Anna thought long and hard about Calista's question. She didn't seem to have thought about it, but according to her answer, it wouldn't bother either her father or her mother. Calista gave a small smile of gratitude and joy at the thought of discovering some of her interlocutor's family's books.

— "Okay, then I'm relieved. I'll be delighted to read the books you lend me!" she said sincerely.

It was still surprising, the way Anna had approached her and how the conversation had become so pleasant and fluid. Calista liked people like that, people who were proactive and easy to talk to. And besides, the discussion was about books... so she could do anything but complain! She gave a little laugh at the mention of the name "Book Buddies". It sounded good, maybe even too good.

— "Yeah, I love that name..." she thought for a few seconds before speaking again, "we could meet up on the same day of the week to talk about different books, if you'd like. I also think I own some that might interest you", she suggested.

She shivered slightly. It was starting to get cold near the lake. She would soon be heading back to the castle.

— "In the meantime, I hope we'll cross paths again before then. I will be there. It was a pleasure meeting you, Anna".

Anna smiled, and kept in the back of her mind to meet Calista again in the following week. She'd have to write this down later so she wouldn't forget it.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Calista!" she replied cheerfully.
If that girl also had some books she could show to Anna, then maybe they could have a lot of fun reading together in a close future as "book buddies" ... And friends. What a nice thought.
The cold air lightly brushed against their skin as Calista left, but Anna wasn't ready to leave just yet. Especially because... She just spotted a particularly pretty flower. A small daisy that had grown much bigger since last time Anna saw it. No, it wasn't time to leave for the castle just yet. She didn't accompany Calista when the girl left, and instead approached the daisy to observe it.
She didn't forget her new friend, and reflected upon their meeting for a long time. She couldn't wait to see Calista and her beautiful face again. She wanted to talk about books again next time. That's what she thought about while she hummed, sitting next to a flower as lovely as both of the girls were, and hoped their friendship would bloom like this flower did.
What a lovely day to meet someone new.
