really, he didn't talk to Jade often enough to call her a good friend he thought, either way though, he didn't mind. Kevin voiced his thoughts in a happy manner, "You're a Puff, yeah? My friend is in Hufflepuff as well. I haven't heard from her in a bit though. How are you liking Hogwarts?" Kevin had to pat himself on the back mentally. He wasn't rambling, which was good enough for him. Ever since he's started at Hogwarts, he couldn't help but notice that every time he would meet someone knew, he would ramble, and effectively scare them off.
This time would be different though, he had a good feeling about this one.

Opeila ran through the castle. The seeker would start looking very soon and she had to hurry. The Slytherin was thinking. Where should she go? Library? The place was huge and she surely would be able to hide there, but somehow she felt like that was the first place, where the seeker would look.
The Trophy Room? No, no, and no again. It was so quiet in there, people would be able to hear her before they saw her. Also she had her meeting with the dhampir Kaegen Deathmote, while she had been bleeding, in mind. The tension and fear that wouldn't go away.
No, not a good idea.
In the end the Slytherin chose the Great Hall. She would just disappear between her housemates.
So the Great Hall it was. Opeila walked through the tables and sat down close to a group of Slytherins. She opened her hair an made sure to keep her head down. Perfectly hidden, she looked like many others. Her appearance was not special, there was nothing that would catch the seeker's attention if she entered.
And when she was here already, she could as well have lunch. Smiling Opeila pulled a bowl of pasta closer to her plate.
You don't have to pay any attention to me, I am just hiding xD

From the corner of her eye, Mildred saw a sudden movement. She looked up and saw a young Slytherin girl whizzing past her, although this wasn't that strange she was literally in a school for magic, however, they still piqued Mildred's interest, she yelled after the girl. "HE-" before she could even get the word out the girl was gone, Mildred supposed they were doing something important due to their urgency.
She refocused her attention back to her new acquaintance, she couldn't help herself but smile at what he had said. The food here was really good, from her first day at Hogwarts- she hadn't had one single reason to complain about the food here, it was always that good.. she thought back to the custard she had the other day, and how could she forget the Treacle tart she ate a while ago. To her dismay her stomach emitted a loud grumble, she could feel heat spread all over her face she hoped he didn't hear that- the room was drowned in chatter from the other students.
Kevin O'Reilly... Mildred thought to herself, what an interesting name, although she thought everyone had an interesting name other than her own- Mildred just felt like such an outdated name. She wondered just how to pronounce his last name, she knew many Hogwarts students stuck to a last name basis however she would completely butcher it, she supposed it would be alright to use his first name. She saw him reach out his hand for a handshake she guessed, she stretched out her hand and shook it, "Well-" she released her hand, "Kevin! it's my pleasure my name is Mildred Wilson!" she thought back on her own name, perhaps she could really go by a nickname or something. She smiled at him, "although feel free to call me anything you want!"
"Don't worry about it, you must have been really hungry huh?" She nodded at his question of if she wanted to sit with him, she had nothing better to do plus she didn't want study right now, she'll have to do it later though. She sat down and just then remembering her plate of mashed potatoes she began to eat. She sighed in relief, she understood why Kevin had multiple plates of mashed potatoes, if only she had some cheese... she could sprinkle it and then the dish would truly be perfect.
When Kevin mentioned that she was a Hufflepuff, she glanced at him and tried to stifle a laugh- although it was no use, her laughter erupted, soon to be drowned by the hall. "pftt- HA".. she paused to regain herself, "h- How did I not notice this before?" she looked at his blue robes, Kevin reminded her so much of her Hufflepuff friend, Ethen. She couldn't help herself, although she soon realized that he probably thought she was crazy after laughing at him like that. She smiled at him, "Sorry! it's not what you think." she thought on just how she should go on about explaining herself. "You just remind me so much of my Ravenclaw friend!... Ethen! He also really likes eating I think you two could be great friends." She wasn't sure if Ethen was her friend, although she supposed it was fine. Was this a recent trend with Ravenclaw students? did all of them become plagued with uncontrollable hunger? she thought this was funny though maybe they all could one day go someplace to eat.
After calming a bit down from her sudden outburst, she nodded. "Yeah! I'm in Hufflepuff" although she still doesn't think she fits in with the other puffs... "Sorry to hear that though I hope you can see your friend soon!" she began to eat more mashed potatoes, man these things were addicting she thought. The next question he asked shocked her, she wasn't really expecting a question like that as well, she wasn't sure how to answer it. "Uhmm" She paused, thinking back on everything that has happened so far, although it wasn't much" "Well... I'm liking Hogwarts so far! Everyone so far has been super nice and I've been having a lot of fun" She supposed she'd leave it to that, if she wanted to truly answer it then she might have rambled on and on, she did have a tenancy to talk once she got comfortable with someone- she returned the question back to him, "What about you? How are you liking Hogwarts so far?"

