Meeting the family. Pv sage Miller Closed

Kayden felt an intense sorrow for Sage, as there was nothing he could do. Her hands were trembling violently, and she was weeping softly. Not knowing what else to do, he crawled into the bed next to her. He put an arm aruound her shoulder. He wanted to be comforting, but he also knew he had problems if his own. He would have to do his best to balance Sages needs, along with his own. Delilah was downstairs, probably eating lunch, and Kayden had seen John rooting through files of some such, and writing things down. Sage really was a mess.

She was crying her eyes out, and nightmares seemed to consume her every time she closed her eyes. Kayden held her closer, and said, "Just try to get some sleep ok? I'll be right here if you need me." They would be here for a couple more weeks, then it would be back to Hogwarts.Truthfully, Kayden would be sad to go. He enjoyed talking with Delilah,and being able to be in the same room as Sage, which was impossible at Hogwarts, considering slit dormitories and the fact they went to different houses. Kayden looked out the window and saw that dark rain clouds were gathering on the horizon. How fitting.

Sage felt better when Kayden got into the bed and held her. She slept against him, wrapping an arm around him and putting her head on his chest and sniffled. She looked out the window nearby and saw the rain, she curled under the covers. Thinking about the rain made her feel more sick and so she had to ignore the coldness. She was glad that right now she was warm. She felt bad because Kayden had his own problems and she was supposed to be the one comforting him. But she was ill and needed to get better, and being in bed all day definitely dropped her mood.

She looked up at Kayden, looking very sick. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm just a big burden to everyone, even you" she said. Her voice was low but it sounded sick and hurt. "I'm glad you're here with me though. You give me hope that things will be okay, I just hope you'll be okay. Even though it may not seem like it, I cannot lose you too. You're all I have left besides Delilah who I never get to see at Hogwarts." She said and hugged him tighter as she sighed and wiped her eyes. She needed to be strong, even if she had problems of her own, she had to, otherwise there would be no point.

Kayden didn't know what to say. The most traumatic experiences of his life had happend in the past few hours, and honestly, he wasn't much for words. He wished he could be there for her, honestly he did. Sadly, he would have to focus on himself, for one cannot be a messed up, broken person, and be able to properly help others. He sat up in the bed, and propped the pillows back up. He went to the restroom, and then walked down the hall, and into the dining room. Delilah was sitting there eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which she had somehow managed to get all over her face. She saw him and her face lit up. "Kwaydwen! Cwan I mwake wu a swandiwhch?" She said with a mouthful of food.

Kayden laughed and sat down. "Sure, what are my options?" She looked at him blankly. "Uh, Peanut butter and jelly or jelly and peanut butter." Kayden matched her gaze. "I'll take a jelly and peanut butter please." Delilah nodded resolutely, and she set to making the sandwich. She hummed a tune to herself, and came back about a minute later with a sandwich. Kayden looked at its floppy form. "A finer sandwich I have not yet seen." She laughed, and they sat down, and began discussing what it would be like to be a fairy.

Sage sniffled as she laid in bed, hoping that she'd feel better tomorrow morning so she could play with her sister. She sang a song softly to herself, one that her mother used to sing to her as a child. She saw a figure walk past the bedroom door out of the corner of her eye but ignored whoever it was. That was until she saw her mother poke her head inside the room. Sage felt even worse now and she didn't looked at the woman watching her sing. With a sigh, she walked into the room, sitting on the bed next to her.

Sage didn't know what she was doing but she knew this was only a one time thing. Her mother pet her hair gently and sang the song to her, getting comfortable next to her and singing her to sleep. Sage later did fall asleep, and so did the woman holding her daughter.

Sage's father walked past the door and saw them. He smiled softly and went over to kiss both of his girls' heads before going to find Delilah and Kayden in the dining room. Delilah had finished her sandwich "what do you think you're doing?" He scared the little girl and she squealed and giggled. John picked Delilah up and went to go give her a bath.

Quite unsure of what to do with himself, Kayden put away the utensils, and scrubbed down the dishes they had dirtied. When he was done, he put them away on the dish rack, and walked back upstairs to Sage. The door was closed. He opened it a crack, unsure of what he would find inside, and noticed Sage being held protectively by her mother. It was a nice sight, and one Kayden didn't want to tamper with. He closed the door again, and walked into the play room. He began picking up the toys and putting them in a box, away for the next time they would be used.

When he was finished with yet another task, he went to the study. He had always been interested on muggle books, with the their twist and turns, and extreme suspense. He picked one of the shelves, entitled "Blade Runner" He sat down one of the leather couches and began reading, intrigued by the story of a robot hunter, and one who used his own fists to do it as well. He was so lost in the book, he didn't know what time it was until it was around four in he afternoon.

Sage started to feel better. Her mother was already gone but she was feeling so much better, at least physically. She woke up and rubbed her eyes as she yawned and looked around the room to find it empty. She got up out of bed and poked her head out the door and looked around, walking around until she found Kayden. She smiled softly and walked over to him.

"Hey" she said as she got closer to him and sat down next to him and she sighed softly. She saw what he was reading and she smiled softly before walking away. She'd never read it but she remembered her dad reading it in his free time.

Delilah was giggling and running to her room as her dad chased her since she escaped from her towel and the bath. Sage giggled and watched them before looking away and down at the ground. She mentally didn't know what was wrong with her, but she wasn't about to say anything about it. She didn't want people to think she was crazy, so from now on she had to just be silent unless spoken to. She figured that was the best idea, then people wouldn't be nearly as affected as her.
