A New Mentor or...troubles?
Another day another homework.
Rose was almost counting days until the vacations and when she would be able to get home. Although she liked studying and doing homework lately she felt lazy and was getting bored quite easily on what she was doing -or were supposed to do-. That was however annoying and frustrating especially when about homework since she had no other choices than to do it.
She would have wanted to go outside taking a walk yet she was stuck in the study room on her homework she was struggling with. Really unusual. She decided to take a short break as she put her arms on the table taking care not to spill her ink or stain her sleeves and rest her head on it while letting her mind drifting away. She started to think about the starry sky she would probably be going to stargaze tonight. Again. Although that was making her lacking of sleep it turned out stargazing was easing her mind since she couldn't go out for a walk because of the winter coolness. Plus looking at twinkling stars on a dark blue tinted sky was rather agreeable. Rose was also particularly appreciating stargazing because it was reminding her of home and her brother she were not seeing much here at Hogwarts despite being in the same House. She sighed as she knew she had to start studying again.
However without realising tiredness had taken over causing her to close her eyes and letting her head falling a bit more on her arms that slightly moved to the way as she was falling asleep and started to dream about shining stars above her.
It was not without a slight glass rolling and falling noise to wake her up. Her eyes suddenly opened as she promptly straightened herself up looking around to find out where the noise came from hoping it wasn't her.
At the view in front of her she sighed and smiled in exasperation at her clumsiness. Her ink bottle had rolled over the table spilling ink on it before falling down on the floor and breaking. It was the second times she was spilling ink on a table and this time -to be the perfect combo- to end up broken up on the floor spilling more ink.
It shouldn't become an habit which she was scared of. Rose had to be more careful.
She sighed as she would have to clean everything without staining her homework parchment and repair her ink bottle.
What a luck she had!

“She looked towards the dark, starry sky wishing she could drown in its vastness, the way one drifts in the deep, endless ocean.”
