Roleplaying as Ginyami Midorimori from Mahoutokoro
"English | Japanese"
Place: At the edge of the London Quidditch Stadium behind most of the tents
Date: Tuesday, July 16, 2024
Time: Around mid-morning
As if he had to make up for how gently and kindly he had behaved the previous night, Ginyami waited for everyone to get ready for or be at breakfast before violently snatching up Sara's stupid spherical cat-dressed-as-a-shark plushie, evidently named 'Samantha', and taking it toward the very edge of the London Quidditch Stadium where he could find some privacy behind all the tents and closer to the stands. The horrendous abomination even smelled like him. How dare Samantha smell like him?!

Well. He would take care of that soon enough.

Once he was certain he was in a secluded-enough place and there wasn't really anyone else around, the young man vehemently threw the stuffed animal onto the ground and brought out his wand to aim it at the object of his ire.

Ginyami considered turning the thing into a spider with the Teddy Bear to Spider transfiguration spell, figuring that there wasn't much difference between a teddy bear and...whatever Samantha was considered to be. A cosplaying cat, perhaps? Regardless, even if it was successful, the teenager knew his peer would not be deterred from hugging, clinging to, and overall still loving the dastardly, detested atrocity. No...turning it into a spider was too good for it.

"Levioso," he said, performing the levitation spell to make objects levitate, but not be moved or repositioned. It would be easier to cast the spells he intended to on it this way without leaving any evidence of his activities on the ground under or surrounding the hateful plushie.

Once the spell was levitating before him at around eye-level, his fox eyes narrowed as he glared at it. "Kimochi warui," he uttered to the plushie. Disgusting; horrible. He aimed his wand at it again. "Trichaufero," Instantly, the toy was devoid of fur.

What followed was a string of Japanese curse words, real magic curse words, various degrees of damage inflicted, and a great deal of passionate hate...that perhaps may not have been entirely directed at the plushie alone.

But it was the only thing he could take his anger out on just then. So take out his anger he did.

"Aho." Stupid.

"Distringo." The plushie began to be stretched to ridiculous lengths until it was pulled apart. "Reparo," But a quick Mending Charm returned it to how it was in the first place.

"Baka." Idiot.

"Melofors." Samantha's head turned into a pumpkin. But that wasn't enough to satisfy Ginyami.

"Hetakuso! Gomi!" Useless! Trash!

"Confringo!" he yelled at it, causing it to instantly explode. But another quick Mending Charm restored it so he could curse at it both literally and figuratively yet some more.

"Busu! Shita! Kitanai!" Ugly! Inferior! Dirty!

"Reducto!" The stuffed toy was reduced to a fine mist. Then it was quickly restored once more with yet another Mending Charm.

"Yarou! Saitei!" Asshole! Worst!

"Bombarda!" Samantha was once again destroyed by way of exploison. And, once again, returned to her former self by way of Mending Charm.

"Deteike! Shine!" Get out of here! Die! His volume increased as his rage grew hotter. "Shine, shine, SHINE!" Die, die, DIE!

"Incendio Tria!" Samantha was immediately set on fire.

Ginyami watched her burn slowly, his narrow eyes glittering with loathing as he seemed to imagine the plushie's silent screams curdling up from the flames like smoke. He was so entranced by watching the fake animal be torched that he forgot to pay attention to his surroundings entirely.

Hanako could be rather surprised by what he could stumble into every time he decided to take a walk around the campground. Last time it was fiery hot donut pranks. And since then his strolls haven’t really beat that particular event. Rest were pretty tame. But luckily for him, he was a magnet for trouble. Or at the very least, interesting thing tends to follow him. Or even more honestly, he is attracted to said trouble. Specifically, a string of Japanese curses. Perhaps he hasn’t wasted his time researching ‘most common Japanese curse words’ for nothing.

With his lightest steps, he peeked from behind the nearest tent to scope the commotion. And how much he had to risk his own life to peek closer. And much to his joy, the sight was delectably enjoyable. And for once, he’s not talking about the angry-still kinda hot- navy robe wearing student. But instead the cat plushie ( at least the remnants of it ) which was in the middle of bursting up in flames. Hanako let the stranger have his silence of peace for a moment before he ruined it with a boisterous laugh.