Really, You're Still Hungry?
Kara returned to the Great Hall to check if anyone had passed her after she left when she had her little chat with Willow, Alan, and Ruka. She only had a few people left to find till she faced victory. It's glorious light of triumph glowed so close to her. She just couldn't reach it yet.@Opelia Seilun @Jorah Moussa
She passed a few people chatting, some eating, and others studying and doing homework. She decided to go to the Slytherin table to grab a snack during her search. She walked through the corwd of Slytherins and she grabbed a cauldron cake and stuffed it into her mouth.
As she was going down the table, she pulled out her reference sheet and looked at the Slytherin page.
"Persephone and Opelia are the only Slytherins in this. Other than me of course." Kara noticed on her paper.
She looked down the table from the end that the professor's table was. She searched for either a blonde haired Persephone or a black haired Opelia.
Kara had meet Opelia before but didn't know her well, Persephone she didn't know at all though, so Persephone had the advantage of being unknown to Kara.
Kara walked down the table and noticed one girl with black hair had her head down, like she was trying to avoid something. No..someone.
"Found you Opelia!"

Really, You're Still Hungry?
Kevin blinked when he saw the Slytherin girl whiz passed, quickly he turned to see where she had gone before blinking when he lost sight of her. Huh, that wasn't something you see everyday. Not that it was bad. Just the fact that there was a lot of things going on here at Hogwarts.
"Huh, that was pretty weird. Did you know her?" Kevin asked, turning to look at his new Hufflepuff friend before blinking again when she had let out a loud guffaw. He didn't really know what to say, and in the back of his mind he wondered if this girl was crazy. He wasn't going to say anything though, he was a nice person when he wanted to be and as his mother always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." However, when the girl suddenly, Mildred was her name, quickly began to explain what was happening, and why she was laughing, he simply shrugged his shoulders and smiled back, "Don't worry, I don't blame you for laughing. Unfortunately, I've never met him, maybe you can introduce me to him if I don't meet him first, seeing as you said he is also a Ravenclaw."
Kevin figured they were having a good conversation, at least, he thought so until he had to think for a moment about the question Mildred had thrown back at him. How did he like Hogwarts? He didn't really have anything bad to say about it. Sure, he missed his mom and dad and his little sister, but at the same time this was his home now. He didn't really like having to sleep with a bunch of other boys in the same room, it got loud sometimes and he usually liked to spend his time in the library, sometimes studying, other times to simply go there and play chess.
He enjoyed his time here at Hogwarts, and enjoyed how he could make friends his own age without letting everyone know that he was a wizard, like when he was in muggle grade school. He certainly missed those times as well, but being here at Hogwarts, after what his family had told him was also a great opportunity to make new memories that he would be able to cherish forever. Kevin blinked, though, when he came out of his thoughts, and immediately a rush of heat spread through his cheeks. Mildred was probably waiting on him to respond, and here he was zoning out.
"I like Hogwarts very much. Everyone is nice and I enjoy the friends I have made so far. I do miss home, and my family, but I want Hogwarts to become my second home as well. So you can say, I am liking it very much," Kevin said, smiling slightly before looking down at his plate, "Honestly, one more plate wouldn't hurt."

Regarding the girl from before, Mildred shook her head. "Nope! I have no clue who that was" Mildred didn't know who she was, but she has definitely seen the girl here and there before. She looked around for the girl once again although to her dismay, she couldn't find her, what a shame she thought. She hoped the girl was doing well wherever she was.
Mildred cringed at her outburst from earlier, great job Mildred just great. She could practically say good-bye to her social career, although not like she had one before. Mildred was pretty sure she's destined to live in a library, with no social contact at all although that could be cool. Perhaps, she could become moaning myrtle 2.0 but like.. alive and dozens will flood to the library just to see the girl who was shunned in there just because of a random burst of laughter she had. Alright, who was she kidding? the chances of this were slim to none and plus she thought, Kevin, didn't seem like the type to go around spreading rumors of her or something like that.
Thankfully, listening to Kevin response it seemed that he didn't think of her as some nut-case, at least she thought so. "Oh that's a shame" Her eyes lit up at the thought of her Huffle friend, truly he was a good sport for being so kind to her when he was partnered with her in the errand. There were a thousand possibilities and other things he could have done, like, he could have perhaps caused some scene claiming he didn't want to be partnered with her.. the list goes on. "I hope you meet him one day! I'm sure you two would get along" she beamed at him.
While listening to his experience of Hogwarts, she agreed. She was grateful for the handful of friends she has made so far, they were all lovely in their own ways, Although she didn't miss her family at all and she's sure that her family doesn't care on how she's doing here at Hogwarts, although at times there's a faint hope that they do. Mildred thought back on one popular saying, "blood doesn't define family" and she hoped that this could apply here too, she hoped that during her stay here she could find some people to call her own family. "I'm glad you've had such a great experience so far!" Mildred was a tad bit curious of his home life as he did mention he missed it, she supposed it must have been good?"Do you have any siblings, if you don't mind me asking that is"
Mildred supposed everything was going well until she heard Kevin say "Honestly, one more plate wouldn't hurt." she truly thought that was an awful idea, although what's the worst that could happen? she decided why not she would join him too. She grabbed another plate and piled on some corn and chicken.