HAHAHAH ! Oh man! And I thought I hated cats. Oh god.. Buddy this is just so precious hahahah!” Hanako had to take a moment to calm his breath for a moment before continuing, a bright - very interested - expression on his face as he stepped out of his hiding spot and closer to the pair. But not too close in case the other student had his wand out and ready to set him on fire next. Just a bit enough for them to hear each other clearly, Hanako’s hand gently hovering over the pocket of his wand. Practiced well enough to whip it out in a second, thanks to his years of duelling. “ Oh please, don’t tell me that’s all you got? You seem to be having fun~. Couldn’t possibly be done for the day?” he sighed dramatically, glancing at the very on fire plushie. He would need to extinguish it soon, if the other boy didn’t. Not like either of them seem to want to gather attention to this obvious assault going on. “ So? What’s the tea behind this? Someone you hate giving you this gift? Cursed? Not going to lie, I truly hope it really is just your distaste for cats. Then I’d be way more interested than simply hearing about your life”.

Now that Hanako took a good look at the boy, he recognised that uniform. Mahoukotoro. The Japanese wizarding school. How even more interesting. Weren’t they the more reserved bunches compared to some other foreign schools? Whatever it is, he only dearly hoped they didn’t start speaking Japanese with Hanako just because of his looks. That would kill the vibe entirely.

The impudent laughter that rang out from behind Ginyami caused him to startle and tense, eyes widening before narrowing again. He made sure to recompose himself with a smile, but he must have been trying a little too hard, because by the time he turned around to face the stranger, the result ended up looking like something akin to Sara's attempts.

"You know...you're right!" he answered in a voice that was just a bit too cheerful to be genuine. "I couldn't possibly be done for the day...and yet abusing this abomination has done little to relieve my stress. Perhaps I should focus my efforts on you instead..." The Mahoutokoro student raised his wand even as he appraised the nosy young man.

They appeared to be the same age and the teen before him even appeared to have Japanese features, but Ginyami was certain he hadn't seen him at Mahoutokoro before. Was he only part Japanese, perhaps? Or had he been relocated after being born in Japan? He didn't seem to have any kind of Japanese accent when speaking English...almost like he had been speaking it as hi first language for his whole life. And perhaps he had.

"The 'tea'?" Ginyami repeated, so puzzled that he actually lowered his wand without realizing. "There is no tea here. If you want some, then you'd better run along to breakfast instead of lingering." If he knew what was good for him then, he would have taken the fox-eyed youth's advice. But something about the look in this one's eye told Ginyami that he wasn't the kind to know what was good for him, much less take someone else's advice. Regardless of his clearly Japanese heritage, he looked, spoke, and acted like a walking disaster waiting to go off.

"Funny you think I have any intention whatsoever of telling you about my life. If it's information you want, then you're going to have to trade me," he said in a little, taunting, sing-songy voice. At least until it dropped entirely into a much deeper, less amused one. "Who are you and what school do you hail from?"

Oh what a chiling smile for someone who looked insane just a moment ago. Hanako wondered if this person was right in the head, but he thought in the end that hey - even if he wasn’t sane, at least he seemed fun.

Ah ah~” He hummed, bringing his wand out of his pocket to match the other stranger as they decided to make a tiny threat about setting him on fire instead. He watched the other careful and mimicked their wand movements. If the other pointed it towards Hanako, he would do the same. The hogwarts student, despite the threat- seemed utterly carefree. As if this wasn’t the first time he had a wand directed towards him. “ You might want to rethink that. Just fyi, “ his eyes glanced back at the sizzled plushie. “ I’m pretty sure I can make a bigger fire.”. He bragged before letting out a light laugh.

Seeing him lower his wand, Hanako did too. “ .. Well, I enjoy those too. But I mean ‘tea’, as in.. ‘ history’. Or.. ‘ drama’ .. erm.. ‘ gossip’. “ he shaked his head with a light chuckle. “ a little out of touch with the muggle slangs, hm?”

Oh sounds like a fun game” he teased back, looking even amused as the other asked him his question. “ Tone, Hanako. Last name - first name, respectively. People call me Hana here. And I’m from Hogwarts. My turn~, who does that belong to, and what crimes did it commit to deserve this?” he used a free hand to point to the plushie behind Yami. Seemingly more interested in the fluffball than Yami himself.

If there was anything to be said for this student other than the fact that he seemed to have some Japanese blood in him, it was that he had guts. He was completely and utterly impudent and disrespectful, but he still had guts. He didn't seem the least bit intimidated by Ginyami, even after indicating he had watched the navy-robed student's little display, which made the pureblood all the more curious about him. Did he know something Ginyami did not? He seemed ready to use magic at a moment's notice, in any case, and the fact that he was 'pretty sure he could make a bigger fire' intrigued the Mahoutokoro teen. If it had been someone from Ginyami's school, he was certain they would have found a much more subtle and perhaps tactful way of implying their confidence in their magical abilities, but being outright boastful and arrogant just seemed to be the typical way of most westerners in Ginyami's experience.

"Might I?" he asked in terms of wanting to rethink using magic against the intruder. "Very well, then," he said, stepping aside to gesture to the plushie. After returning it to its original state, he turned back to the other young man, inviting him to use his magic on Samantha. "I would love to see just how much bigger a fire you would dare to make without getting caught."

He blinked when the fellow mentioned 'history', 'drama', and 'gossip'. "Oh...is that what they call it?" he asked, remembering finally to lighten up his smile so it was more like his usual one and less like Sara's version. "And how would you happen to know, then? Are you, perhaps, related to these 'muggles', then? In my country, we call them 'mumajin'." The word 'muggles' might have fit better, though. It sounded utterly ridiculous, like a child's term. 'Mumajin', as a Japanese term, sounded far more refined than the beings deserved, Ginyami felt.

Was that amusement on this Hanako's face? And he was calling the exchange of information that Ginyami suggested a 'game'? Furthermore, when he gave the requested information, rather than asking for Ginyami's name and school, he asked who the plushie belonged to and what crimes it committed to deserve 'this'. How intriguing.

Ginyami's smile turned more wicked without his realizing, but he hardly bothered keeping up appearances with this Hogwarts student. He was almost certainly not a pureblood, though it was fascinating that he at least knew enough about Japanese culture to know that the Japanese tended to introduce themselves with their last name first. Ginyami was having a very tough time getting a read on just how smart or stupid this other teenager was. Perhaps he was an equal mix of both.

Funny he cared to know who the plushie belonged to when it could have easily just belonged to Ginyami himself. Hanako had even asked if it had been a gift from someone he hated, so he knew that was a possibility. Yet he asked the question anyway. Did he care about the plushie's owner, whomever they might have been? Or, at least, that he might have known the plushie's owner?

"This plushie belongs to Sara Kohana," Ginyami announced more gently than the look on his face would have suggested he was capable of. There were practically flames in his narrow eyes. "As for its crimes...it's been a hinderance to me, getting between me and what I want. But rest assured...I will return it to its owner in the same conditiion I took it so that said owner will be none the wiser as to its experiences while it was away from them."

He raised a brow and crossed his arms over his chest. "Now - why are you so interested in who this plushie belongs to? And what do you plan to do with the information you recieve about it?"

" I said I can make a bigger fire, not that I should. And judging by how you're hiding behind tents like this, you know you shouldn't either. " he shrugged, he did however walk closer towards Samantha. Keeping the other boy just enough within his vision so he could use the plushie as a shield if the other tried anything funny. Meanwhile he frowned looking a closer look at Samantha, poking her face rudely. " Ugly little thing, isn't it?"

"Mumajin? Sounds super fancy" he laughs, taking his attention away from the plushie to the boy. " Are you … trying to ask if I'm a muggleborn? Halfblood even? Hahah- you know that sort of question might earn you a side eye. People might think you'll change the way you act depending on my answer" he said playfully.

"Huh… Sara Kohana… what the heck… interesting name". Hanako mumbled mostly to himself. The meanins are totally different but didn't this person have a name too similar to him? It was like his name was being purposely flipped. Well - he hoped this Sara Kohana at least had a totally different personality than him. And judging from their taste in plushies, seems like it. " A hindrance… someone else's plushie was a hindrance to getting what you wanted.." he laughs. " I dont even know where to begin asking questions about that"

" Me? Well.. thats easy. Because I'm nosy. And my gut tells me this is a name I should remember. Sara Kohana~" he repeated with amusement. " Sounds cute"

" As to what I plan to do with this information… hm.. at this moment, really nothing concrete just yet. Unless theres a reason I should. Wonder if they're aware their friend took their plushie out to be tortured, with the intention of just giving it back to Sara as good as new"
